      Water Temp: 65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out of Holland and ran to the south side side. Started fishing at 8 a.m. Had my limit by 9:30. Two 3 pounders and three 1 pounders. All on bleeding spinnerbaits. Didn't have anymore bites until about 3 hours later. Then caight one more 1 pounder. My fishing partner also caught a 2 pounder. Those two fish were on watermelon senkos.
      City: El Sobrante

Tips: The water is warming up now so the fish are getting more active now. The spinnerbait bite is picking up. We threw jigs, crankbaits, worms, lizards, craws, everything. Only caught them on spinnerbaits and senkos. They are right inside the tules so if your baits isn't hitting the tules, they wont touch it.

      Water Temp: 70-75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Managed to make it out 2 days this week. Went out on Sunday and got to fish a few hours before the biggest rain storm i had ever seen came through and soaked me from head to toe!Sun- Starting fishing at around 4:30 in the after noon..Lots of boat traffic so headed to some back copves for calmer water...Found 74 degree water and starting throwing spooks right off the bat, caught 8 fish in about 45 minutes including a 6.7 pound largemouth.Caught a few more on a shakey head then the rain came. then on 5-06 hit the water at about 1:00 p.m. and off at 8:30 and caught at least 40 fish but NOTHING over 2 pounds. caught them on dropshot, shakey head, spook, senkos, and a few on cranks. Most fish were shallow(under 8 feet) but did catch fish in up to 18 ft. the fish were schooled up big time. If you found one you more then likely found 8 or 10 fish. mainly fished sloping banks with small rock. Concentrated on flats..Saw a lot of fish cruising but they were very skittish. All main body.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Fish are VERY active...Really no need to fish very slow. Fish were chasing bait and seemed to be agreesive. Fish up tight, and look for shade if you can...Mudlines created by wakeboarding boats are clutch for senko fishing too.

Moved up the south fork and kept at it, two more dinks.
Switched to rattle traps, fire tigers and craw dad colors. two more.
Had a friend tow me close to the ramp after engine trouble and my friend nailed six smallies along the bank on drop shot.
Hopefully I can get my motor fixed and I'll be out there again.

      Water Temp: 58-70!!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Did you see that temp difference? From the oaks to above Shag Rock I found that much of difference, but those temps did not go up as I went south they were all over the place, very strange to me. OK, had my 4 year old and 6 year old in the boat so got about a solid 4 hrs of fishing out of 8 hrs on the water for a total of 8 hrs of fishing in 2 days, alot of swimming and eating:) Got 9 fish to 3.5 lbs on Mon drop shotting 4 inch worms, most were in a magic depth of 10-11 feet, I found fish in 8-30 feet but only the ones in 10-11 would eat for some reason, I did get a 3.5 bed fish, not the biggest girl but she was in 3 feet in the tulies right were she would be behind a under water wall out of the current & wind, out of 9 fish 2 were in 3 feet the rest 10-11 feet. Monday was 8 fish for 4 hrs also drop shotting also same depth. I did rip for about 30 minutes and cranked for about 45 minutes and did get one on the DT 10.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Find 65 plus deg water and look for fish in 10-11 feet, you may have to look around but you will find it, 6 lb line wacky rigged 4 inch worms, I will not say the color, got a tourney coming up:)but hey lets face it, I don't think it will be won on a drop shot but who knows its been a stange spring but its picking up, I would sum up Clear Lake this year as being about 2 months behind schedule but its coming. I release 99.9% of my fish but my 6 year old daughter wanted me to bring a few home for the plate, she loves fresh fish and loves watching me clean them, I took what I thought were 2 males, one about 1.5 lbs and one about 2 lbs, I get them home and clean them and they had eggs, these fish were healthy but did not have belly's like a female would with eggs, I felt kind of bad after I openened them up. Yes I kill about 2 fish out of about 400-600 bass I catch a year so don't hate:)
One more tid bit, a 17 team tourney fished out of the Oaks and it was won by a husband/wife team on Senkos, big fish 8.5 lbs that was cought by the wife:)

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Wife and I fished the first of the weekly evening jack pot tourneys out of Spillway launch. She boated 8 nice spots with a fat 17.5" er for the win. She got'em on Grn. Pmkn. Senko's wackey rigged. 12'-15' depth. Her best five were over 12 lbs. A great limit for Oroville. I stubbornly stayed with tubes and worms and got a few bites but nothing in the boat.

      We had a blast!
      City: Oroville

Tips: Strikes were very light so pay close attention to line movement. Main body points seemed to produce best for her. Be willing to throw what the fish want not what you want!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Sunday morning for short 2 and half hr in the morning. Started drop shop can not get a bite. Switch to Jig and fish across side hoping to get that Hog again. No chance to see the big one again but I caught 4 total with the biggest one close to 3lb. Pitch in the jig under the trees and dead sticking in there. They will hit it as soon as it gets there. Use heavy line because you need to pull the fish out hard.
      City: Fremont

Tips: Jig with some attractant so the fish won't let go. trust me it does make difference. And u get a better time to hook. How's the island pond? anybody have any idea? Frog bite on yet?

      Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Spent 4 days on Pit arm with 13 other fishermen on houseboat out of Silverthorn Marina. Wind blew hard every day but fish were still biteing. I went to 1/4 ounce jig heads to get gitzits and worms down in the wind, fish were picking bait up off the bottom plenty of fish.
      City: Penn Valley

Tips: fish sinkos, gitzets, rubber worms, patience throw to bank and let bait sink to bottom before starting your retrive. Most strikes occur on the fall. fish topwater at dusk with pop-r or something similar. water is low but still fantastic fishing. Hope this helps Brandon.

      Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Just a reminder that the next Jason Fisher Memorial Vocational Scholarship tournament is coming up May 17th. It's take a kid fishing time guys. A 3rd team member is allowed as long as they are 15 or under. If more of you don't start bringing kids, I might make it mandatory that there is a junior in the boat for the June and July tournies.
      City: Trinity Center

Tips: Trinity is pretty much on fire for those in the know. The fish have moved shallow and are munching. Remember there is a 2 fish limit right now, and I have it on good authority that enforcement has being stepped up.

      Water Temp: 67.5

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This past weekend I got to the lake late Friday afternoon. I set off to my
favorite cove for the late bite. I threw my chugger at least fifty times until
I got my first top-water fish and then for about an hour (from 8 to 9 PM) every
cast was action. The following day I went out with my wife and we used plastics
only for the bass. We caught a few and lost a few. The bite was tough because
the bass are on their nests and did not have any interest in feeding but only in
protecting the nests and teased us by moving the lines before we could set
the hook. I went out later in the evening with my friend Albert and we had better
luck. Once again I was looking for that evening top-water bite but nothing happened
until around 8:30 PM. I was throwing a chugger and Albert was throwing a Zaro Spook
and we just kept hitting fish. We landed a limit in no time. Fish were jumping all
around us but not all bass. During the day light Albert threw Cast Masters at the
boiling fish and they turned out to be trout. Hooking them was no problem for Albert
but he had a hard time landing them. It turned out to be a great night (see photos).
Sunday I went out for a couple of hours on my own. The wind had picked up and I
decided to troll most of the morning. I used a crankbait that only went down about
two feet and hooked up around nineteen trout. The water temperature ranged from
65 to 67.5 degrees. If next weekend is warmer, I look forward to a great fishing
weekend. In the photo Albert is holding an eight pound catfish. 'til next week..............

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water about 6:30a.m. out of marlkley cove, we started in the 5mph and caught a few on dartheads shallow. We moved to wragg and caught a few spots outside the weed lines and from there went to the vineyard with no sucess. went about halfway up putah creek and found a cove with solid 2.5 lm and a couple smallies mixed in. wind picked up so we went back to the narrows before it got to rough. We found most of the fish were near the backs of cuts with grass and on the sides of points with chunk rock and a weedline. best five around 13lbs.off the water at 3 p.m. and bot traffic was picking up.
      City: knightsen,ca

Tips: Best bite today was on darter heads 0 to 15 feet and best worm was fat body robo worm 6" orange crusher. ;ine seemed to make a difference with the clear water, I was throwing 6lb yo-zuri and my partener was throwing 8lb they definately bit the rig with 6lb by 4to1.
