Water Temp: 68-73
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Took the Mrs. out Monday afternoon for some fun fishing and found the bite to be off a little. Although we caught some nice bass the numbers dropped, so I went back out Tuesday morning to see if the morning bite was better. It diffently was a lot better with around 60 bass for the time frame from 7am. to 12:30pm. The top water action has been good, but it was fantastic Tues. morning. We were throwing spooks and vixons and even two 14 3/4 in. on one cast with 7 to 8 over. Some of the bass were spitting up 5 inch salmon that were just planted by Fish and Game. That could be the reason why the bite slowed up. Tubes also were getting bit.
City: ParadiseTips: Morning seems to be more productive right now. Start the day with top water lures then move down from there with dart head worms, tubes, senko's, etc. Jigs have slowed up some but always have one tied on for points. We still have water on the ramps, but will be gravel in a couple of weeks. That means it won't be so good for the skiers but the fishing will still be good.

Water Temp: 73
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched first light from Holland. Got a couple small ones on RatL-Trap, another on a senko, then nothing until noon when WHAM--10lb. 11oz. monster on RatL-Trap. Caught and released her unharmed after a couple of photos--not sure how they came out though--it was a little tricky holding that beastie and doing the self portrait thing! Got a few more after that but it was a little anti-climactic.
City: Walnut CreekTips: Don't give up. You never know when a slow day will turn into gold.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I launched and fished half a day from the Konocti side. Weeds - Weeds - Weeds. No where to cast along the shore anyway where the weeds werent thick. Cleaning my baid after every cast.
Water level also down considerably. Is the highlands side of the lake so thick with weeds also.
In order to get away from the weed you had to be a good 50 - 100 yards from the shoreline.
I picked up a few with a bright purple senko. It was agravating however.
How do you guys deal with the shoreline weeds?
ALSO
My trolling motor and outboard were constantly getting stopped up with the same weeds.
I am fishing on the wrong side of the lake?

Shadow Cliffs Lake

Water Temp: 75-80
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: went again to (blank) back pond and caught four more bass totaling around 13lbs., biggest at 5lbs. My friend got 2 bass around three pounds. I was using the same (blank) lure.
City: pleasantonTips: work the (blank) lure slowly

Sonoma Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went fishing, was able to catch some decent fish. One of the fish was 5lbs., another 4lbs. Looks like they might still be dropping water since the lake looked down about a foot or more. Couldn't really catch fish in areas you might have caught them a week ago. Fish anywhere on the lake as conditions seem to be fairly good everywhere, if you got the right pattern going.
City: F-VilleTips: Bring your oxygen tank with the smoke in the air from the fires, not fun. Better yet take your time, the fish are there. If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the flame then you will catch fish.

Stevens Creek Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: 6 bass in 4 hours from shore. Drop shot and Jig & pig (matched the crayfish colors that I found under logs). Biggest fish maybe 2.5 lbs.

Water Temp: 72.6
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: We started the morning watching the lightning as we drove toward the lake, not sure if when we go there we would be fishing or sitting for a couple hours waiting for a restaurant to open and have breakfast. Luck was on our side and we launched out of the Oaks with no wind and no lightning! We started out a four walls with 3 or 4 small fish all on brown and purple jigs. We moved across to a weed line we like to fish and caught a couple 4 pounders. We headed to the windmill point and caught another 4 pounder on a watermelon Senko. Next was off to egg rock for a 3 pounder and then headed home.
City: SacramentoTips: We did not have any reaction bite this morning. Everything came close to grass and on a slow presentation.

New Melones Lake

Water Temp: 74-76
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: First time on this lake. It was nice but get on the water early. The bite turned off at 0930 hrs. Split shot, carolina rig and crank baits did well for us. Dark green or shad color. I took the family. We had 12 fish in three hours. All of them around 1 1/2 lbs. except for the 3 1/2 lbs'er my wife caught on a carolina rig.
Tips: On the water early and get off early. Stay cool and fish deep. The fish were tight to the bottom in 30-40 feet of water.

Oroville Lake

Water Temp: 65-71
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Took my young fishing partner Tanner to our Paradise Bass Club( also open for new members) Saturday. As before, the morning top water bite was really on. We were both throwing vixons and had blow ups all morning. As the day progressed we started thowing lipless crank baits and continued bass after bass. It did not take long before the pleasure boats had mud lines all over the lake. We then started throwing jigs to finish the day. We had 5 over for the day and about 50+ for ending total.
City: ParadiseTips: Take advantage of the morning top water bite. As the day goes on go deeper. The reaction bite is really picking up as well.

Pardee Lake
-
Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Okay so I have to assume you guys that posted before me must not have bothered to select the appropriate water clarity button. Was bummed to get to Pardee and find 15 to 25 ft visibility!! Where's the 'stained' water and 'muddy' banks these guys talked about?? Then the clincher was the species. Of course there are smallmouth, but 'spots'?? These aren't spots! These are Northern strain LARGEMOUTH! So funny you guys call 'em SPOTS! Northern strain largemouth have a real compressed black line down their sides, kinda like a spot. Check the upper jaw when it's mouth closed, it extends beyond the center of a vertical line thru its eye.
City: FolsomTips: Water is soo stinkin' clear, better get out there early and pick up a couple on topwater. On Saturday they were pretty non-commital on the spook, flashing on it and swelling several times. We landed a couple to about 2 lbs. Picked up one on a dart head in about 20 ft of water. Caught a couple more on a LC Stacy 90 rip and jerk baits. Nothing big this day and saw no cruisers at all, and we looked real hard. Fished big Huddie swimbaits with no results-same for smaller ones. Topwater was most fun, who knows, hit it on the right day and it could be real good.

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: low 70's
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: This is a report for Wed 6/18 and Fri 6/20. Wednesday, after launching at the free ramp in the keys, I threw a frog in the rattlesnake arm for an hour without a bite. Started getting fish from honeymoon cover south on wakebaits, frogs, flukes and senkos. Ended the day at 1pm with 14 fish to 3 lbs.
Friday, it was 10 degrees warmer at dawn 5:15 am! OMG that is June fishing for you. I decided to put in at Redbud for a change of pace. Threw a frog for a few minutes, with no takers, so I flung a buzzbait and whacked a 3.5 in the first few casts..........?????????? I have thrown a buzzbait for 5 million casts on this lake and only caught one fish, now I catch one in 5 minutes? I stuck with it and banged a 6.6 a few minutes later...Wow. Sun now on water and I see lots of shade on the east bank. Move over the to water pipe point just north of Redbud and bang 2 more 2 lb fish. The bank just north of the water pipe point is real shallow but I decided to fish it anyhow. No bites for a few minutes, but then a 5.0 eats the buzzer and I am back in action. I fish a small harbor and have several blow up on the frog, but they dont get the hook. Get a 3.3 by a private harbor that says no boats. Lost one south of the boatworks. It got ugly for several hours where I saw fish cruising in the shallows, but not biting. Decided to hit a very protected cove where I'd caught several on Wednesday. I break my frog off in a tree and decided to head in and retrieve it. When I get under the shade of the tree, I see bass everywhere. Then I see 5 beds in casting distance. I mess with them and none of them jump on my senko. I kept messing with one of them, banging my lure off the fish. Suddenly, the fish is interested........OMG, then it eats the lure and I land it. I managed 5 bed fish in an hour or so........tons of fun. Even caught another on a frog. Headed to some dense timber around 3 pm and they were all over my senko. I caught 8 up to 3.3 lbs before leaving @ 4pm to pick up my kid at school. I finally had a quality day here this year with my best 5 breaking 21 lbs. I saw Lunker Larry's truck in the parking lot at redbud friday............maybe he can give us his report.......
City: Yuba CityTips: Seems topwater was working Friday. Heard that the spinnerbait was king on thursday. I caught several fish deep, 20+feet on a jig, but it was not red not, nor was the dock bite in the afternoon. It appears that this last full moon has more fish spawning. I
