Report: My buddy and I fished from the shoreline near the bridge from about 4-6pm. We caught three in the 2-3# range off of tubes about 20 feet from shore. We had a few bites on the senko with my buddy landing about a 2#. We probably would've caught more but it was pretty damn windy.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the island and all of the eastern shoreline. Saw a few cruizin bruisers one 3+ and one 4+ other than that not even a bite. I threw everything. Jigs, worms, spinnerbaits, top water, still nada ! Still had a great day with my daughter and watching her improvements casting.
      City: East Bay

Tips: Wait a few days or a week for stable weather i think it may have played a factor possibly.

      Water Temp: 57-61

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a rough Fri. evening. My buddy hooked 2 very shallow on a spinnerbait which both shook off. We both had a few bites but only 2 in the boat on jigs. I threw a L.C. Pointer for nada. A sweet beaver for nada. Numerous other baits also. The wind picked up limiting our areas to fish. Tried from 15 ft in to 1 ft. and couldn't find any consistency. I think the cold front shut my spots down because I was doing pretty good before it came through. Fished mostly the lakeport area. Some stable weather will hopefully get them going again.
      City: Yuba

Tips: Nothing good to offer. Rough day for me.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: A buddy and I fished Folsom yesterday from 6am to @1pm. The bite was tough but we managed about 16lbs for 5 fish with a 5.02lb Largemouth as a kicker fish. I can't say too much right now due to upcoming Future Pro Tournament next Saturday. I will post all details from yesterday's trip as well as how We did in the tournament on next saturday afternoon. All I can tell you now is that the water is starting to warm and that the lake level is up another 10 feet. I will also post the pic of the 5.02lb bass soon.

Report: I met a father and his 12 and 14 year old sons for some bass fishing. They had some trouble finding Markley Cove and by the time they did, about 7:15 am, the rain had started. It really was cold and the boys didn't last long. Dad and I worked on their casting which really was pretty good! The bite was slow so I hooked some spotted bass for the boys to fight and land. Dad missed a few bites himself. After 3 hours we had to go in, weather was pretty foul. I will be taking them again on a nicer day - very soon!! Very nice dad and young boys! I showed them an Evinrude rooster-tail behind the boat. The grin on the boys faces was worth the trip!!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I had an idenity crisis yesterday - I knew I was at Berryessa but the water looked like Pardee!! I have seen the lake clear before but maybe never this much - at least in Markley Cove. Amazing. Green pumpkin Power worms (4") produced our fish. The weedline starts at the 10 ft depth and there are bass relating to that edge.

      Water Temp: 53'-55'

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Drove 2 1/2 hours to find the South end clear and cold, with a storm front approaching.( I should have stayed home and fished Shasta) Put in at Redbud, fished shallow with zilch. Went to deeper stuff in the South end, including docks and rock pilings. Zilch. Finally got a 3 ponder on a tule point, first cast with a spinnerbait. Then around 11:30 got blown off the lake, with heavy rain thrown in.
      City: Redding

Tips: I hope the water warms by the 18th, for a club tourney I'm fishin.....

      Water Temp: 54-57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Once again I tried to time an incoming front with clouds dimming the moon - and failed! I think I could drive weather away anywhere in the world!! I was cloudy and warm when I started at dark last night, but about 11 pm the heavens said: "Watch this, Larry". Boom! Not a cloud in the sky until I left and bright near-full moon! Shadows here I come! Actually the bite was steady all night for 2 3/4 to 4 1/4 lb mostly male bass. In fact I was 20 for 20 - rare for me - 20 bites in the boat!! Then I missed 2 in a row. All in all, 23 or 24 nice bass - all but 5 or 6 over 3 lbs. I just missed a 20 lb limit by a few ounces. No sign of spawning marks on any of them. I just fished Red Bud area and Jago Bay. Night water temp was 54 all over.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I found the most aggressive fish - some actually took off with the bait - under docks, pilings, and walls with shadows. I fished jigs but couldn't get bit, nor did spinnerbaits and Piranha jigs work. A slow moving brush hog was what they wanted - black/red. Nearly all fish were the usual 4 to 12 feet deep - a few from 15 to 20. I wish I could even say I lost a monster - but I didn't, Just in my dreams!!!

      Water Temp: 57-59

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Took a couple friends out on collins yesterday wow what a windy day. Darn weather reporters did'nt call for 30+ winds. Tough to feel the bites tougher to catch fish except the abundant trout which we ended up with four of, one was a 6.4 caught it on a texas rigged red crawler robo. The bass we did catch were under the limit all on texas rigged robos fished very slowly in any calm area we could find (not many). Only had one in the wind but had allot of strikes mostley short ones grabbing the tail one hit on the hud and one on a wakebait but both were small. Don't quite understand whats going on with the lake right now but my confidence is that it will be in full spawn in about three weeks so keep trying the big girls are still there and there moving up soon most are just popping to spawn.
      City: grass valley

Tips: The bite right now seems to be for small fish, 2lbs and under but it should turn soon. If you are going out and just want to get some fish right now fish slow, and if you get bit pay attention to were it was. Fish it again its probably a buck on the bed. Might want to try the breaks from 12 -20 feet for the big ones holding out and waiting to move up

      Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 2:30 to 6:00 and had a great bite.Had close to 14 lbs with the best five. Caught a 4.5 spot that looked like it swallowed a softball. All females that were bulging with eggs. All the fish were spots, a total of 15 caught. With all the talk about fish killing I have to agree I am seeing lots of it. I pulled three decent spots off one area tonight then a small boat with three guys in it came the other side of the spot. They caught three and put them on a stringer with other fish.It was all legal, no violation I could see, they all had a license on.I for one would be happy to change the law to release only during the spawn.Tourney exemption ???
      City: Granite Bay

Tips: Sorry no specifics this time . Tourney in two weeks

      Water Temp: 55-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I knew the fishing would be tough in Sat after the nasty north wind on Fri, but I did a "teach the lake" trip with a nice client in his boat. Our main job was to learn more about how to approach the lake during different seasons of the year, and off-shore structure areas. We did fish a lot of spots, not spending too much time on any of them. I started off with a nice bass on a Rattletrap. We caught 2 more on 4" Berkely Power worms - nice spots to 2 1/2 lbs. We found a couple more in the afternoon with a total weight of over 8 lbs. If we had really fished hard in a few favorite areas, we would have caught more - I'm sure. Bite was really tough, no question. A few warm days WITHOUT a lot of wind will change the bite for the better. Lake is coming up very nicely!!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Can't give too many details since he is fishing upcoming tournaments. A lot of searching will be necessary since a rapidly rising lake offers so many new "homes" and spawning areas for the bass. The major spawn also will probably be a bit later this year.

Report: Well me and my brother made our first trip here since last year. we got on the H20 at 6.20 AM. started throwing swimbaits with no luck jerkbaits, we picked up first fish on a dropshot in about 1 to 2 ft. then again about every 10 ft. all the way down the bank.all were males squirting semen out so they either doing their thing or gaurding nest we ran out of our sexy shad robo worm then switched to margarita mutilator. and one on a wacky style senko. we also caught 2 trout 1 at 8 lbs and 1 at 5 lbs but they don't count we ended at 4pm a total of 61 fish and we lost several I got 28 and my bro got 33 that SOB won again I guess I taught him well, but he was in the front of boat all day so I guess I held my own!! All fish were released even the trout because they were a little big for bait HA HA

      Water Temp: 60-64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out sunday from 12:00OM to 6:00PM. Bite was wide open. Caught 23 fish on a combination of 1/4 oz shakey head with a 6 inch straight tail Aarons magic Roboworm, drop shot with 4 inch curly tail roboworm, and 1 fish on a crankbait. Fish were caught on main lake points and transitions from sand to rock or chunk rock to solid rock. Depth didn't seem to matter much, fish were caught from 6 inches of water to 23 feet. Most of the fish were in the 13-14 inch range, my largest was 2.5LBS. Good luck out there and be safe.
      City: Hollister

Tips: If heading out to Anderson, make sure your boat is bone dry, or you won't pass the mussel check. Check your livewells, bilge area and your motor.
Also check the website to ensure that your boat is registered in a county that is allowed on Anderson. Several counties and states are currently banned.

Report: Contrary to news reports my friend did not fall off his boat into his propellar. I and God were the only ones that witnessed that horrific event. My friend was thrown a safe distance from his boat. My friend was a peace officer. Fearing for the safety of others, he swam to his boat thinking of the safety of others. He died a hero.

Tips: Honor my friend wear your kill switch lanyard.
