Report: Congratulations to the team o Randy McDaniel and Terry Sexton, 11.55 lbs won it and got them a good pay day, it took 9.90 lbs to get a check. Mnay o the guys that normally do well struggled today and the sacks were light compared to a week ago. Bryce and I could not get the rip bite going save or 1 ish that Bryce caught, the rest came on jigs and mostly in the stumps o the lower pit. There were(I think) 58 boats and the big ish was only a 3.68 spot. The weather was great with some wind out o the north but the aternoon saw temps in the mid 60's. Good time had by all, Terry your my hero! Stay away rom small dogs! and that's another story!!!!

Tips: most o ours came on 1/2 oz ootball heads with MGM shasta crawlers threaded in 6-25 t o water, the root beer lavor was the most productive.

Report: Ino or Keswick, yes there are some very nice ish in Keswick, mostly spots with some smallmouth, I have never caught a largemouth in there but have heard o them being taken, the trout ishing is usualy good, I can't imagine wading or swimming Keswick as the water temp coming out o the bottom o the dam is usualy around 42 degrees. There are however, some hazards you should be aware o. I you leave the ramp and head upstream you will enter a rocky area about a mile up where you will be in 70t o water, you will also be passing some 69t rocks, the lower part is pretty much hazard ree but upstream is dangerous or those who are not aware o the channel up there. The other problem with Keswick is the thets that occur at the ramp or in the parking lot. Trailers have been stolen, trucks broken into and vandalized. I imagine you noticed that the lot and ramp are out in the "boonies" a bit and some o the local thugs(cranksters) will hit your vehicle without any ear o getting caught due to the remote nature o the ramp and parking area. The ishing is good though and very under utilized. I have caught spots to 3lbs and trout to 10 lbs inthe upper ends o Keswick where the lows are obvious. a threaded nightcrawler in ront o a 1 1/2 inch slinky bounced along the bottom as you drit downstream is deadly. Keep your glass boat at home and use a tin boat unless you REALLY know keswick or you are likely to pay the price.. crankbaits are good but jigs ished on the bottom are not so hot as you will be winding in a lot o grass with anything that spends a little time on the bottom.

Report: Fished ABA this last weekend, and my partner and I weighed in 10.67 pounds with a 5 ish limit. I started out the week on tuesday preishing catching 16 pounds or 5 ish.and then on thursday I caught a six pounder. All o my ish preishing came on blades ishing windy points. On tounament day things changed the wind stopped blowing and the bite had changed. The solor chart said that sunday the prime bite was going to be 2:30 pm, and it was pritty accurate. I had to change all my tactics to ind the ish and never did ind the once I caught on tuesday. I ound the ish shallow alright, but they did not want any reaction bait. They wanted a 6 inch craw colord worm rom MGM. Don't know the number o it, but it is brown, with a light bottom. We had a good stringer o ish with two o our ish being in the 2.60 pound range. They looked like clons. Anyway I guess one o the reasons we carry so much gear in our boats is to be ready or anything! By the way guys ABA pays really good money they have some awesome side pots that my partner and I unortunitly did not putin or. We still did OK with 590.00 bucks.

Report: Beautiul morning this am, in at Packers at 645 am. lake at 90.1 t down, air temp 49, went up into the lower McCloud to look or some ish or a club tournamet on Sunday, didn't throw much but when I did it was dinks. used a jig or most and could not ind any rip bite. The ramp at packers is down to 2 lanes and the one nearest the bank is ull o mud, as is centimudi which is really loaded up, sugarloa is good, antlers is out o the water as is bailey cove, hirz bay has two lanes but very muddy, when you go to get your boat out ride the brake a bit or risk coating your boat with a lot o red mud at Hirz Bay, Jones Valley is now on the secondary ramp with the loat in place and a dusty drive in and out i the ground isn't wet and muddy i it is. Did not see any surace action this am and ound the bait to be in mid-channel and deep. looks like the winter pattern is here, the temp warmed up quickly in the 79 degrees air temp at 1pm when I got out.

    Water Temp: 62.7-64.1

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: this one will cover nearly a month as I did not post in preparation or a tournament put on by Shasta Cascade, the lake is at 87.9 and rising slowly due to the over 5 inches o rain over the 7-10 Nov period. Was out about 17 times since my last report, 10 o those with my uncle rom Indiana who was visiting rom the 19-26 Oct. i was throwing top water early or a number o decent ish with 6 over 2.5 and those were topped by my uncles 4.2 spot on the 23rd in the upper sac. The worm ishing is two simple rules, drop shot the MGM #69 in a 4inch and try the Rainbow worm company's #99, both produced well but the #69 was the winner hands down. Mysel and two riends have caught a ton o bass over the last 3 weeks on the MGM #69. The rip bite, spook bite and others were good or the last month but went away quickly, right now with overcast conditions you can throw something like that all day. Bryce Fuller( my team partner)and I went out Saturday morning with 76 other teams trying to get the good bite. Weather was heavy overcast with periodic showers o and on all day. We let bridge bay at 0645 and ran upstream to one o Bryce's spots as the wind came up out o the south, got on his water and or 10 minutes nothing is working till he hooks a keeper and I boat a one only slightly larger, The rain starts at 7am and it was periodic all right, It didn't quit till 130 pm and was accompanied by 20 mph winds. nasty, nasty, nasty. We went to another spot and got out o the wind and on some worm ish and jig ish and managed 5 more in 15 minutes, we started culling and went through 60 plus ish or 11.05 lbs, not very impressive but we did our best, Bryce caught the most with his expertise with the worms and I lucked out with the biggest which might have went 2.5. The weather settled down a bit and we ran or the weigh in to learn that someone had just over 17 lbs. Worn out and tired, we let or home ater seeing a buch o 8.5 to 10lb limits. Sunday, I got up to dripping rain but no wind and meet Bryce at the Black Bear Diner, breakast was great and we headed or Bridge Bay with the rain getting worse every mile or so. Pulled into Bridge bay or the livewell check and paperwork and decide to go over to Packers to avoid the busy ramp. As we went down the hill to Packers the skys opened up and it REALLY started raining, drops the size o a nickel but no wind. We motored over to Bridge Bay and were third out on the day 2 roster. We ran up the lower pit where a riend o mine, Harland Brown, took me to a week ago and i stuck a keeper onthe irst cast with a crankbait. Bryce gets another one and we move inside some humps and ind some more ish in 35-55 t. We go past them and ish some creek channels and I get a good one on that ends up going 2.86lbs on a crank bait. Bryce suggests we try dropshotting the deeper ish and promptly puts on a "how to" class with his dropshot rig and gets 14 to my 4 in an hour. We have a limit by 9am versus a limit at 1215pm the day beore and then the rain QUIT!!!! and the water was lat. We run to a good jig ishing spot and throw our arms o but only manage 4, Bryce got 3 and we didn't cull anything out o the livewell. We run back to the spot Harlan showed me and get over some deep ish and boat 6 in 43-55 t and manage to cull out 2 o our smaller ish. We bang around the same area with jigs and crank baits and it is getting warmer we stripped o the guide wear and run or the weigh in at 3pm. We weigh in 13lbs and watch a number o guys coming in with 8-10lb bags but no one early with the same big weights as saturday. I igure we were mid pack so we head or Packers bay and get out and go on home. A good day today ishing with one heck o a worm isherman and a great guy. The next local event will be the Cottonwood Bass Team Fall Classic on the 7th o Dec, the winner will take home $100 a pound or his best limit. $150 per team and this includes the big ish which also pays $100 per pound so come on up and have at it! We averaged 1.71 lbs per ish, the day one leaders had roughly a 2.61 lb average and the big ish as ar as i know went 5.11.
    City: Redding

Tips: The MGM blue ghost #69 accounted or the most ollowed by the MGM Shasta crawler in rootbeer on a 1/2 oz ootball head, The Rainbow worm company's #99 got a lot ollowed by the MGM 127, 145 and my all time avorite the MGM #109 radar.
