Report: Back out or the aternoon, in at Bailey Cove, 63 degrees and no wind, lake lat at just under 18t below ull pool, ran upstream in the McCloud again with my uncle, oldest boy visiting grandparents, threw at a gentle sloping red mud bank in 8-12 eet or 5 to 1.8 on jigs and the MGM157 and Barry Ng's rainbow 99. The largest came on the 157(jerry's worm) continued north near Ellery creek or or 15 more with my uncle catching 7 and I caught 13. Most were clones at 1.5 but I had a 4 plus chase an already hooked dink on a jig. I wonder i he intended to eat the little guy? The bite was aggressive again and continued in the warmer water. a hal dozen hit the bait on the drop with great vigor, the little emales are at with eggs, two were stued with crawdads. in the water at 215 pm and out at 545pm at 60 degrees, saw 5 other boats all day, still some big stu loating around but vetry visible on the lat water.

Report: Pre ished Thurs. and Fri. or the Shasta Cascade Tournament Sat. Tried the Squaw and Pit and ound the Mccloud to produce larger ish. Blast o 06:15 and had a wet ride up the Mccloud past Dekkas Rock. My partner, Roland Erickson rom Gridley did a great job in the back seat. Thanks Gene or hooking us up. He does a great job with a darter head. I ished 3/8 ootball head jigs with a pumpkin pepper twin tail skirted grub. Didn't have any problem getting bit. The quality o ish was the problem. Must have caught over 50 ish through out the day. I also picked up ish on MGM #157 (Jerry's worm). The jig bite was more productive or me. Roland threw a 1/8 darter head with a brown and orange 4" worm he makes at home. Big ish or us was 2.05 and total weight 10.89. We caught better ish Thurs. Finished 25 out o 67, not bad or a couple o beginners. Thanks again Roland, it was an enjoyable three days, even in the rain. We will have to do it again sometime.
City: CottonwoodTips: It seems like any point was holding ish. Most ish came in 20 to 35 eet o water. Still a sot bite, elt like a little added weight on the jig, set the hook and start culling.

Report: Wow!!! What a weekend!!! Put a lot o hours on the outboard. Got blown around on Sat. Caught a lot o jig ish in 25 to 30 t. o water. In the channels o cuts. Sunday the water warmed up and I was able to ind water as warm as 56 degrees. Most o the best ish were still in 25 to 30 t. o water. Not a whole lot o reaction ish but both days my very best ish came on the manzanita rows just outside Bridge Bay on the south shore. I ran all over the lake and I probably only needed two gallons o gas or the whole weekend being as the best ish were in the manzanita rows .Did not get a single ish on the spinner baits. Did get 4 quality ish on weighted rip baits with matching tails by Mark's Tails. Good ishing. Tom
City: ReddingTips: I would concentrate on the manzanita rows near Bridge Bay as all the tournament ish are released at Bridge Bay Marina and are stacking up in the manzanita and the cuts. These are very good quality ish.

Report: NICE TO SEE THE LAKE NEAR FULL, SHOULD BE GREAT FOR THE PRO-AM SOON. I CAUGHT ALOT OF FISH DURING MY PRE-FISH. I FOUND MANY PATTERNS WHICH ARE SURE TO CHANGE, BY THE TIME I GET BACK UP THERE. ALL MY BEST FISH CAME FROM IN COMING WATER IN THE PIT & SAC. I'M SURE THIS PATTERN WILL CHANGE SINCE THE HOT WEATHER IS FORCASTED FOR THE NEAR FUTURE. THIS IS THE ONLY PATTERN I AM WILLING TO GIVE UP, AT THIS TIME.IF YOU GO A LONG WAYS UP THESE TO ARMS YOU WILL FIND THE TEMP. CHANGES. SLOW ROLL YOUR BLADE WHITE & WHITE AND ALWAYS KEEP BOTTOM CONTACT, YOU WILL BARELY FEEL THE BITE. 3/4 TO 1oz. SEEM TO WORK BEST
City: SACRAMENTOTips: FIND AREAS UP ARMS THAT HAVE EXTREME TEMP. DIFFERENCES.DEEP DIVING CRANKBAITS THAT SUSPEND CHROME/CHARTREUSE IS A GOOD ONE.
