      Water Temp: 60-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Found fish to be pretty active even though the cold front was coming through. The wind and rain kept us off the main lake so we fished the coves inside Spanish Flats and Steel Park. Most fish we caught came on reaction baits...biggest 3lb large mouth. Some came on pruple weenies in 5-10ft. We fished from 3pm to 6:30, caught two limits in that time. Could not see if any bed fish were around. Did see some areas with schools of fry indicating post spawn areas.
      City: Suisun

Tips: search with a reaction bait and then slow down once you located some fish.

Report: with the cold front moving in rapidly I thought that the fish were going to in lock jaw but that was not the case. Got to the lake at about five and fished with a terminator spinnerbait with the white skirt. landed a small dink in less than a foot of water right by the dam. Tried casting out about 25 to 30 feet out waited till the bait hit the bottom then slow rolled it. Caught 3 fish in the 3 pound range in about ten to fifteen feet of water, all quality fishes. Then decided to work the cove behind the bench, and landed a beautiful 5 pounder in less then 2 feet of water, would've stayed out longer but this bass tore up my spinner, took off the skirt, and the willow leaf blade on the damn thing. All the guys I talked with were fishing plastics to no avail. May be next I'll bring more than one spinner. good luck
      City: san jose

Tips: white spinner bait in the 1/2 onz size, and just make a lot of cast every where your bound to get some strikes.

Report: Well, we were supposed to be going camping at Amador on 4/6-4/8. We took a ride up on the 6th only to ind that it was still pretty wet and windy. I made dierent reservations or the 9-12th. I saw Hemphill ishing the damn. (nice boat)Well, we arrived again on monday and stayed till wednesday night, we saw some dark clouds coming so we let in a hurry:) We caught most o our ish on magic worms at around 5-10 t. At night I used brush hawgs and ended up with a 7 pounder on tuesday night. That was the only one I caught with any nice size to it. Most o the ish were within 2-3 lbs. We were in the very back on Carson arm and we saw some GIANTS cruising the bank. 15 + easy. They almost looked like carp cause they were so damn big. I talked to Lee up in the Lodge and he said that they went out on tuesday night and spotted some lake records. I love that lake, I think I am going to have to head up this week.

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 10:00a to noon. Caught 12, from 1.5 to about 4 lbs. Caught all fish swimming a 4 inch grub on 1/8oz. jig through submerged weeds. Most bites came in less than 4 feet of water adjacent to deeper water. A slow retreive and lure contact with the weeds seemed to trigger most of the strikes.

      Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Some o you think I don't know how to write a short report - I'll try this time! Yes, I did get to guide Tuesday on a windy, dark, cold day. Water temp had dropped about 6 degrees since Friday night. We started about 8 AM rom Rattlesnake Island and ater going north about 1000 yards I made a U turn and went back to M&M. The wind was horriic - we could have made it but black and blue clients are not a good thing! Towed to Konocti Resort, launched, and ished north and south. All we had to deal with is 20 to 30 MPH winds changing directions every ew minutes. We were able to ish airly well and each client did land a bass. One was 4-10 on a brush hog and the other about a pound and a hal, on a Senko. As a team, we would have had a respectable day had I not lost a very large bass that rayed my 16 lb test on a cement block. Had I been at a dierent angle, I might have been able to move her out o that area. I also blew a 5 plus on a jig and Madman Craw combo. Sometimes I am neither lucky or good! It was a plain whimpy hookset. We might have had another bite or two, but that was the trip in a nutshell. We only saw one other bassboat all day, and another party that I know ished that day was skunked. The weather changes and winds this year certainly have been dramatic, to say the least!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I tried a new color Senko #306 (natural shad) because o the clear water, and that was the one that enticed the big bass to bite. She actually hit it pretty good but I couldn't move her - she had a lot o weight. My clients are ishing a tournament so I won't say any more.
