Set the hook too soon and you'll miss it.

      Water Temp: 56-58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Did a Guide trip, Clients Justin Lucas and Johnny Lopes, Both in there teens. They caught and release a dozen fish under tuff conditions has it was very windy. Couldn't even cross the main lake under these conditions safely. We fished in Wraggs Canyon most of the day. They caught fish from 15-25ft useing Brown jigs/green trailers, a first for them using jigs. Also did a instructional sonar with them in locating fish on the screen and teachin them topo reading. They'll be tough to beat in the future gentleman look out and watch for there names to appear in the future.
      City: Castro Valley

Tips: Being it was abnormal conditions at the end of this week, I found fish on points and into the coves, but only on the secondary in. Fished mud and rock (Shale) combination banks, found the fish hangin in 15 to 25ft. Caught most of their fish on brown jigs with a chopped brush-hog watermelon in color. Deepiest fish caught came out of 45ft creek channel. With the warmin comin in this week, look for fish to be movin in to the backs, some fish have already, but the major move hasn't accured has of yet. Looking for that to happen very soon.. Good luck!!!!!

      Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I noticed there were no current reports or this underated lake. I ished a couple times here starting this time last spring and recommend it. Bass are scattered but catcheable in the willows on both eeder arms. There's great action however on main lake coves where rees o brush piles have been sunk on the bank. Fish reaction. Even on bare banks drag worms or non-stop action. I had my wie, grampa, and my 3yr old son getting ish to two pounds. Save the best or yoursel near the dam. large submerged boulders produced a 4.5lb smallie on a slit shot. Top water excellent here also.

      Water Temp: lo 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Thought I'd do much better today (Saturday), what with all the warm weather & all (tolerable winds). Only landed 1, around a pound-&-a-half; another shook off before I could get him to the boat. Only a couple of other taps on the line besides. Guys around me reported catching 2-5 fish per, with *lizards* being the most-often stated lure. I caught mine on a moss-colored Baby Brush Hog, T-rigged (the one that came off was on a small 3", split-shotted worm). Jerkbaits, spinnerbaits & Carolina rigs to no avail. Lots of boats & jet skis. Man, those boat wakes from the wakeboarders were just *pounding* the shoreline. Wasn't sure just how to work the shore under those conditions. Sure had to keep an eye on those wakes in my kickboat, though -- I felt like a cork bobbing around in the ocean! Better days ahead??? Are Cherry Cove, Oak Cove working? All I keep hearing about is Bailey Cove, but I just can't get myself to work that end of the lake, given its limited structure. Is that really the hotspot on the lake?
      City: San Jose

Tips: Lizards seem to be working for most.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got up earlier than normal today and was fishing by 5:30a.m. I fished the entire back side by the stables. Had some solid hits but didn't land anything. I wish I had some topwater lures with me though cause at 6:00a.m. the fish started coming to the surface. I did see a few fish caught and one was a 5 pounder that was caught on a red lizard at around 9:30a.m. Man it sure was nice outside this morning though. Time to start wearing shorts.

Report: This is not really a ishing report, more a wake up call. Saturday my partner and I were ishing Dike 2 when we saw a boat do something that did not look quite right. When we sped out to see what had happened. A lady was loating in the water and the other isherman had disappeared. The lady was ine with what appeared to be a broken arm. Unortunatly the man did not recover rom the accident. I will never be on the big motor again without a lie jacket. Accidents happen and always when you do not think they will. I am sorry to report this on this page but I elt that this is an important saty percaution that we all need to remember. Please wear your lie jackets!!!

      Water Temp: 56-63

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at 7:30 in the Keys. First dock ished stuck a nice 6-15lb on a black/blue jig with blue pork. Wind was up big time. Tried lto get on main body and was amazed...no big waves on lake...wind was swirling and gusting but not bad water. Went across Windmill Pt and headed down below Konocti to a little private beach and dock where we caught ish last week. Tried same water, 12 t shakin' worms...nothing. Went around docks on shallow gravel beach and I nailed 11 nice ish, 5-4, 4-4, 4-2, 3-9 plus a ew other 2 to 3lb ish and it was great. 24-2 limit. All ish taken on magic worm #39. Water on the shore was real rough and hard to hold boat. Fish were moving up and down beach in the rough water 59 degree water, 6 t deep and they shut down about 3 pm. My partner had trouble in the wind with the worm bite and didn't land any ish but he had a great time anyway, (or so he says). Be back again on thurs the 7th or another try.

This is gerald your 14 year old riend signing o.
      City: Livermore

Tips: The bass are hitting sot plastics and sot jerkbaits. Work the tules in the south end and you should be able the pick up a ew.

      Water Temp: 56 - 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Water still a little murky with viability only to about 6 t. Water temp starting at 56 in morning and by mid aternoon the back coves are holding at 67. My buddy Jason and I ished rom 0700 till about 1700 and only came up with 2 ish , 1-14" at 1pm and 1 at 4pm that went 12". Saw lots o ish both male and emale up on beds. We ished across rom Acorn campground to the south end o the lake. Still alot o muck loating in the water as I guess the lake has turned over. Rattlesnakes are out as we saw two doing the mating thing. Fish are holding right on the bank and waiting to nail anything coming o the shore.
      City: markleeville

Tips: Fish are holding at about 2 to 20 t sitting on nests. Try getting out o the boat and sighting ish under cover o bushes and logs. Most ish were at 2 t o water and staring right at the bank so presentation needs to be rom shore and slip it into the water. To bad we didnt ind this out till late in the day. Try 4" worm in non bright colors.
