Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Caught about 13 greenbacks and 2 nice smallies in the Warm Springs arm mostly on shaky heads in 5 to 15ft. Biggest was 5.2 about a 16 -17lb. limit. Good midday bite!
      City: Cotati

      Water Temp: 52-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: We fished the Warm Springs arm. We caught about 20 fish. No hot lure but a mix of splitshot 4 inch worms, blades, ripbaits, senkos, and swimbaits. We caught fish from the bank to 15 feet. Best five went mabey 12lbs
      City: South San Francisco

Tips: Drag the splitshot on the points and through senkos into the cover. If the wind picks up they will eat the spinnerbait. The blade fish were better quality.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Hey Dave-It was windy, but not too bad. About 20-25mph, off and on. Anyways, got three, and missed a lot of bites. Main lake around trees on weightless senko in dark colors, one on blue/blk jig in Yorty. All fish 5-10ft of water.
      City: San Anselmo

Tips: Try and get back in the coves, out of wind. Keep the line tight.

      Water Temp: 58-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished this lake for the first time with my buddy from AMR, Gerald Thompson from 8A-5P. We cruised the lake in his boat, and we did very well. He drop-shotted a prism shad roboworm on the banks, and caught 20 bass with an average weight of 2# to my 12. I used primarily Senkos: Natural Shad, Smoke, Pearl with Gold/Black, Pearl with Blue FLake, and Smoke with Copper/Green/Purple flake. I lost a larger fish in the large cove on the eastern side of the lake. I switched over to Drop-Shotting later and caught one fish, but all Gerald was doing was throwing right on the bank, and SLOWLY moving the worm back. I was definitely inpressed with the action, since most was in 1-6' of water, and the temp was still only 60 Degrees!
      City: Merced, CA

Tips: Gerald showed me the way...drop shot Prism Shad with a 3/8 round weight and circular hook 2/0...throw up on the edge..wiggle and wait. The south end under the bridge was good as well.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched off of 8 Mile road just out of Stocton and stayed within 5 miles of it for the morning. Started early and got nathan on top. Went down with spinners and swims and still didnt do to well. Finally worked a floating deep diving excaliber crank in shad and picked up a few. Dad got some on 4 inch worms splitshoting. Pretty poor for the Delta, Any suggestions would be appriciated for a newer ficherman

      Tips: Could use some.

      Water Temp: 58-60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 1 pm - sunset. Fishing was ok for me. Caught my limit of LM, and only one SM. Caught some of them on 4" dropshot warmouth in about 5'-10' of water when I first got there. Bite died down in the afternoon. I switched over to cranks in the evening and caught a few more. Smally was caught on the crank (and they would not touch a 4" worm?). Did try bit jerk bait for a little while hoping for a bigger fish with no luck. Fish were still where the below post found them.
      City: Elk Grove

Tips: I see a lack of posts at Pardee, if you are one of those fishermen that check these fishing reports and don't post yourself, be a team player and post...

      Water Temp: 56-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Approaching cold front. Cool weather, 45 deg, at 7:30am. Lake is full, ramps all open. Water in good shape, not much debris and clarity is good. Easy to make out bottom in 6ft. Fished shallow, moving slowly along banks with worms on C rig or Drop Shot. 6 or 8 boats fishing Johnson and saw a few guys sitting on beds. Slow start, bite seemed to pick up after 10am.
      City: Santa Barbara

Tips: April 22-23 is an Annual Trout Derby. There will be large crowds. Ramps will be congested with slow launch/retreive boaters. RV park fills up the Tue or Wed before the weekend.

      Water Temp: high 50s

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Cliff Croxall of Benicia, CA and I fished the April 2&3 weekdays to find a very tough bite. We only caught about 15 or so bass to 3 lbs in two full days of fishing. We fished the lake from south to north. We threw texas rigged sweet beavers and 6" senkos primarily at the bank. The fish that bit were very aggressive but far and few between. With the shallow bite pretty shakey, we tried our luck on the offshore stucture with jigs and carolina rigs, but no fish. The air temps were still in the 30s in the am and I think the fish were just not up yet. I bet in a couple of weeks with the full moon cycle due, it will go off. Just missed it this time around.
The positives were that I got to GPS several offshore spots and stay at the Ferndale resort in soda bay.
      City: San Diego, CA

Tips: wait for the full moon and warmer air temps

      Water Temp: $7-50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Sat April 5th is the next Jason Fisher Memorial Tournament. I'll be taking sign-ups starting at 5 at the Trinity Center Ramp. $40.00 entry fee gets you a $5.00 Smallmouth Lunker and a $5.00 LM entry. Bring kids! I'll have a separate weigh-in for the kid's biggest fish, and I'll have some great tackle box prizes for all kids who fish. This is a fun tournament and it supports a great cause, so give me a call 530-623-4352.
      City: Weaverville

Tips: I got out today for the first time in what seems like months. Even though the water has cooled from a couple of weeks ago, the fish have moved pretty shallow and are munching crankbaits. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to figure that out. Now you know where to start.

      Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched from Ladd's at 8 a.m. and man was it cold. Headed for 14 mile slough and caught a 1.5 on the first cast. Well you know what that meant - next bite came 2 1/2 hrs. later. As the tide rose and it warmed up some the fish started to respond a little bit but not what I was hoping for. Caught 11 fish up to 5.9 but the next biggest was just 2.5. No real pattern to speak of, just threw everything in the box at them - 5" senko worked the best, two on a jig and three on a white spinnerbait and that was it. It really hasn't turned on for me yet this year, seems like it's still a little on the cold side. None of the fish caught today showed any signs of spawning, their tails looked brand new.

Report: Got 3 rippin in the first hour around rock piles. Picked up a 3lb smallie on drop shot in about 4' water. 1 swim bait fish and a few other tail tappers. Couple other bites came on drop shot. Is there a free launch anywhere?

Report: Worked the bank to 30' from Granite Bay to almost Beals point from ten to noon. Son got a 2# largemouth using a nightcrawler. Think he hit the fish on the head. Nothing more for him and a total zero for me.
      City: Folsom, CA

Tips: Keep trying everything in the box.
