Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: had good day today, caught 18 total best five 23lbs got some early on high tide on spinner bait then the gail force winds picked up had to get off the island tullys went over to tiki and got in some cover, used sinkos and lit them up. that bite slowed and some how the wind slowed up to so went to rocks and tullys got them again on spinner and speed trap.as the wind yet picked up again choose not to fight it and called it a day.so as plastic man said lots of pictures and let them all go...i only hope that everybody else lets them go, if you do keep some keep the two and three pounders leave the breeders to do their jobs for future fishing days....
City: san ramonTips: if its to windy find some cover use plastic...

Water Temp: 63
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Started the morning in Franks Tract. Wind seem to be 20+. Picked up a small one on c-rig then my boat got stuck on a submerge rock (peat moss)the wind kept me lodge in and nothing I could do could get me off. Thankful tghat the only other boat in the tract was a ranger fishing nearby who came to my assistance and pulled me off (otherwise, it would be a long wait for the tide to come in.) Moved to Mildred and continued to throw swim baits, sp;inners and cranks but no takers. Wind died down and threw senkos and the fish were on. Everytime I switched to something else, no bites. They only wanted worms and dead sticking. Didn't matter what color. Best 5 was over 16lbs with the biggest at 6 lbs. Not bad for a windy, windy day.
City: South San FranciscoTips: Fished outgoing tide with senkos, deadsticking and wacky. Didn't matter what color, they were very light bites. Had to watch line, which is tough in the wind. Not holding tight to the tulles, seemed to be post spawn in deeper water.

Water Temp: 63-65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Another great client (and good fisherman) and I launched out of Red Bud at 8 am just as two other rigs had already taken out and were going to the north end to get out of the wind. Another horrible windy morning got me wondering if we would last - but we did - fishing protected lower lake areas and even in Cache Creek, then slowly working our way up the lake as the wind gradually let up after 1 pm. I was very pleasantly surprised at our results - 16 in the boat with two 4 1/2 pounders - overall best 5 near 20 1/2 lbs. I was very pleased. We caught bass as shallow as 2 feet - mostly in tulle areas. Wacky Senkos were again the key, although a few were caught on green pumpkin worms, AND - one on a brown/orange Rodstrainer jig - finally!!!!! Unlike last Thursday, we only saw one bass under a dock in the afternoon. A few places that were good last week were dead today. Most hookups today were non-bites - just pressure. It is always great to have a better day catching than one would expect!
City: Yuba CityTips: Any tips that I would give would probably be blown out tomorrow!! A spring to forget!! Again, the #301 Senko worked very well as did one or two of the two/color laminates (912 and 926). My client did fish swimbaits a fair amount and actually had 2 hits, but no connections. I thought they would produce with the wind. One or two of the bigger bass seemed to have already spawned. Again, the bite was shallow - about 2 to 8 feet.

Millerton Lake

Water Temp: 65
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Arrived at lake around 5:30pm. I wanted to take my kids fishing but questioned why I was there when I looked at the wind formed waves knocking the boats around on the dock. We all put on Life Jackets and decided that we would try. Motored across the lake to the North shore and tucked into a quiet cove. Over the next couple of hours we caught small (no bigger than 14") spots. Most came on hologram shad 41/2" curly tail Roboworms dropshotted in 2-20 feet of water.
City: FresnoTips: The fish were easy to find but be sure to bring bumpers for your boat if the wind is up, wind + boat wakes = large rollers coming directly into the launch ramp.

Shasta Lake

Water Temp: unknown
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I am going to be at shasta 14-18, I usually do just fine fishing in fact I usually catch more fish than anyone on the houseboat. But I have never fished with the water as low as it is, does it change the places you fish? We usually spend the most time on the pit. But it doesn't relly make any difference to me. I usually just use 4-5" powerworms or sencos and catch a lot of fish.

Water Temp: 65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out of Holland and ran to the south side side. Started fishing at 8 a.m. Had my limit by 9:30. Two 3 pounders and three 1 pounders. All on bleeding spinnerbaits. Didn't have anymore bites until about 3 hours later. Then caight one more 1 pounder. My fishing partner also caught a 2 pounder. Those two fish were on watermelon senkos.
City: El SobranteTips: The water is warming up now so the fish are getting more active now. The spinnerbait bite is picking up. We threw jigs, crankbaits, worms, lizards, craws, everything. Only caught them on spinnerbaits and senkos. They are right inside the tules so if your baits isn't hitting the tules, they wont touch it.

Camp Far West Lake

Water Temp: 70-75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Managed to make it out 2 days this week. Went out on Sunday and got to fish a few hours before the biggest rain storm i had ever seen came through and soaked me from head to toe!Sun- Starting fishing at around 4:30 in the after noon..Lots of boat traffic so headed to some back copves for calmer water...Found 74 degree water and starting throwing spooks right off the bat, caught 8 fish in about 45 minutes including a 6.7 pound largemouth.Caught a few more on a shakey head then the rain came. then on 5-06 hit the water at about 1:00 p.m. and off at 8:30 and caught at least 40 fish but NOTHING over 2 pounds. caught them on dropshot, shakey head, spook, senkos, and a few on cranks. Most fish were shallow(under 8 feet) but did catch fish in up to 18 ft. the fish were schooled up big time. If you found one you more then likely found 8 or 10 fish. mainly fished sloping banks with small rock. Concentrated on flats..Saw a lot of fish cruising but they were very skittish. All main body.
City: Yuba CityTips: Fish are VERY active...Really no need to fish very slow. Fish were chasing bait and seemed to be agreesive. Fish up tight, and look for shade if you can...Mudlines created by wakeboarding boats are clutch for senko fishing too.

Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got out there around eight, Started at the dam and worked swim bait, two hits, moved to rock creek and started throwing senko's, got three small ones.
Moved up the south fork and kept at it, two more dinks.
Switched to rattle traps, fire tigers and craw dad colors. two more.
Had a friend tow me close to the ramp after engine trouble and my friend nailed six smallies along the bank on drop shot.
Hopefully I can get my motor fixed and I'll be out there again.
City: AntelopeTips: Work the brush just off the banks with senko's and throw top water in the shady cover..

Water Temp: 58-70!!!
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Did you see that temp difference? From the oaks to above Shag Rock I found that much of difference, but those temps did not go up as I went south they were all over the place, very strange to me. OK, had my 4 year old and 6 year old in the boat so got about a solid 4 hrs of fishing out of 8 hrs on the water for a total of 8 hrs of fishing in 2 days, alot of swimming and eating:) Got 9 fish to 3.5 lbs on Mon drop shotting 4 inch worms, most were in a magic depth of 10-11 feet, I found fish in 8-30 feet but only the ones in 10-11 would eat for some reason, I did get a 3.5 bed fish, not the biggest girl but she was in 3 feet in the tulies right were she would be behind a under water wall out of the current & wind, out of 9 fish 2 were in 3 feet the rest 10-11 feet. Monday was 8 fish for 4 hrs also drop shotting also same depth. I did rip for about 30 minutes and cranked for about 45 minutes and did get one on the DT 10.
City: San JoseTips: Find 65 plus deg water and look for fish in 10-11 feet, you may have to look around but you will find it, 6 lb line wacky rigged 4 inch worms, I will not say the color, got a tourney coming up:)but hey lets face it, I don't think it will be won on a drop shot but who knows its been a stange spring but its picking up, I would sum up Clear Lake this year as being about 2 months behind schedule but its coming. I release 99.9% of my fish but my 6 year old daughter wanted me to bring a few home for the plate, she loves fresh fish and loves watching me clean them, I took what I thought were 2 males, one about 1.5 lbs and one about 2 lbs, I get them home and clean them and they had eggs, these fish were healthy but did not have belly's like a female would with eggs, I felt kind of bad after I openened them up. Yes I kill about 2 fish out of about 400-600 bass I catch a year so don't hate:)
One more tid bit, a 17 team tourney fished out of the Oaks and it was won by a husband/wife team on Senkos, big fish 8.5 lbs that was cought by the wife:)

Report: Fishing has been good 10-15 fish a day on rip baits and fluks most fish 1-2 lbs all shallow 1-10ft
City: rosevilleTips: Rig your fluk with one split shot on the hook and leave the hook exposed and cover more water!
-
-
Oroville Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Wife and I fished the first of the weekly evening jack pot tourneys out of Spillway launch. She boated 8 nice spots with a fat 17.5" er for the win. She got'em on Grn. Pmkn. Senko's wackey rigged. 12'-15' depth. Her best five were over 12 lbs. A great limit for Oroville. I stubbornly stayed with tubes and worms and got a few bites but nothing in the boat.
We had a blast!
City: OrovilleTips: Strikes were very light so pay close attention to line movement. Main body points seemed to produce best for her. Be willing to throw what the fish want not what you want!
