Anyways we were cruisin' down the raod at 60mph about 10min away rom Oakdale when all o a sudden we see cows. There must have been 10-12 cows standin' in the middle o the raod 150t ahead o us. My dad slams the brakes, and then boom, boom, boom we swirved through em but managed to clip about 4 cows(we were still going about 20mph). We came within 1t o hitting these cows broadside. We pull o to the side o the road get out and check the damages: 2 busted headlights, cracked the grille, the right ender o the truck is bent all to H#$$, and the let ender on the boat trailer is also crunched. The cows just ran o mooin'. Cops come 30min later to ile the report. We made it to the tournament and did ok. We caught 3 ish or 4+. The ish were caught on clown pattern rouges and brown tube baits. 12# won the tournament. On the bright side we won 50 dollar options that went to 30th place!! Be careull driving early in the morning ya never know whats going to happen. Luckily neither me or my dad were injured.

Report: Well my irst mistake was telling my ishing other, I hope it rains today. Because everybody knows the ish turn on in the rain. Mother natures sick idea o a joke was to come down on us all day, non-stop without a peek at some clear blue! Oh well, were're die hards so we ished it anyway. There was a tournament going on. We weren't part o that but I'm curious how they did. My partner got three around 9am on texas rigged sot plastic. One o them was kind nice...maybe 2lbs...hard to say, I reused to take a good look. Spent most o the day hoping the wet wouldn't get in through the weep holes in my rain gear. About 1:30pm I inally got two little dinks, that I'm sorry to say, I was pleased to see. My irst large mouth o 2000! I don't get out as much as I use to...I've been busy okay! Ater my third layer o clothing was penetrated with water, we called it a day at 4pm. I'm still telling mysel I had un.

Report: Well hit the water at 7am and got o the water by 9pm. Long day, irst 3hrs i got 4 ish up to 2lbs. Missed a ew hit up until 3pm when I landed a shaker. Talked to Gil a guide at Amador and he was having a rough day also, said his clients got a ew ish and he was skunked. Don't really believe him but ya never know. So I ished into the evening and at 8:30 hit a 5.5lb, then ollowed up with 2 more dinks and let at 9pm. Rough day, tried throwing blades and even a little ripping to no avail. All o the ish I caught threw the day were caught on a 6" green craw. Ater it got dark I caught those 3 ish on a 4" black/reg brush hog. All were used with brass/glass, all ish came rom the 8-10 oot range. Was really but not a drop o rain, Thank God!!!

Report: Fished the Reapers tournament with a buddy and finished 5th with 13.09#, and second big fish of 4.79#. Decided to stay away from sight fishing because of the overcast. Caught most of the "better" fish, including our kicker on a white spinnerbait. Also, caught a few 13" clones split shotting a watermelon/red flake baby brush hog in 10-12' of water. Fished primarily Skier's Cove and Oak Shores.

Report: Launched out of the Hook, fish seemed to be on rock banks in the current. Had luck with a 1/2 oz red crawdad speed trap, banging the rocks. Lots of bucks, no luck with a black/red brush hog. Fish also seemed to like a sp-20. Only got one on a jig. 14 fish in all caught and released, did not have to go far biggest fish was 3lbs. All of the fish put up the fight of a five pounder.
      City: Manteca

Tips: I think I need to slow down my presantation with the jig and worm, the crankbait bite is strong.

Report: Still learning. Fished half day Saturday. Launched out of the Hook, ran to Frank's, pitched brush hog in tules with some current, caught one 2 lber on 5th pitch, missed 2 more - had trouble picking up hits in current. Decided to try and learn more about Mildred, where I had hit fish last week, threw spinnerbait and speed trap. Missed two, put two 0.5 lbers in boat. Decided to try new area around Coney that gave up jig fish on previous trip, caught another small fish on brown jig with watermelon/red flake Yamamoto single tail trailer, missed two more solid hits - this is starting to become a real issue. I'm not paying attention, and invariably I'll be distracted when one hits! Tried blades & jigs around Disco, not a bite. On the run back stopped at Frank's, lost one at boat on speed trap, next cast put a 3 lber in boat. Total of five fish for 10 or so bites. No complaints, will focus a little better and sharpen my hooks! Good luck to all Rob
