Got two more in Baily cove on carolina rigged power worm ( red / blue flake) Got my last one on a texas rigged baby brush hog in Baily cove. Only 4 total and nothing over 1.7 lbs.

Tips: started getting bites when I slowed down and used 1/4 oz weights, too windy to feel anything lighter.

Report: My friends Ron Clemons,Dennis Corson and I fished out of holland tract on Friday and landed 14 bass from 8" to 6 lb. 5 oz. The big fish was the biggest bass Ron has ever caught. Congrat's again Ron. Caught the big one on a purple cattipilar (sp?) worm and the rest came on white spinnerbaits or red and fire tiger speed traps. Mostly small fish because we had to fish fast due to the wind blowing my aluminum around.

Tips: The big ones are there. Three fish over 5 pounds for my boat in two trips. Fish worms and cranks.

Report: I walked the south shore o the north lake on Wednesday and happened upon a man pulling a very nice 18" to 21" rainbow that was well ed. It seems the recent two weeks o warm weather have helped the bite. He caught it on powerbait, I'm not sure what color. I do have to say it was a beautiul trout. Big solid spaced out spots like a Brown. I plan to go to Berryesa tomorrow and see i the spawn has started. We hit record temps today all around the Bay. Check or my report on Berryesa.

Tips: For those o you using 2 lb test or a leader, you may want to use heavier line or ish in the North Lake.

Report: Ah, yes, springtime! Took a un trip with my dad, and we had a ball! Started at about 6:30am and ished until 1:30pm. Landed 20+ ish which ranged in size rom 1 lb. to a beauty o a 6+ lb. kicker largemouth. Had two other 3+ lb. spots, and a smallie checking in at 2.5 lb. Stayed in the South Fork all day and threw blades and Zoom Flukes. Better quality came on blades (including Dad's 6+), but probably had twice as many bites on the Fluke. Think transition zones, NOT SPAWN!! Bucks caught had no indication o nesting just yet, and emales are just out cruising and waiting or a slight increase in water temp. You olks ishing the NewBass Team this weekend should be in or a lot o un.RR

      Water Temp: 60 to 65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: They're here!! Got some very nice fish on Wednesday from about 11 to 3:30. Never left Mildred Island. Started flippin upclose. Then I realized, I was spooking the fish when I saw one take off as it saw me. So I backed off and start pithin a 6 1/2" Bass Pro black Bakudan Bait (I think that's what it's called - nice looking bait-displaces a lot of water). Tules and trees off the bank held fish. In terms of landing the fish, it was a tough day. If I had landed all the good ones, I would have had 25+ pounds for five fish. I have never had such a frustrating day (in a long time)-lines breaking, drag to loose, fish swimming right at the boat couldn't reel fast enough, fish wrapping around logs and coming off. Very frustrating day. I landed about nine fish, and probably lost about twelve (and a few of these were very large fish). Hopefully that will be the extent of that for the year and next trip I will land them all!

Tips: Mostly pitchin worms. About six fish on a shallow running Red Bomber. No spinnerbait fish. This is it. Go out and getem
