Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out Friday night but only managed 3 ish in the boat. My buddy Kyle landed one or about 6 lbs. on a crank bait in Cherry Creek. For the guy, Je, who is a jealous isherman and dares call us anglers liars should get his ino. straight so he doesn't look or sound like a ool. For your ino there was a night tournamemet a couple o weeks ago or the Redwood Bass Club and the big ish WEIGHED in at just over 9lbs. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!
City: Santa RosaTips: Don't let people's nonsense (Je) keep you rom posting bis ish out o Sonoma becuase there are some toads in there

Water Temp: Warm
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I decided to leave my boat at home, so that I could get on the water at a reasonable hour. I wasn't about to wait for the rangers to decide to open the gates! I was on the water in my float tube at about 5am. Missed one fish to a short strike at about 5:30 on a buzzbait. After that I didn't see a fish in till 9am.Then I got 2 in a row on a spinnerbait about 2 1/2lbs each. Started throwing a frog, missed one and caught one about 3 1/2lbs. Started throwing a Senko on the weed edge's, saw my line move a little and set the hook my drag started skreething. She weighed 7 1/4 lbs , snapped a couple of pictures and released her back to her home. I caught another fish around 3lbs and left due to the heat.

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Two of us fished from 4-8 and were able to get 7 fish. They ranged in size from dinks to about 3.5 lbs. We caught 5 of them on Magic Worms and the other two were right before we left on buzzbaits. I would have traded in the other 5 to catch one more on topwater. What is up with the ranger kicking everybody off the lake before the sun even sets? Not good for us bass fisherman!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started ishing about 7:30 and within 30 minutes 4 ish in the boat. Pete caught the irst one about a pound on a popper. Then I caught a 3lber and the next cast I caught a 7 1/2 lber both on poppers. The 7 1/2 is my biggest largemouth to date. Then I started throwing crainkbaits and caught a 2lber, a ew minutes latter landed a 4lber and Pete hooked a 4lber as soon as I threw mine back. Fishing then started to slow down, Pete landed another 3lber and I landed a dink both on crainkbaits. That was my last ish or the rest o the day. Pete landed 3 more 2 o them close to 3lbs and the other I can't remeber. Later day ish came on senkos o the deeps edges o the weeds. Couldn't get bit on the south end everything was main lake weed beds and rock. Missed some ish on carolina rigs but couldn't get bit with spinnerbaits or lippin'. Hardly any one on the water it was a great day: Evan; 5 Pete; 6

Report: 7:30 PM started in the 5 mph area working between the islands & the no boats bouy line. Split shot smoke colored w/purple bloodline 4" curly tail zipper worm. Hooked a 5+ that wrapped around the tree it was hooked next to & broke o. Tried to work our way along this bouy line to the backside o the 5 mph area but the water has dropped to where the boat area is to shallow to get by. Worked our way back out & hooked what elt like the same 5+ near the same tree but this time she straightened out the hook. Worked around the other way & missed a couple more bites on the smoke zipper beore switching to a green weenie 4" straight tail. Boated 5 rom 12" to 17" in the next hour. Bite really slowed when it got dark so moved back to the southside ramp. Worked a black ruby brush hog to boat three more 15" then loaded up at midnight.
City: DelhiTips: Shad or craw pattern worms along with brush hog ater dark. Pig n jig would probably be a good choice too.

Report: Fishes rom a loat tube along the rock banke close to the Folsom Point launch ramp. Arived around 8:00 am stayed till noon. Caught iteen ish drop shotting keeper worms. All the ish were legal but just barely, only one largemouth the rest were spots. Lots o short strikes.
City: SacramentoTips: The color worm I was useing was clear with a light purple blood-line. To cut down on short strikes i went to 2 inch reepers but that might explain why all the ish I caught were just legal.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: in at 515 am, temp 68, water at 72, lake doen to 40t and dropping like a rock, wind out o the north at 5-15 knots until I hit the water which must have been the signal to whip it up a bunch, 15-25 knots with gusts to 40 by 630 am, threw the book at them or ZIP, nothing but a pulldown on a 127 MGM near the rockpile, started running up the pit to get out o the wind with no luck, ran back into 4 coves and ished out o them, came across 4 other boats all reported no ish, wind kept building and started back at 830 am and hit some points throwing heavy jigs (up to an ounce) had to duck a 5/8oz rig that I sky shot and it came back over my head, enough was enough, ran down by brushy canyon, and jumped in the lake to cool o, 83 degrees by 830 am, 2-3 oot whitecaps blowing down Jones Valley and worse in open lake areas especially near arbuckle, irst time I have ever been blanked in June, cd ran to their irst ire yesterday near the Mtn. Gate exit, 100 homes in the way but they jumped on it quick with 6 aircrat and got it out with no property damage, the place is bone dry, going to wait or the wind to slow down, temp is supposed to hit 106 today but cool by the weekend back to low 90's, we are going to be in deep doodoo this all, hope there is some water let.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went tubing Wednesday night in Yorty with 2 other guys. We combined to catch 10 ish. Biggest was about 3 lbs. A couple on blades, the rest on Senkos. Ater-dark bite was slow. Wish they'd leave that gate open all night. Had to park outside the gate & pack our gear out ater ishing.

Water Temp: 72-75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: went out yesterday.caught a bunch o ish outside weedlines on lukes in baby bass and dyed red with a bb shot on the tip and a plastic circle in ront o that.15 or so in the main river just outside turner cut.20 or so in empire cut near the openings to mildred.not many dinks.but nothing over 31/2.i want to apologize or bringing my opinions on sight ishing to the reports area.at least i made a ew o you think.i read that article on the 20 12 caught in lake dixon.the guy hooked and lost the ish and came back later and caught it the same day.im sorry but that rubs me the wrong way.i will keep my opinions to mysel in the uture in the report orum.
City: union cityTips: put a small circle o plastic in ront o a luke and it will add alot o darting action and give the ish a dierent look.just cut it out o a paddle tail or speed worm tail.put a hole in the center and slide it up the line, tie the luke on,and slide it back to the tip.i use it weightless near low tide and with a bb shot when theres more water.will probably work great with a senko too.... I would impose a no tournament rule 3-15 thru 4-30. This period would give the bass a air chance to have a healthy spawn and give them a chance to protect their beds rom predators

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Red Bud and started on the trolling motor. Caught one senko ish(2.5lbs) and lost another. Decided to go to the dam since I had never been there and probably won't go back. 2+ hours later I made it(stopped to ish a couple times along the way, no bites). Man is it a long way in a no wake zone. Probably 45min w/o stopping maybe more. Started throwing a rog upon arrival. Stuck a 4lber about the tenth cast then zero or 1/2hr. Picked up the lippin stick and lipped/pitched, cranked, rogged, and threw senko or the next 2hrs coming out. Not a bite. I had heard it could be pretty good at the dam but I guess it's timing or I suck. More likely I suck. Came out and caught several 2lbers on senkos on docks around Red Bud then called it a day. Did not see any rog mats to speak o but I haven't ished Clear lake much in June, July, or August.
City: PetalumaTips: I can only catch ish on senkos and have the post spawn blues.

Los Banos Lake

Water Temp: 79
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Slow day missed some strikes on the back o the lake mid day. Evevning top water action was ok. Landed and released three 12-15 inchers. Hey Rob instead o complaining about your bank ishing buddies in your report you should have let the ranger know what was going on. Reporting poachers is the only way we have to ight back against these people. Getting ined or poaching has stopped several people rom a lie time o poaching. It is very diicult however to catch these people in action. Next time call the Ranger we will all be very grateul.

Oroville Lake

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Lake Oroville or the irst time this past Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and believe Oroville is a well kept secret. Very ew people out on the lake. Had good luck in Middle ork or Spotted along rock piles and walls in 2-20'o water. Fished Texas rigged 4-6" worms. Hit the wall and dragged the worm back to the boat slowly. Most hits on decent Spotted were at 12-15 t. Had several strikes the moment the bait hit water, but mostly smaller ish. Used dark (brown/chartreuse tail) in AM, moved to pink, clear, and white during midday, and used Junebug lizards and worms in the evening. All were slot ish with 3 exceptions: 5 1/2# Largemouth (big, good color, real healthy, and still in there or next time) (Middle Fork/Brown worm/2 t depth/rock pile with brush/early AM), 3# Spot (middle ork/brown worm/rock pile/15 t depth/mid morning), 3 1/2# Largemouth (Junebug lizard/back o the cove in creek bed o the main channel-between mile 3-4 on east side/1 oot depth in stained water/early evening). Tried topwater with only one ish. Threw spinner bait without success. Stayed on loating campsites and had a great time. Will be returning to Oroville.
City: RenoTips: Find the rock piles and ish those-always ish in there!!

City: benicia -
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Wallratt, I totally agree with you. Bass killer- I'd like to think that you aren't serious, but i you are, YOU ARE INCREDIBLY SELFISH AND YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS SPORT. Personally I'm pro conservation and preservation, as I know many o us bass anglers are. Even i NO ONE gets to ish the lake, there's no reason why it can't go on existing. Guess what, humans aren't the only ones who use the lake. You want to ruin what you can't have so no one, or nothing else can have it. Here's a question, when you ound out about the ban pending on all gas engines, did you go home and have a temper tantrum, kicking and screaming on the loor? And you call yoursel a bass angler. It's ignorent people like you who not only give this wonderul sport a bad name, but also make it harder or those o use who genuinly love this great sport, and who have great respect or the wonderul natural settings we devote our weekends to. For the record, I think that the ban will beneit that lake, and I'm very tired o hearing rom people who blame it or all o there hardships. News lash, we live in Northern Caliornia, a place illed with other trophy bass opportunities. You won't die i you can't ish San Pablo! Get over it! And i it means that much to you, buy a little "pond prowler" or what ever those things are called, or get a jon boat or something. That will only set you back around $1500 or so. That way you won't have to come complain to this board ater you have spent thousands getting a our stroke or what ever. PEOPLE NEED TO REALIZE THAT A GAS BAN AT SAN PABLO IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD! Besides, isn't San Pablo in a bass-less rut right now as it is? I'm sorry to all o you who don't need to hear this, and I'd also like to point out that not all o this is directed at Bass killer. I totally agree that this is a board to be used or inormation exchange, and not slinging mud, but I elt something had to be said. Good ishing to all o you true bass anglers!
