joking. On a serious note, Bryce, that #23 is working well here on Almanor and I will try it on another lake and tourney on Sunday. Looking forward to giving the others colors I got from you

    Water Temp: 74 to 76

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: In at Packers at 5:30 PM. slight wind out of the southwest. Went up the Sac to Potty Point and fish the wall to the north. Had a few hook ups but couldn't get anything to the boat. I was throwing some new colors and baits I had made earlier in the week. I think it was 7:30 or so before we boated a fish. I ended up with 12, but most were dinks, largest went 1.9lbs. The Blonde only caught 6 and she is looking over my shoulder to make sure I tell you hers ran from 1.5 to 2.0lbs., no dinks!! We used different worms, jig trailers, and a 4" lizard fished Texas rigged. All the plastics were BnS Worms in #23 Melon Pepper, #11 Motor Oil Wine, #30 Fall Craw, #31 Silver Shad(Ginger's worm), and your basic black trailer after the sun went down. Out at 12:00 midnight. Another beautiful night on Shasta.
    City: Cottonwood

Tips: The better fish came after dark on the way back to the ramp in Packers cove. We caught fish from the bank to 25 feet deep.

    Water Temp: 73.2-75.1

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: In at Bailey Cove at 740PM, air temp 76, 95 in town, lake at 24.5 ft down, wind wnw at 5, ran up the McCloud a bit and the water is dirty with mudlines spread out nearly 1/8 mile with all the traffic over the weekend. Started throwing at the bank with a B&S twintail in melon pepper on a 3/8oz dart head but I wan't getting bit, about 9pm I switched to a 1/2 oz football head and started dragging it over red mud points and hit them good boating 18 small fish in the next 45 minutes then I ran out of the melon pepper twin tails. Stuck some different grubs on and caught 3 more but the bite shut down when the moon got on the water. Ran back to Bailey and got out at 1145PM, very little traffic, air temp 67 and a very pleasant evening.
    City: Redding

Tips: the evening bite is great at sunset and a little after then it quits, fish were 12-18ft deep at first and on the bank by 915PM.

    Water Temp: 72.4

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: in at Jones Valley at 815pm, air temp 74, water temp 72.5 at the ramp witha slight push out of the south. Got on some submerged humps in the lower Pit and started throwing a blade and rip bait with no takers. Tied on some new plastics(twin tail grubs) and got bit on third cast by a fat 3.08 spot. replaced the twin tail on the 3/8oz darter head and moved a bit and got another one about 2 minutes later that went 2.65 and I am liking this new stuff. Ended up with 9 more by 1015 pm when the wind came up out of the east and things got a bit chilly. My team partner and good friend Bryce Fuller has gotten caught up making his own brand of plastics and i went to his place earlier today and picked up some stuff to try out. I was particularly interested in the twin tails he is making and managed to beg for about 4 different colors and probably 6 a piece in each color. The most productive is his Black Root Beer ,#18 and his color #14(Dark melon oil) and #23 Melon Pepper. My best three fish on any color came on the #18 and went 7.34lbs. Missed about 20 others and had a few dinks but all in all a nice evening out. I didn't throw any of his worms, kinda hard to lay down my darter head rig when I am getting bit repeatedly. Good stuff Bryce! Got out at 1030 pm, temp down to 59 with a chilly wind from the east. There is about enough for 4 rigs in the gravel right now and the lake is 20.24 ft down.

Report: THIS IS NOT A FISHING REPORT ,BUT AFTER SEEING THAT OTHERS BESIDES MY SELF HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY A BUNCH OF LOW LIFE THEIVES AT THE SHASTA LAKE BOAT RAMPS I THINK ITS TIME THEY PUT SOME KIND OF SECURITY AROUND THOSE RAMPS. THE LAUNCHING FEES SEEM TO BE GOING UP AND THE BREAKINS IN THE PARKING LOTS ARE ON THE INCREASE,A PERSON ON THE LAKE CANT REALLY ENJOY THEM SELFS KNOWING THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE ANYTHING LEFT WHEN THEY GET BACK TO THERE RIG.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: This is directed towards the guy that in early April lifted two tackle boxes filled with Lucky Craft lures out of my boat at Antlers boat ramp.... The reason it took me so long to get up to my van and gave you so much time to steal what it took me a very long time to accumulate, is because that was my last fishing trip prior to having open heart surgery.... I'm happy to say that the surgery was a sucess and that I'll be fishing Shasta again in a few weeks, and I believe I'll remember your boat and your face... It might be real smart for you to stay off Shasta for the rest of the year, because I'm going to be looking real hard for you, and if I find you, it would be real lucky for you if you had my lures to give back to me..... This is by way of a warning for everyone else, DON'T leave your boat ungarded even for as long as it takes to get to the top of the ramp as there seems to be a few low-lifes out there that will rip you off if you give them half a chance..... I lost 28 Lucky Craft pointers, sammys, kingyos, and others + two Shimano tackle boxes in just a few minutes, so beware of leaving anything that's loose....... Sorry to have to file a report like this, but I'm hoping that maybe someone else can learn from my mistake.......
