Then cranked 14 ish (mostly spots and twosalmon) to 3 1/2 pounds using silver/black Shad Raps. Fish were suspended on big lats next to deep water with no obvious structure nearby. Also ound some late spawners on beds. Let them alone but saw several over 3 pounds and one monster that looked like an easy 10+.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished in North end with new friend and fellow "nutcase" (HooksettR).Started in the Vineyards with reaction baits and got the donut.Started dragging green 6" Zoom lizards. Did pretty well, but nothing over two lbs.Caught maybe ten fish between us in the morning. The fish we caught were post spawn,1st and secondary points. NOTHING IN THE BACKS OF COVES! I thought the backs would be loaded, wrong! We moved to the West side about 11 am.This is when hooksetteR came alive. He was splitshotting a 6" green/weenie.He got 3-4 fish between 2-3 lbs.,promting me to switch. It seems that the higher the sun got,the fish got more selective. They would'nt touch a lizard or jig in the afternoon. It also got real slow.Water has really cleared up lately.Visability is around 10-13'.
City: San LeandroTips: Tips: Fish your best water early, then lighten-up as the sun gets on top of you.

Report: Fished from 3:00 PM to dark and caught over 30 fish. Up to multiple 4#ers and one that went about 5.5# on the scale. We killed 'em. It was a blast. Mostly on shallow running crankbaits. If was low tide for most of the afternoon AND WINDY! Caught some on spinnerbaits, some flippin', but mostly cranks. No topwater bite at all (where we fished) and we really tried to make the top water bite happen. We fished in the Holland Track area.
City: DanvilleTips: Tips: They are everywhere. It's hard to miss. Some fish are spawned out and some are not.

Report: My wife wanted to get out and do some fishing for Mother's Day. Dang, I'm lucky! Only got to get out for about four hours and it sure was windier than I'd like, but hey, sometimes you got to get out when you can. We caught seven. Big fish went to our son, Little Mike, 3-14. We tried a jig, speed trap, spinner bait, and even a buzz bait for a while. The only thing we caught fish on was a 6" greenie weenie.
City: SacramentoTips: Tips: Tips? I don't know if I'd listen to my tips. I just like being out on the water!
