Report: Fished topwater in the morning around 7:00 AM and landed a couple on a spook and buzz bait...Best going a 3.5 lb. Tide sucked and slowly changed and didn't get bit again until about noon, middle of the incoming tide. Flipping red flaked senkos and beavers in sparsed tullies...Absolutely hammered them in Franks tract, fish the tullies along Sugar Barge, next to the wall. Slow your roll and fish in the middle of the tullie clumps and you will nail them...a lot of pre-spawn fish moving up...

Tips: slow fall and dead stick...fish are willing to bite....

      Water Temp: 58-60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Ok had the future pro tour this weekend and It was fun fished last tuesday in the driving wind out of necessity we found a cove near the marina and hid out of the wind fishing willows what we stumbled on was around twelve pounds of fish on beds then thursday the wind was gone so I went looking for other beds and found tons of them all over the lake except up the north fork did'nt find one so on saturday I ran for the marina and got there first by 7 I had a limit and culled by 7:15 we had 11.44 in the boat all day could'nt cull up none of my bed fish were secrets anywhere else except one three pounder and I had her on then lost her just shy of the net.Took 32nd place out of the 153 boats. Needed that 3 to get in top ten maybe I won't mess up next time but I won't hold my breath.
      City: grass valey

Tips: The bed fish are up lots of largies check out the marina area I found a ton of spots hanging out under the docks I could'nt get them to bite but maybe you can. senkos in the willows don't give up on it may have to fish the same bush for awhile to get the bites but their in there. watch around you for fish moving out of the brush and on to beds it happened for me all day the hud can produce out there even in the afternoon a 10 plus was caught on the penn around 1pm so give a toss when you think the hens might move on to the beds.

      Water Temp: 59

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Well my buddy Doug and I fished the Future Pro event here on Folsom. Pre fished Friday and had about 15 lbs. Sat ( tournament day ) only could manage 11.41 for our best 5 fish. The guys in the lead when we left had 19 lbs, but they had an 11.55 lb kicker. The guys in second had a 10.4 kicker and only 18 lbs. If you did not get a kicker fish it was over. We thru swimbaits and spooks in the morning trying to find that kicker fish. Not even a follower. So we switched over to plastics for the rest of the day and got our limit. Culled a few fish, but no size. This is my second Future pro tournament and most contestants including myself do much better on prefish then the tournament. After two events I think I know why. Most tournaments do not allow prefishing after Wendsday. With Friday prefishing the fish are getting too beat up the day before. Even my partner and I caught too many fish the day before. We wanted to see what size fish were biting where. After one fish we would leave the spot only to see two other boats move in the spot, and catch fish. Perhaps Vince should consider no prefishing after thursday. He would have to have someone patrolling the situation, which adds to His costs.
      City: San Francisco

Tips: The trees and points were the spots in the afternoon. Also ledges 20 feet deep in the morning. Clear ,natural shad, or watermellon plastics were the key colors. Almost no bite. The fish just pick it up and somtimes move with it. Watch Your line. Ray

      Water Temp: 58-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: As I promised from my last post that I would tell you what I used bait wise on that outing. Threw senko's on isolated trees and brush piles. The word quickly got out and there were over 140 boats fishing today's FPT event and everyone were fishing the trees over real well. All week long those trees were hammered but still I believe that today's winner probably caught their fish in the trees. As for me not so well. As a local I am a shame that I don't do very well on this lake. It is very difficult for me to figure out.
      City: EDH

Tips: Just go out and have fun

Report: Hit the Lex in the afternoon. Been catching them on mission fish here recently. I came across a decent sized cruiser that whacked the pointer 100. No other bites, but I did see a snake eating a dead fish.
      City: los kitty

Tips: The fish are still here, you just have to be willing to go in after them. How is yote?

      Water Temp: 51-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

      Report: Fished from 730-200pm

      Water temp at inlet/bagby arm...51
water temp at piney creek ......57-58
water temp at mcclure point ....61-62

water clarity 7-8ft.(a debris field in bagby arm)

Active bite from small male bass. Senkos working well. Still no particular reaction bite from crank baits and spinnerbaits. Did so well on Senko's that I never got to drop shot, football jig or shakey.

I was using a ripbait early on and caught trout on it. Also wife came with me, latter in the day and had trout try to eat small 3" swimbaits.

I caught bass on a number of different areas, so not really clear what structure they were on as a patern, but they were still deep...15-25ft. most bass were 14in or so.
      City: Atwater

Tips: soft plastics, little or no weight...deepish

      Water Temp: 60.5

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got a late start and was on the water around noon. Hit the Yorty Creek Area looking for some bed fish. Nothing happening, so hit a couple of the long points near flats and bagged 5 fish to 4.5 lbs on shallow running cranks, white/chartreuse fished "slowly" over the grass. The lone female was still full and waiting. Moved to main lake points and picked up a couple of smallies on jigs. Wind picked up around 4:15PM, so called it a day with 7 fish, best five 14 lbs.
      City: Sebastopol

Tips: I spoke with a couple of guys in a Ranger at the dock saying they had seen fish on beds in the back of Cherry Creek. I never made it there, so I cannot confirm. I did not see a single fish up tight while in Yorty.

      Water Temp: Not sure never

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well we gave Amador another try to see if we could find some big females got on the H20 at 6 am. and started throwing BBz swimbait and hollow belly with no luck threw these off and on all day and I am not going to stop utill I get that big girl I'am looking for.It started out a little slow we picked up 1 male on a weightless senko then picked up another here and their all males. we had 15 fish by noon mostly on dropshot nothing big about 2 lbs avarage but alot of fun we headed in for some lunch and stopped at a point real quick to try it and hung into a 5 lb trout the was thirsty for some margarita mutilator. left my buddy at the dock to fish for trout and headed back out with my brother we caught a few more and then at 5pm all hell broke lose and we got 7 in a row and a couple of doubles. it kept going like that until 10 pm and decided to call it a day lost count after 50 Mostly males a couple of females all fish were realesed except 2 trout I figured I had to take them to cover the 32 buck fee for two guys to fish.

      Water Temp: 57.5-67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Friday and Saturday at berryessa. Friday the bite seemed a bit better for larger fish. Landed 4 in the morning around 1.5lbs a piece then the bite died for a few hours, back on the water at 3pm we caught fish until we trailered up. All fish were 2lbs+ with an 8.1 lb largemouth on the last cast of the day. Best 5 went 17lbs. All fish Firday came via dropshot and jigs, lost one on a rip bait and a few c-rigging. Saturday boated 12 fish on a variety of baits, senkos, jigs, cranks, dropshotting. biggest fish was 1.5lbs. Fish seemed smaller today with our best 5 going 6lbs. Lost a 3-4lber on a crank and various other fish that would have helped the bag too...
      City: Reno, NV

Tips: Spotted alot of LMs up shallow after 3pm... seemed to be when the bite really turned on. Fished the backs of coves and the backs of points leading into coves. Seemed to land 2 or 3 fish per cove in the afternoons.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Three of us on my boat had a great time. We mainly fished the creek by dragging plastics in 10 to 15 feet of water though we had a lot of fun cruising a cove and landed about 15 all together. Almost all were very soft strikes and most of the fish came in around 1 to 1.5 lbs with the largest coming in at 3 lb 11oz.

      Water Temp: 58-63

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Water clarity should have an "ultra-clear" click with 15+ visiblilty!! I just completed 2 nice father-child trips - yesterday with a dad and his 14 year old son and 14 year old friend, and today (Fri) with a dad and his 20 yr old daughter - who loves to fish and beat her dad! It is interesting that the bite was better yesterday - recovery post-front day, than today - warmer day (but no wind!). The big thrill yesterday was the guest 14 year old caught his first bass - a 17 inch spot - WOW!! I talked him through the fight and he got it in! The other boy then lands his first bass ever - a 15 1/4 inch spot. Today the daughter landed her first bass - a 14 inch smallie. Proud dads - and they were outfished!! Fri we boated about 14 bass including a largemouth for about a 10 lb limit. Good start for those boys. Today the bite was slower and the fish were smaller and only 9 or 10 were landed. I heard from others that the bite was slower today, though someone always will do well. We fished the narrows mostly yesterday. Today we fished the narrows to Big Island.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: We found very few bass in the backs of coves. Most of our fish came off points with a steep drop on the front or off to the side. We did catch and miss a lot of fish on the inside edge of the weedline. I missed 2 quality bass that I couldn't move out of the weeds. All the clients missed several that they thought were weeds - that is always a tough call for beginners. We did see a few bass and several carp this afternoon in shallow water on the east side. The warmest water I could find was a brief 64 degrees. There are acres and acres of now-shallow flats that are not near deep water and the bass probably won't use these areas to spawn and feed this summer. One needs to concertrate on areas with some deep water nearby. We did some drop-shotting of morning dawn Robo worms today and that did produce 3 or 4 bass. We split-shotted green pumpkin Power worms and MMIII Robos - 4 and 6 inch. Saw and Eagle today and several deer both days. Everyone loved that!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I am taking my son fishing this weekend and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just wanted to know how the bite is on the lake. I don't need to know which spots or lures that you are using, I just wanted to know if anyone has been up lately and if it was worth the trip. This lake is ussually close to going wide open this time of year, but with Pedro, sometimes you never know. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Feel free to e-mail if you would like. Thanks.
