Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: What a nice St. Patty's day on the lake! Worked assorted crank bait and jigs rom day break until noon to no avail. We switched up to a trout troll and scored 2 nice 2-3 lb Steelhead right in ront o the dam. They both came on the same rod within about 5 minutes o each other. Using a small seps blade with a small repela minnow pattern ollowing. Those steelies are scrappy and we let them back to grow up a bit. Worked a little more or bass late aternoon and they were still stingy. Everyone we talked with was having a SLOW day too. Tough day overall, but love this lake (it was my irst time).
City: San FranciscoTips: Wait or warmer weather....I guess.

Water Temp: cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Had a good day inally at Sonoma. Fished the Warm Springs side today. Dropshotted all day (10amto5pm). Caught about 25 ish and broke o about 7or8. Got some ish o points with submerged trees. Can't see them trees but can eel the ish coming out o them. Then I got into a little hot spot area with trees in between points. Caught most o my ish in this area working anywhere rom 20to50t down in the tree branches. Most ish hit on deadsticking dropshot. Sot bite(rod loading up). I used the Berkeley 4 inch power worm in the camo color all day. They liked it. The hook was about 6 to 8 inches above weight and no more. Used one hook setup with 8lb green p-line and a 1/4oz weight. You have to be straight up and down with your dropshot. No dragging. They are staying pretty tight to the trees. Be patient and keep moving rom tree to tree. Once hooked, get him up quick or its going to be ugly. You are gonna have some snags and break os. Its part o the deal right now. Just retie and back at em. The bad part is no ish over 2lbs, but lots o action. Hey Sheehy, I think the spawn is over now.(har har) Sorry Scott, but I can't seem to put the drop shot away like you said. But some day I will. For now you'll just have to call me DROPSHOT MCGEE. Hey Adam, i you need any pointers just give me a hollar. I know how much you love to ish Sonoma.

Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I went out trolling on Wednesday. I launched out o Yorty Creek. The recent rains did not change the color o the lake. It is still green and good visibility. I was trolling or trout using lead core and a downrigger line. The water depth is low. The downrigger hit structure at just 8 eet. I lost one bass while throwing a watermellon red sinko next to some submerged trees. The ish hit just as the sinko was about to hit bottom. Tough day.
City: CloverdaleTips: Worms, grubs, sinkos thrown next to structure or protected points. Fish were at 20 eet down!

Report: Largemouth bass are spawning o and onn. Stange year. Water is very warm compared to last year same date. Good news is that bass are easy to catch - too easy. We need some good heavy rains and very soon. Our bass today average just ove 4 pounds 9we had our this size. The larger Killer worms worked OK - 14 to 23 inchers. No smallmouth on this trip - probably down below the 20 oot region we were ishing. Fished slow - took about our hours to cover 100 yards o shore line.
City: HealdsburgTips: Fish slow - mask scent o your boat. Use very sot baits.

Water Temp: COLD
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The ishing was pretty tough today. I started out ishing a deep drop-o and caught a 12 incher right away on a blue and black jig in about 25 eet o water. Then nothing or a ew hours. I started ishing a little ways passed the marina and caught one ish on a Carolina rigged senko, and that was all the action or the day. And rom what I hear the landlocked Steelhead bite at this lake has been terrible. I was talking to a guy that said last year he could catch 3 or 4 steelhead easy and now he's lucky to get a bite.
City: Santa RosaTips: The ish are pretty deep(25-40 t.) So use something that'll get your bait down there. And i you want to see this cool new site I ound go to: http://www.norcalbass.com/ it is similar to this one accept it's new and it has some neat eatures like product reviews, articles, and surveys. It also has a Free lure contest, you can ind out how to enter it at the site.
