      Water Temp: 75+

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took my lady, a good riend and his wie out or a day o R@R and some ishing. Spent the morning tossing topwater and blades. Desided that the reaction bite was good as we caught ish up until 10:30 on everything that was moving, buzz, blades and cranks. The blade and jig bite remained good all day. We ished shallow. Summer bite on the delta. Have un and "Catch and release", even i its over ten...
      City: Mountain View

Tips: Custom blades and buzzbaits did the major damage or us, with the wind helping that bite. Senkos worked as always and the jig got the best bite o the day.

      Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Once again, this report is based on anyone walking the shoreline. Wow! Is it HOT out there!!! Whew! At 1:00pm it was a 100 degrees at the dam! There are just tons o small bass along the shoreline now in the 6 to 10 inch size. Mysel and 1 other guy scored more than needed small guys. The air pressure was dropping all morning long and the ishing was not too great! At about 11:30 the pressure leveled o and we managed to get 1 good 3 lbs bass a piece beore the heat got to us and we headed back to some A. C. and cold drinks!
      City: los angeles

Tips: With the ultra clear water, I always use the 4 lbs test! Split shotting 4 inch plastics is what worked today, but it was sloooooow going! Had we stayed longer we would have picked o a ew more good ish I think. The ish were at just the edge o weed beds, which you can see as a color change in the water. Be prepared to pick green gunk rom you set-up about every other cast! I would suggest or the best bites o the day, go out VERY early BEFORE sun up until about 9:30 am and then the last ew hours o the day thru sun down. Whew! Hot! Hot! Hot! Good luck!!

      Water Temp: 73

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I had another good late aternoon-night trip with 2 clients on Fri. We launched at the dam and ished the north ork the whole trip - a little past Bloomers was a ar as we got. They started split-shotting Magic worms and I threw a brown/orange Rodstrainer jig just or un, pretending it was winter! What a surprise when the jig got heavy in about 25 eet o water and I set the hook on an 18 1/2 inch spot - nearly 3 lbs!! This was about 7 pm. Ten minutes later I catch a 16 1/2 inch spot, over 2 pounds. Wow, do jigs work in the summer too - I guess!!! I thought about putting my clients on jigs, but they started catching bass on their worms. Ater dark, we went to 7 inch Power worms and Big Dipper Magic worms, and caught lots or spots in the slot, with one client landing his own 16 1/4 incher. The ish really turned on about 11 pm, and really shut o about 1 pm. I don't know why. The moon had some thin clouds cover it about 11 which always helps night ishing. We caught 15 bass total, but most were over 14 inches. We had a lot o short strikes or some reason.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The black 7 inch Power Worm is always a winner at Oroville during the night. We ound our bigger bass on walls, rather than points. Fish were 15 to 30 eet during daylight, and 5 to 15 eet at night. Use Smelly Jelly!

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well, once again I hit good old San Pablo. The trout bite stinks right now. No matter I went to catch bass. I usually use a 4" worm split shotted. I didn't get a bite on it all day. I switched to the trusty spinner bait and ended up landing 4 bass. One was around 3lbs and the others were small. They keep dropping the water level and I think it is really screwing up the ishing. I ished all day and talked to a ew isherman only 2 trout were caught by all the people I talked to. I will be heading back soon.
      City: Alameda

      Tips: CATCH AND RELEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Report: Fished up in Dry Creek or the irst time this year with my nephew or his ninth B-day. Drop-shotted 6-inch senko in my little honey hole about 30-35 eet down, my nephew and I had hook ups beore the wieght even hit bottom. Landed 7 ish in about 4 hours. A big log (which I knew was there) probably took away 10 ish but it was still un. Caught all ish in the middle o a hot aternoon. Kinda' strange. Fish are real deep.
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: I heading to the lake on 4th o July be careul o the once a year boaters and stay away rom the ski boat circus at the ramp in the middle o the aternoon!!!!!

Report: Had about a 2lb largemouth on using a black/blue lake 6" senko worm. Was ishing the cove just to the south o the main parking area, up against the steeper bank that slopes down rom the road. I was casting rom the steep bank toward the shallow weed bed that was in about 4 t o water and would bring it across to the steep bank. Only one ish, it was a sot hit didnt even eel it til I noticed a lot o slack in the line.Erik

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: My buddy and I went out o Del's. We launched at 5 a.m. We ished around the old river and through adjoining sloughs. We caught ish through the entire day. More ish caught in the morning than in the aternoon. No wind and a manageable current made it much better than our recent trips in the wind. All ish caught on Senkos (No suprise here). The color didn't ssem to matter, we used at least six dierent colors or a total o 16 ish. Best ive would have gone 12 lbs. or so. Best ish was a 3-1/2 at the edge o a dock. Variable vites rom pressure to slam hits.

      Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: As they say: "What a dierence a day makes!" I took two ellows out or a late aternoon-night trip on Wed. The clouds rom the outgoing weather ront were still around, and the bass were biting airly well. I wasn't sure what to expect rom this strange June storm. We had about 18 hookups and landed 10 - the 5 best at about 23 1/4 lbs. The client who caught a 6-7 - his best Clear Lake bass ever - lost another big ish. He was using a junebug Zoom Dead Ringer worm, a very good night worm. I caught a 5 1/2 on a 10" Power Worm. All the rest o the ish were rom 2 1/4 to 4 lbs. We caught three beore dark, one on a jig on an oshore rockpile. The other client got a nice 3 3/4 pounder using a Senko on another oshore rockpile. It seems that bass in the south end are moving o the bank in many areas. I love it - structure time!! We tried topwater with no luck. Thursday, I ished with two other clients during the same hours, but the bass' attitude was anything but the same! The ront had totally passed through, and the bass totally shut o. It was really kind o amazing. A boat was loading up on catish to 15 1/2 lbs on Wed. - Thurs they didn't have a single ish! Carp were rolling all over on Wed and we probably heard no more than 5 on Thurs. We only caught 2 bass and maybe missed 5 or 6. The wind was back! Wed was dead calm. About 8:30 pm, I gave one o them a new worm to try - a hogsbreath amber green craw in 8" size, and he caught a 3 pounder on the irst cast. That was the highlight o the trip!! I got a 3 1/2 on a Power Worm, and that was it! Dead as dead can be. It always bothers me when clients ish well, but have nothing much to show or it. Sometimes the bass win!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Night ishing so ar has been spotty - nothing great yet. The worm bite is best it seems. Have only caught one on a spinnerbait, and very ew on jigs. Rock walls and dropos have been good areas to ish.

      Water Temp: warm

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got out there just beore the sun went down, tied up to the tower. Started catching bass in the 2lbs + range on jumbo minnows. Some stupid punk ass bitch who wanted my spot to ish or trout began circling us and the bite turned o. I drive over 100 miles to ish my avorite lake. I that happens again I will starting shooting assholes with my wrist rocket. I hate arogant okies. I stayed tied to the tower or about 3 more hours just to piss him o. Began working brush hogs and spooks in the back west side. Lake is hella low and droping ast. I havent seen the lake this low since '93.
      City: Salinas

Tips: When you drive as ar as I do, only live minnows can ensure bites. I dont have to tell anyone that plasics work year round on this lake. Junebug/chartruse is my avorite.

      Water Temp: 74 degrees

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took my father-inlaw out for his first ever bass fishing trip on Friday. Had a great time on a great lake. Launched out of Capell at 5:15 am. We tried topwater and rip baits first thing in the launch cove, but couldn't buy a bite. We quickly headed out and went 1st to skiers cove. We immediately started catching fish on main points and islands with drop shot rigs in 15ft or less. Saw some fish hitting the surface, so we switched to the splash-its and WHAM! got one! What a hooot to have those fish come to the top. Dad enjoyed that. As the bite slowed, we headed to the narrows and still continued pulling them in on main points; especially those with shadows early in the morning. Fish started moving deeper as the sun came up and warmed. We fished in 20-40ft in the narrows. Fish bite seemed to end by 1pm, so we headed home. All in all, a great day 20+ fish with top 5 going just over 10lbs.
      City: Redwood City

Tips: hit the points with rocks and dark shade. shake the morning dawn or baby bass worms on drop shot. also got plenty of bites on darter heads with rootbeer/blk & red flake twin tail grubs.
