Report: In at Jones Valley at 9:15am. Ran over to the entrance o Fort Creek Coves in the trees and right o Susan picked up a 13 incher on a carolina rigged 8" ribbon worm. The next ish was a dink or me on a june bug colored MGM 6". Susan caught one more in the trees, a 3.1 at spot. We then moved up the Squaw ishing the steep rock walls and got bit quite regular. Picked up a total o 16 only about 3 dinks, and I caught them. At least I beat the blonde in the back or quantity but not quality. The slow dragging carolina rig proved to be the ticket or the larger ish. Gene, try the worms I gave you the other day, they really worked or Susan. The weather was great all day, with only a slight wind out o the SW. Out at 4:00PM. There is still a ew houseboaters out but nothing like beore Labor day. Thank God or school. The ishing should start improving with the boat traic down and the cooler weather.
City: CottonwoodTips: 3/8oz.ootball head jig with green w/gold lakes worked great in about 15 to 25 eet. A 8" ribbon tail worm in wine colors rigged carolina style really worked or the wie.

Report: went to Packers at 0525 and there was not a single vehicle o any sort in the lot or on the ramp, Hallejuah or Labor Day! They are gone at last. 56 degrees and a bit nippy, lake at 70.75 and alling only 3-4 inches a day now, started throwing right rom the ramp and got 2 dinks o the irst point, moved out to the island and caught a 5 inch largemouth, moved over to the north side o Packers as 2 more rigs showed up and no more ish, at 615 I took o or the lower McCloud and rolled up on one o my avorites and got 6 o the one lat red mud point and one a 1.8, no dinks on a brown jig. They came out o 6.5-14t, picked up and ran past Ycotti and missed one then ram up to above the Moore Creek Campground or 2 more and both small, the bite came to a halt at 0900 but certainly better than my last trip out, ish are generally shallower now and the upper end o the McCloud is much dirtier than the lower end, i never ran over another wake this morning, Hot Damn things are back to normal. got out at 925, temp up to 73 and things are going to be a bit cooler or awhile, ought to perk the bite up. did get one dink on Mr. Fuller's avorite top water bait, tossed a spinner bait too with no results.

Report: Out on the Sac arm rom 0600 to about 0930. Going out, there were not as many houseboats as I eared, but that was remedied by the time I came in. Picked up a limit (1+ lbs) on spinnerbait ished like a jig near shore on points and slopes with 3-6 inch gravel. Fish were clearly working crawdads, given what they were spitting up at the boat. Water is cooling o and the bass appear to be moving back to the shore or orage. Got both smallies and spots. Here is looking or a great all.

Report: got to Jones Valley and wondering where the people are, only 7 rigs on the ramp, got in at 545am, air temp 63 lake at 69,28t and aling slowly now as they reduced the lows by a little better than 50%. Ran up the pit past susanville and ound a scad zillion shad getting busted on the surace. Tied on a cut down hopkins spoon and got 3 on 5 casts, all 2 lbers but they were unny looking. They were all rainbow trout in the main channel in 52t o water. The shad took o and I ollowed but couldn't catch up. started the big motor and down they went. Stayed inside susanville and I didn't get bit anymore. Went downstream back to Arbuckle creek and missed on in about 49 t o water. Fiddled around in the lower pit or a ew hours but nothing. Ran back to Jones Valley and saw most o their houseboat leet coming in and people going home. Got back to the ramp and no newer rigs on the ramp, same ones that were there when I arrived. I was expecting a ton o people so I guess they are still on the way up. Won't go back out or 4 or 5 days. water still a bit murky air temp getting out at 0930 was 73 degrees, very pleasant morning with a slight breeze out o the north east.

Moved up to the upper Squaw and worked some o the rock walls and ended up with 9 and the blonde caught 7, largest went about 1.7, at least I beat her or a change. Fished till about 7:30PM and then went to the lower Pit to ind Gene and Ginger who were going to show us one o their catish spots. Ginger showed us alright, a nice 9lber. We had a ball telling stories and watching the boats run up the lake ull speed at night, there is a bunch o crazy people out there. We inally pooped out and went back to the ramp at about 1:30AM. Starting talking at him and his wie awakened and kicked him as I said"I ain';t never seen a isherman in bed at 4AM unless he was sick". That got him stirred up and moving. We went back to clickapudi but couldn't get any to go, moved over to a hump in the lower pit and chad puts 2 in the boat and I get 1, all were small but legal. The sun got up a bit and we ran to the upper pit just south o Stein Creek and I stuck a couple more that were good sized, moved a little north and got into some more in the stumps, chad got a couple o decent spots and a nice smallmouth. I managed a ew mysel and a good smallie at 1.8 Things slowed around 915 so back down the pit we went to the houseboat, I had 16 total and chad must have had a dozen all on ootball heads and all o mine on the shasta crawler save or one on a yamamoto twin tail skirted grub. dropped him o and got back to the ramp at 945 and had to wait or a ella trying to get his tri-hull out o the water. airtemp at 79. very pleasant early morning and no other boats near us till 9am.

Report: went in at 0515 at Packers just behind my team partner Bryce and his wie Susan, got my wie along with me and launched in the dark, made irst cast on the irst point out and caught a small spot on a jig, lake down past 60 t and still dropping like a rock, moved out to the island just coming up and miss a couple and the wie sticks a 12 incher while Bryce is across the way putting one in the boat on a top water bait, it got light enough to run so the wie and I ran up the Sac to Marshmallow point and picked up a bit o wind when we turned the corner at Sacramento Point, she boats another and we move down the point where we pick up some yellow jackets tht start buzzing around. The wie hates these bugs so I ire it up and run south to potty point at 70 and stop to toss a rip bait and 2 yellow jackets show up immediately, move down the bank a bit and here come some more, the wie is really getting nervous as I swat one and that seems to attract some more. O we go or the ramp and got out at 745 am, irst time a bug has run me o the lake, even ound a bunch buzzing around the parking lot at Packers, water a little clearer this am, in at 73 degrees and out at 79 degrees on the way to 106 ater 112 yesterday, most report very slow ishing including the trout and salmon trollers.
City: ReddingTips: 1/2 oz jigs was all we threw today in pumpkin pepper and watermelon green.
