Report: Well me and my brother made our first trip here since last year. we got on the H20 at 6.20 AM. started throwing swimbaits with no luck jerkbaits, we picked up first fish on a dropshot in about 1 to 2 ft. then again about every 10 ft. all the way down the bank.all were males squirting semen out so they either doing their thing or gaurding nest we ran out of our sexy shad robo worm then switched to margarita mutilator. and one on a wacky style senko. we also caught 2 trout 1 at 8 lbs and 1 at 5 lbs but they don't count we ended at 4pm a total of 61 fish and we lost several I got 28 and my bro got 33 that SOB won again I guess I taught him well, but he was in the front of boat all day so I guess I held my own!! All fish were released even the trout because they were a little big for bait HA HA

Tips: Go fish and release your catch !!

      Water Temp: 60-64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out sunday from 12:00OM to 6:00PM. Bite was wide open. Caught 23 fish on a combination of 1/4 oz shakey head with a 6 inch straight tail Aarons magic Roboworm, drop shot with 4 inch curly tail roboworm, and 1 fish on a crankbait. Fish were caught on main lake points and transitions from sand to rock or chunk rock to solid rock. Depth didn't seem to matter much, fish were caught from 6 inches of water to 23 feet. Most of the fish were in the 13-14 inch range, my largest was 2.5LBS. Good luck out there and be safe.
      City: Hollister

Tips: If heading out to Anderson, make sure your boat is bone dry, or you won't pass the mussel check. Check your livewells, bilge area and your motor.
Also check the website to ensure that your boat is registered in a county that is allowed on Anderson. Several counties and states are currently banned.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Contrary to news reports my friend did not fall off his boat into his propellar. I and God were the only ones that witnessed that horrific event. My friend was thrown a safe distance from his boat. My friend was a peace officer. Fearing for the safety of others, he swam to his boat thinking of the safety of others. He died a hero.

Tips: Honor my friend wear your kill switch lanyard.

Report: Fished last night and this morning (camped at the lake). All my fish were caught on Margarita Mutilator Roboworms. I fished them on shakey heads and darter heads. Both worked equally the same. Most fish came from points and some in the coves in the northern part of the lake around the Rock Creek area. Caught a fair mix of spots and largemouth.
      City: Lincoln

Tips: Bring a lot of MM Robos with you, I ran out because the fish were tearing them apart!

      Water Temp: 53-62

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a rough time prefishing. The weather went south on us and the bite followed. On Saturday the bite picked back up just in time for the tourny. Water temp came up in the small sloughs, where the water was sheltered and clear. We threw chartreuse BLADES almost exclusively. Some of the club members fished swims in the heavy grass for some nice fish including a 6.92 spawned out hog. The key seemed to be finding the warmer water. Once it hit around 53 the bite turned on, and the warmer it got the hotter the bite. We finished 4th, but only 3/4 pound out of third with a 29.74 2 day bag.
      City: Sun Valley

Tips: All I can say is find a pattern that is working, and stick to it. We caught 4 fish in 6 days not on blades, and around 50 on them. Be persistant. Be patient. And have fun.

Report: Why do you cover up your pictures at shadow cliffs? I don't understand why people do that, especially there.

      Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lots of smaller keepers up shallow on reaction baits - blades and traps. Also found a few fish and the senkos. We couldn't get any bigger fish. The water's pretty stained from about Cruz upto the narrows. Key on the bite was to slow the bait down some and get some bottom contact with the rocks.
      City: SB

Tips: Can't go worng with the 1/2 oz crawdad rattletrap

      Water Temp: 52-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished yesterday (Sat). Water temp dropped quite a bit and early morning was really windy and cold.
Caught a 5-0 near Franks in 20+ near shallow water hoping a lipless off the bottom and a 2-10 in a levee break with current at 12'. Felt like most fish retreated to deeper water with the drop in temp.
      City: San Ramon

Tips: look for transition areas (deep-to-shallow) and try different depths until you find the fish. Current is always a must-check.

      Water Temp: 55-57

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Took a short trip with my wifey last night she had buisness meetings till 1pm so we didn't start till around three talked to a few guys as I was checking in they all told me the same thing fishing is tough had not caught a fish all day. My second cast 1.5 spot fifth cast 2.0 spot few minutes later 2.5 largie the point is don't listen to dock talk you can get the wrong attitude heading in. Those all came on mm111 4.5 drop shoted in about 8 to 10 feet of water. put the dropshot down picked up the hud and started chucking I've got to say it was a terrible day for huds slight north wind and then that died so I went from a rof 12 to a rof 5 and fished it much slower. about an hour before dark I hooked up with a giant spot 5.5 lbs great fight and my wife got to show off her netting skills. The trout plants are ridiculous right now and if you want to catch trout I highley recommend collins there everywhere.
      City: grass valley

Tips: Collins is getting ready to be good again the water is muddy so there arent allot of fish spawning but they want to so keep trying with the hud it will still produce big fish infact a 9.2 and 15 pounder were caught on 4/2/09 on huds good job.

      Water Temp: Not Exactly Sur

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Pretty Windy like Steve L. said. Made detecting bites kinda difficult but a buddy and I were able to land three of six fish we enticed (or at least the bait enticed) to bite. All bows. Two in the 14" class and another that was about 2lbs. Wish it weren't as windy but oh well. Water level's come up a bit so some of that nice structure is back underwater for Bass. Happy Hunting.
      City: Walnut Creek

Tips: White Power Egg and white floating Power Worm (cut to about 2") on a size 14 treble seems to do the trick great. Previously caught our limit on 2/28 fishing this combo.

      Water Temp: 50-57

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: A bit chilly on sat to say the least but it quickly wore off after that first initial run ended!! Started out just throwing reaction baits lucky craft, yozuri's, and shad patterns to no avail!! Fished south hard till 10:30 with out a bite and then got a small KEEPER in about twenty feet! As we pulled up to a spot way up the south arm there were a couple of guys fishing with live bait on a wall up there "supposedly for trout".. I asked them if they had done any good and they pulled up a stringer with a Beautiful pre spawn 4 pound momma just fat as can be with eggs!!! I was so upset that they were gonna keep her i thought about jumping in and cutting that thing loose but i held back my urge and just tried to put it out of my mind!! Fricken sad to see!!! Fished around main body to end the day with only that one little guy and headed in frustrated as can be!!!
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Please guys the lake is hard enough and i want my kids to enjoy the largemouth bass in the future so if you must keep them make sure they are not prego and make for dang sure they are over the legal limit!! Its best to just buy the ones at the store if you must enjoy a nice meal cause bass are not known for their taste anyway!!
      God Bless!!

      Water Temp: 52-56

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the CBAF today with about 25 to 30 other boats. Very tough morning bite, at noon we only had two fish in the live well. After that the fished moved up and we started culling at 1:00 ended up just short of eleven pounds.Lots of small weights, I did not go to the awards as it was in Rocklin but I think around 13 lbs was the winner and just shy of 4 lbs was big fish.
      City: Granite Bay

Tips: Fish the afternoon the next couple of days

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well me and my brother gave it a try today got on the water at 6:20 am. we didn't pick up our first fish until about 8:30 am on a Xrap in about 15 ft. then my brother picks 1 up on a dropshot in about 20 ft. Then we came up on a group of people catching and keeping undersized bass so I called fish and game and gave them their CF # as soon as I called they high tailed it out of their and think headed in. I talked to the game warden and they didn't get them this time but next time I hope their luck runs out !! The game warden told me that the CF # I gave him didn't match any boat In the records so you guys keep going out their and I hope you get caught !! well we ended up with 4 fish for the day,oh well think I'll try Amador tomorrow
      City: Carmichael

Tips: If You see these people out on the water taking undersized fish Get Cf # and a good description of the boat and # of people poaching

      Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: sunny, partly cloudy with wind 5-15mph comming from the south, blowiing to the NNW corner.
some patchy water temps some areas 60 others 55.
Inactive bite....seemed they were still 24-28ft down some anglers caught fish on senko's dragged on the bottom. Another tournament out of South Barretts again, but I didn't cath the Organization. The Anglers came ripping in at 2'oclock...funny how the no wake zone gets ignored for tournaments....I spent a few minutes waiting to cross the lake why they measured thier manhood.
      City: Atwater

Tips: fish deep.jigs, shakey heads...or soft plastics.

      Water Temp: 56-58.5

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took me a couple of hours to get a pattern dialed in, but once I did, all hell broke loose. Not alot in terms of numbers, but I caught four fish over 5lbs with the biggest tipping my scale at 9lbs 12oz and the marinas scale at 9 1/2 lbs. Total fish for Saturday was 7. All fish fell victim to the same worm on very light line. No fish were caught off of beds- they were caught in areas adjacent to spawning areas. I looked for beds and found a few with some males on them but they were very scittish and uncommitted.
      City: Elk Grove

Tips: Never go fishing without a camera. When I caught the big one, I realized I had no camera!!! I put her in the livewell (which was way too small on my 84 Ranger...she had to sit in there diagonally)and hauled to the marina. They dont sell cameras, but the guy working was kind enough to use his own camera to take pictures...I will post when he emails to me.
