Water Temp: didn't check
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Caught some nice Browns (3.5 & 4.7)and Rainbows (2.6 & 3.1) trolling this past weekend. Using shad imitation lures, the ones you can't buy anymore from Storm. Used them before and had great results, they didn't forget them. Color selection is required as the day light changes, color selector helps.
City: OakhurstTips: Keep trying and best times are early and late, depth doesn't seem to be important as much now

Report: It's tough fishing out there period. Some of these other reports make it sound like it's wide open, well it ain't. The fish are small except for an occasional 14-15 incher. The high pressure flat squashed the bite. It will come back but everyone I talked with on the water said it was tough.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Folk's, I don't know Walter but I've heard the type of crap your throwing at him before. Do-not criticize one for possibly achieving something that has yet become the nominal.
About 8 to 10 years ago, during a Coyote Bait and Tackle Team Tournament, a 20+lbs limit on a little lake (Anderson Res.) in South San Jose/Morgan Hill was weighed in. Second place had 12 lbs. There was nothing but non-believers and skeptics until the following year, when 3 teams came in around 20 lbs. Yes, I was a member of the team that weighed in 20+lbs the first year and took third the following year. I friend of mine and his brother came in 1st the second year. First year I was fishing in 40 to 60 feet of water when everyone else was throwiung on the bank.
The problem is, if it doesn't fit to our idea of what is or isn't possible, we're immediate non-believers. Relax, and ask Walter to take you fishing and teach you what you've been missing.
Happy hooking to you all...

Report: WOW,
I am impressed with Walter's fishing. I know a bunch of pro's who have had their best days on Shasta with 17.79 pounds back in 2002. I have never heard of a bag that big from Shasta. I will tell you in 2002 while fishing with a buddy of mine who happens to be the pro who got the 17.79 bag I lost what would have been the biggest fish of my life right at the boat and it looked about 11-12 pounds. I caught that on a T-D minnow. But anywho Walter keep it up dude. By the way I am fishing a Tournament in Sept there you should register in it. With a bag that big you will win for sure.
