Water Temp: 60.8
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got in at Centimudi at 0605, debris all gone with the south wind that has blown it back out into the lake, 52 degrees, overcast, south wind a 8, ran over into the lower Sac arm for 12 fish by 0830, most came on rip baits thrown right on the bank and a couple of crank bait fish, didn't even get out the jig rod. My uncle is coming from Indiana this Friday and he loves a crank bait bite so that is why I used them this am, cooler weather forecasted for next week with showers off and on, went on home when the first rain drop hit me on the head, only 6 rigs in the lot, wind up to 15 when I got out, lots of debris out in front of the dam.

Water Temp: 59-63
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: the lake is 21ft down and dropping slowly as they dump to lower the delta salinity, the fish are moving up in most areas of the lake and a number are already on beds, water clarity has vastly improved over the last week with visibility down to 15 ft in some areas, still some debris present but not for long with the north wind blowing and lake levels receding, 30-50 fish per day is not umcommon now with most being dinks with a few 2-3lb fish thrown in and a fair amount of 5lb+ fish showing up regularly topped by an 8.1 lb hog caught last week. Just about anything thrown in the lake will produce, The wife and I had 24 in 2 hours yesterday over in the McCloud. Just find some warmer water and have at it. Some of the coves have fish all the way in the back, others don't so don't spend a lot of time in any one location unless you are getting bit. My fish lately are coming on watermelon green 4 inch worm made by my friend Bryce(by the way, i ran out, Bryce, need some more) and the MGM 127 4inch and 157 4 inch and, of course, my own concoction by way of 1/2 and 3/4 oz jigs tied up by yours truly. The better fish yesterday (2.86) came on a 3/4 oz, the wife got hers on an old broken back rebel. If your looking for some fast fishing for spots then now is the time at Shasta Lake, it will only get better for a month or so.

Report: well, sat was the day of my derby at sugarloaf cottages up the sac arm, and i had fun, except for having my engine die and i came in like 3rd to last place. Caught fish on worms, and brush hogs, one of the brush hog fish had a crawfish in its mouth, so i guess they want crawfish now. it was real cold, and horrible weather on fri, so the fish turned off almost. anyways work the rip rap and steep banks.
Tips: brush hogs, and brown green worms are best now, fish will pick up later with warm weather. good luck

Report: For my 14 b-day got up early and headed out to packers bay. launched at 7:30 and headed over to waters gultch on the sac arm. first ten minutes picked up a few dinks. around 8:30 it picked up caught about 9 fish within 1 hour all weighing over 1 1/2 pounds on my new favorite shad colored grub/worm thing.(ha). Headed up the arm a little further and found some bigger steep rocky slopes. within the first 30 min i had caught three fish pushing 2 1/2 on the same bait then caught the best smallie i have in a while, a nice 3 pounder off a rocky point. then went up to the sugar loaf area and landed my personal best bass at shasta a huge 4 1/2 pound prespwan spott. that just made my b-day.
City: ReddingTips: There are fish everywhere off steep rockey banks and points suspended in about 25-30 feet. today they were taken shad colored anything. the is NO STRIKE the line just gets very heavy. its great fishin.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Wow, what a differance a couple weeks make. Water temp's are up, the fish are spawnin in every phase. They're every where! The jig bite has been pretty awsome, if there is a ripple on the water,(otherwise they just peck at it). Been gettin em on 4" Zoom lizards also, on a splitshot rig, dragging from 5'-20'. It won't do any good to give up spots as I said before, they're everywhere. Put 31 in the boat Monday, with three over two pounds, and missed a bunch more.
City: ReddingTips: I love Mr. B's 3/4 oz jigs (secret color,Har!)with a Ymamoto 5" grub trailer, in Green pumpkin. Also anything green, in the lizard family.Go get em boys!!!!!!

Report: Fished small club from Medford, OR on Shasta last Saturday. I caught only 7 fish and nothing over 2.5, but all were keepers. I caught most of mine early on Lucky Craft jerk bait. Bite got very tough late, but I had some luck on crank bait. I was 5th with 7.4 lbs. First place was only 9.4 lbs. Not Shasta experts by far, but we had a great day and a good time. I want to thank JERRY for going out of his way to give me some pointers. The information was better than the execution. Art

Report: Went down to Shasta primarily to set up motel reservations and such for out upcoming week long trip in April, and had an hour or so to kill, so launched at Antlers and turned in on Salt Creek (I think).... Anyway, it was on the little arm where there are a couple of large boat docks with a houseboat from Jones Bay tied up to them.... Tossed a Lucky Craft live pointer in rainbow pattern and caught a 2 1/2 lb spot on the first cast off a minor point.... About a half-hour later, caught my biggest (to date) spot about two hundred yards further along on a nothing-looking gravel bank, altough she hit it about 15 feet from the boat when I paused my retrieve.... Almost jerked the rod out of my hands.... She weighed in at 4.75 on my digital scale.... For me, that is a huge fish, I usually wind up with no braggers, just passable fish...... The wind became a factor where I was right after that, and I decided not to push my luck and hang it up for the day.... Both fish came on the pointers, and both fish hit right after pausing the retrieve....
City: Williams, ORTips: No tips, pointers worked for me, but back at Antlers boat ramp another guy that I had met earlier said he caught all his on Senkos.... He fished early, I fished late.......Go figure...

Report: WENT OUT OF PACKERS BAY AND FISHED THE SAC ARM. IT WAS A GREAT DAY ON THE WATER.THE MORNING WAS SLOW WITH TWO FISH. THE BLOND GETTING BOTH OF THEM. 1 DINK AND ONE 2 1/2 LBS.BOTH FISH CAME ON 4 INCH WORMS IN OX BLOOD COLOR. PULLED IN ON A FLAT ON THE SAC AND WE FOUND THE MOTHER LOAD.THE FIRST 5 CASTS WE HAD 5 SPOTS WITH THE BIGGEST 4LBS.ALL ON JIGS. WE CAUGHT 10 FISH OFF OF THAT FLAT IN ABOUT 15 TO 20 FEET OF WATER SO THE FISH ARE MOVING UP ON THOSE FLATS.I CAUGHT A 4LBER A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO IN A CREEK CHANNEL ON A JIG SO THAT MIGHT BE A GOOD BET FOR A KICKER.WE ENDED UP CATCHING SOME WHERES AROUND 30 FISH WHAT A DAY. OUR BEST SEVEN WOULD BE SOME WHERE AROUND 16 PLUS LBS WITH THE 4LB KICKER. SHASTA LAKE IS TURNING ON BIG TIME. I DID BEAT THE BLOND ON THE CATCHING END THIS TIME BUT NOT BY MUCH
City: ANDERSONTips: JIGS WERE CATCHING MORE FISH THEN WORMS TODAY,FIND FLATS AND FISH THE JIGS SLOW THE LAKE IS ON THE RISE AGAIN CAME UP A FT OR SO WHILE WE WERE ON THE LAKE TODAY.

Can't wait till tomorrow a.m. for the rip bite. 12 in the boat, and a bunch if misses(as usual) in only three hours. Sac. arm.
