The second day we got on the lake beore daylight. Fished top water but did not even get a bite. Once the sun came out we ished plastic worms in about thirty eet o water. Caught six ish, all small. We missed about ten others. The ish were so small, they were biting the tails o the plastic worms and not getting hooked. Probably going to try again this week.

Bass were holding near drop os in deep water around standing timber. All three ish took 4" and 6" dark color worms T rigged with a 1/4 oz sinker.
City: San RamonTips: Purple or other dark color worms. Let it sink and slowly crawl on the bottom. Hits are distinct taps! I you hit a tree limb, just pull it over and let it all straight down the other side.

Water Temp: around 70
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Tough bite today! There's too many o those darn jet ski's and water ski's buzzing around. Mostly in the main body. The only ish I caught was back up in the arms where the ish can't get spooked too much. Another big problem is people keeping bass. This lake get's a lot o ishing presure. The reason why you rarely here o people catching lunkers out o this lake is because the bass don't get a chance to get very big. The only ew bass that I did catch today were 10"-14". All on deeper diving cranks.
City: Rohnert ParkTips: I people released bass more in this lake, and gave them a chance to get big, this could turn into a good lunker bass lake. Because there are a lot o ish in this lake, but they just need a chance to grow!!!

Report: Good
City: Santa RosaTips: Using worm hooks in the tails o bait ish rom the Dry Creek deli produces subtle strikes. But the ight is on or a ive minute ride with ultra light tackle. Large night crawlers work well too but only in the early morning and late evening. Skunk Creek is hot and so is the upper west end.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well the ishing wasn't nearly as good as it was 2 weeks ago. The weather was very hot, which may have had something to do with it. Alot o the places we ound ish at last time were not nearly as lively. From 2pm-8pm I caught 8 ish or a whopping grand total o probably 6 or 7lbs.....on a mix o blades, zippers, and lukes. I also lost a couple others, including the "lunker" o the day, which was about 2lbs! A disappointing day, but it sure as hell beats sitting around the house on a nice day!
City: San MateoTips: Bring your patience and alot o cold drinks!!

Water Temp: 62-64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Had a tournament and was expecting a solid bite rom past reports but we experienced the opposite. The bite was tough at best. Caught tons o runts but had a tough time inding quality ish. I guess with a barametric pressure drop that could explain the great bite earlier this week. We had rain most o the day and a little wind. Even though I won the tournament getting lucky inding a spawning par o ish the others in the livewell were little guys so nothing to write home about. The bite could only get better at this point. Sonoma is a beautiul lake to take the amily and visually the structure is incredible. I the past reports are honest then I would recommend a visit. PS I had only ished this lake once beore and caught an 8+ and a 6+ plus a ew other nice ish so I know there are some good ones in there.
City: mtn. viewTips: I caught a lot o ish on Yamamoto Senkos in a light color dead sticking and got the two bed ish on jigs plus a ew other strikes as well on the jig. Good luck out there. cv

Report: Me and a riend ound a solid bite on Sonoma. Got alot o small to medium ish on blades, some larger ones on lukes, 1 on a buzz, and a couple lipping. Largest was around 4lbs on a lipped zipper worm. We had a good number o ish in the 2-3lb class in the evening. Had ALOT o big 4-6lb ish chasing our lukes in a "secret" area in the evening, but none would take. Also had a 10+lber chase my bud's buzz all the way to the boat....he was shaking ater that! All together we hooked around 35, landed only 25 o them, and missed a bunch. Sonoma never lets me down in the spring!!
City: San MateoTips: Throw blades the whole day or numbers o ish. Throw lukes or any sot jerkbait early/late or both size and numbers. During the day, try shaking worms on deep brushpiles--the ew times I did it I got bit, but I opted to toss blades instead.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Kevin & I started ishing at 5:00 a.m. the north main arm just pass the no ski markers. Tried a topwater plug with no luck. Kevin hooked his third ish on a black lizard! I changed over to a black worm and started to play catch up. Landed a nice 3lb 7oz bass! The ishing was hot until about 7am or 730am when the bite just shut down. We moved to the Yorty Creek area and got just a couple bites. moved to main arm and caugt one shaker! Finished at 10:30 a.m. Kevin had a nice ish on, but due to an overtight drag, the ish won the battle and took his purple worm! Sounds amiliar to our last trip when I did the same thing!
City: WindsorTips: Start just beore sunrise on the north bank. Dark colored lizards and worms did the trick or us.
