      Water Temp: 78-80

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: My cousin Gene and I launched out of Paradise at 5:30A. By 7:00A, he had caught 6 keeper size bass while I was still waiting for my first hit. I finally caught a bass around 7:30A - about 6 inches long - at least I got some action (the funny thing was that both of us were throwing the same lure - a 1/2 oz white chatterbait). For the day, we caught over 15 keeper size bass. Personally, I didn't catch a lot of keeper size fish, but I did catch a 6 lb bass on a chatterbait. Best 5: 16+ lbs.
      City: Dixon

Tips: White chatterbait or spinnerbait. All fish were caught inside weedline or areas that had scattered weeds/tules.

Report: Never been to Anderson and was wondering if you guys have any advice as far as location wise. Don't have to give away your secret spots, just looking for general info. More cover in North end or South end? I've got a pontoon float so covering the entire lake is not an option for me. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

      Water Temp: 75 - 77

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished out of Hollands first light. First fish was 4.13 on a buzzbait. Switched to a popper and caught a 3.12 and 4.8. Then I started to throw a frog on the grass and caught a 4.5. Pulled in 2 3.8 on a brown jig and ended with a 7.2 on a popper Splash-it. Damn that is what I call an awesome day. Off the water by noon.
      City: Livermore

Tips: Fish early and find areas that have shallow tules relating to deep water. Use topwater and cast it close to the tules. Hang on!!!

      Water Temp: 70's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I got on the lake around 1:00 pm ,thurs, and went to some shallow docks on the north end. The fishing was as good as the Tackle It web site said it would be. I caught all my fish on 5 and 6 inch worms,Yamamoto and Lucky Strike ,varing colors. I got them under the docks, between the docks,in front of the docks and right up against the sand in 2 feet of water at the back of the docks..I had a 30 minute run where I caught a fish every cast and ended up with a 40 fish afternoon.I don't scale all of my fish but they went from 1 1/2 # to 6#. The smoke was thick and stiffling, the water was flat and the air was everybit of 90 degrees WHAT AN AWESOME AFTERNOON of fishing!!!! Cant wait to make my next trip
      City: Ft Bragg,Ca

Tips: The weeds are friend and foe. After speeding to your spot left your big motor so you won't drag a big clump with you. And while trolling set the depth of your trolling motor, there is usually an optimum depth to keep it. Also, troll between the weed and grass patches, and check and clear tangles often. Don't let them get you down cuz BASS love um!!!!!!!!!!!

Report: Fluke bite is on!Fish wouldn't touch any other topwater.Caught 5 fish today and yesterday all on flukes. They hit after 3-4 jerks then pause and Bang! So much fun. Caught them on boat launch and the island
      City: Antioch

      Tips: Use shad colors

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: anyone else fish for bass here? I've been having decent fishin the past few weeks using plastics very very very slow. Flippin weedless senkos into structure, drop-shotting walls and points, and an occasional jig fish. Tried jerkbaits, topwater baits, rattles, cranks, buzz, spinners, and nothing. Caught a few 10+ers using swim baits during the DFG trout stocking. Emphasize SLOW fishing. Biggest fish was 5.4 caught dead-stickin, put my rod down to swich baits on another rod, picked it up an fish on!
      City: San Jose/South Lake Tahoe

Tips: SLOW SLOW SLOW. slight twitches to plastic baits and then dead-stick. Will get bit when bait appears to die. Same with senkos, when not hitting on the drop, they hit dead-sticking.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I fish Berryessa from shore or a float tube just about every Wednesday and the lake level is continually lower every week. I fish from 5pm till they kick me out of Oak Shores at dark (open till 9pm during the summer). I haven't posted reports each week but here is a summary of the fishing I've done in the last few months at Oak Shores Day Use area.

There are coves with hydrilla that I've been catching bass on Senko's and 1/8 oz. Carolina rigged Roboworms. Some of the coves get muddied up by carp rooting around so I've mostly avoided them and fished the clearest coves and the ones closest to deeper water or any current bringing in fresh water. The most stagnant coves seem to be the least productive for me (but I have avoided fishing them much because of all the carp). Last night, however, I caught a giant largemouth on a popper in one such cove on my way back to the car and another 1 lb. bass in the same cove.

The last half hour before dark has been the most productive for topwater and other reaction baits like crankbaits and jerkbaits. I have also caught fish on windblown points spinnerbaits in addition to the cranks and jerks.

I'd have to say I've caught the greatest number of bass (all species) on darthead Roboworms. All colors have produced but the Aaron's magic has been my best producer.
      City: Napa

Tips: Darthead worms around rocky points and islands, Senkos in and around weeds, Carolina rigged worms for both, and crankbaits and jerkbaits when the wind blows across points, and topwater at dusk. The next few months I'll try to put the rest of my tacklebox to the test to see when other lures work.

Report: This is not a report but a request for one. I live in Redding it is to smoky here to fish Shasta. My grandkids are here for a visit and was wondering how the air quality is and how the fishing is at Black Butte. I am thinking of trying on Tuesday the first. Any information would be helpfull. I know Shasta very well so if anyone would like to know how the fishing is there I can help. Thanks Joe

Report: Wow I see why the pros hate the Senko!! They allow a novice like me to catch a decent limit.

Ask me to quietly pitch a jig forget about it, but a Senko no problem. Fished the area between Franks and Mildred. Had my limit in an hour and a half. Caught them on jigs,Senkos, tube, and speed trap.

After I caught my limit I went big. I tied on my biggest Senko I had, a 9 inch Salt N Pepper with tail dipped in Chartruece paint. Fifth cast rewarded me with my P.B. 7.14 LB. Last fish caught on it was a Catfish!!! Ended with a 20.15 LB limit. Hail Senko!!!!
      City: W.Sac

Tips: O ring your Senkos they last longer.

      Water Temp: 68 to 71

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 24 th thru 26 th every moring and evening. The smoke was down to about 1 mile visability. the fishing was ok but not killer. I could not get a reaction fish at all, tried ripbaits and top water with no success. The best bite was on tubes and pro leach both on purple colors. Dart head the tube and split shot the pro leach.I tried jigs and flukes and did not have much action. Did get a few senko fish but tubes or split shot seemed to be much more effective.
fished the West side of the Peninsula around Bailey creek and Hamilton branch area coves. Never had one over three pounds, had a lot of two plus smallies. Bite was one every 30 minutes or so on average.
      City: Granite Bay Ca.

Tips: bring your tackle with you as area tackle shops don't have squat.I ran out of my good color plastics and could not find anything close.Smoke purple was the ticket.
