We had a relaxing aternoon anyway.

Report: Cold sums it up. Took the wie out and waited or it to warm some, so got in a Packers at 1000. Ran to Bass Cove and threw the drop shot with the 157. Had the wie throw a texas rigged 109. Probably ished over 1/2 mile o shoreline with only one bite. Ran to Allie Cove and it was an "ice cream headache" run......real cold. Finally ound some ish in about 40' on the side o tapering point. Finished up in Packers waiting or a club tourney to get out o the water and picked up 2 more on the drop shot, again in about 40'. These came o a broken chunk rock bank. Biggest went a little under 2.
    City: Redding

Tips: I started ishing too shallow I think. Never tried 40' in Bass Cove. Looks like today they were deep. Not like last weekend when most came in 20'.

Report: I have not posted a report recently, even though I been doing alot o ishing in my new boat, even in the bad weather we had in November and December. The reason I have not posted is, through my ailation with MGM Lures I get eedback suggesting that I am hurting others and mysel by revealing where I ish and what I throw on any given day.Well the last two days are proo that i you think you can ish Shasta the same as any report, you are dead wrong!Witness yesterday I ished the main part o the lake with great success with 12.5 lbs. by 9:A.M. Today I ished with a buddy o mine throwing the same baits or a total o three ish weighing 5lbs.In the last two years I have ished Shasta over 400 days, in all those days no two were alike. The lake, the weather and the patterns change every day. I guess thats why I enjoy it so much. There is no place in this world I would rather be. I very much enjoy reading the posts o other ishermen and will throw in my two cents once in awhile with my regrets i I oend anyone.

Report: always put the plug BACK IN. in the water at centimundi at 830am with the wie along, she doesn't allow me out alone these days, airtemp at 48, wind out o the north at 8 with a 2 t chop running down the lake, ran over into the dry ork inlet and up to where the water is pouring in in the Little Squaw, get with it and notice the boat is acting unnny, that's when I remembered I had the drain plug out and orgot to put it back in, get a ew pulldowns on my mgm156 but nothing in the boat, run the bilge pump and pump all the water out while she ties on a big daddy specail(rainbow 99) and up comes a dink or her out o 12 t, lots o junk loating around with some good sized pieces o lumber on top and slightly submerged, ish or a little more and head back in, get the boat out and drag it up the ramp with all this water pouring out o it, DUH, talk about eeling stupid. She is riding me hard about the only ish in the boat and calls big daddy at work to let him know she whipped me, and here I was wondering why the trolling motor seems unable to move the boat around as it has in the past, high thin overcast but the sun made it through, now i Shasta Recreation can get on the stick and get these loats back in at Bailey cove and Hirz Bay and Antlers things wil be back to normal, the lake is on the rise with the 7 inches o rain we had during the last week, now up to 50 t down rom the top.
    City: Redding

Tips: water has cooled considerably, a slow presentation is needed to get bit, more rain on the way. the Rainbow 99 was good today or the little time we spent out there.
