First bass came on watermelon/red lake brush hog a 2.0 pounder and then another back to back. the day I had was a good one I managed to catch and release 15 bass with the biggest at a meger 3.0 pound and the smallest 1.0 buck bass. the ish that I was catching related to rubble rocks and at the base o the trees oh caught 1 on a brown/red 1/4oz. spider jig with a zoom rootbeer/green lake twin tail. Most o the bass caught were in 3 to 12 eet deep.

Report: Survived the heat and ished Yorty and Cherry Creeks all day. There were a lot o boats out there and didn't see too many ish. Water temp and clarity varied around the lake, warming throughout the day. Only managed to pull in 4 small bass to 1.5# using plastics. Marked ish all over rom 0-30 eet. We had many lite bites but the ish just were not taking the bait. Last 2 came in shaded areas o the shore ater 3:00pm. Fish hit several time beore setting the hook. Set the hook too soon and you'll miss it.
    City: Rohnert Park

Tips: Productive plastics were baby brush hogs (watermelon red), crawdad (brown/yellow claws) and a 5" worm (red/yellow tip)

    Water Temp: 50.9-54.2

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: We ished Lake Sonoma Friday rom 6:30 A.M to 5:00 P.M. and the wind blew rom 6 to 20 miles per hour all day long. Most o the ish were caught on points beore ull sun or rom shadow pockets on or near the points ater 3:00 P.M.. From our experience yesterday, the ish have not moved up into the backs o the coves nor do they appear to be in intensive preparation or spawning..We caught 22 ish ranging rom about 10 inches to an estimated 3.25 lbs.. None o the ish appeared to be laden with eggs nor were their abdomens distended rom extensive oraging. The largest ish (a large mouth) was caught on a spinner bait and the smallest ish (a small mouth) was caught on a rip bait. There was no apparent pattern or most eective color with the ish coming rom 2 to 20 eet o depth. Most ish were lighter colored I assume rom lack o sun penetration due to the muddy water.I rather doubt this report will be o much help but it is actual and objective.Other people that were ishing claimed Carolina rigged lizards (green pumpkin seed & chartreuse) dragged across points were the most productive but we did not Carolina rig or split shot or the ish.Tight lines and above all be sae and have un

Report: A report page may not be the best place or this but I just want to remind everyone that the trout (steelhead) ishery at Lake Sonoma is sel sustaining. These ish are wild and cannot handle the pressure that other put and take trout isheries can. Please think about this beore you keep these ish. I eel that this ishery should have special regulations. I avor not a catch and release ishery but a two ish limit or ish above a certain length sure makes sense to me.
