      Water Temp: 46-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Watch out for the debre in the lake. It is what we deal with when the lake is rising almost a foot a day. Now at 744ft. elevation, it is a long way from the top but at least it is coming up. Tuesday's trip was another 20+ bass day. The bass came from inside coves, points and walls leading into coves. We missed a lot of soft bites and had severl break off. Bites came on Paradise Tackle jigs in the brown and green, on gitzits in craw, green/blk, green/red and clr/sparkle. Bucketmouth worms in the Oroville craw color also provided some bites.
      City: Paradise

Tips: The bass are in the coves, walls leading into the coves and on points. Lots of bass still suspending from 20ft, to 50ft.

Water Temp: 49 to 53 or so

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Just a reminder that this Saturday is the Bass Busters of Yuba City Spring Invitational at Lake Oroville. $80.00 entry and $10.00 big fish. Sign up at the dam 4 to 5.30. These guys put on a great tournament and it doesn't cost a fortune to fish it. In fact, you could probably fish this out of an aluminum boat if it had a live well. Should be a good day and fishing has picked up. If you need more info call Joe at 530-790-7011. See you there
      City: Paradise

Tips: Watch for debris, there is some big stuff floating especially on the West Side. As for fishing, well you'll have to find your own.

      Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched my boat last Friday for the first time this year to make sure everything was working good. On the first crank it started right up and proceeded to the Dam and caught a beautiful 3.5 prespawn smallie on a brwn/org crawdad pattern crankbait. The water was really clear at the Dam but still cold. Went into Cherry(water stained) throwing jigs, swimbaits and crankbaits with no success. Tried the same patterns up Dry Creek with no takers and then headed back to main lake and cranked a 4lb.LM on the same bait. Went back to Dam and cranked a 2.5 LM on a red crawdad speed trap and called it a day at 12 noon. Like the previous report the reaction baits worked best but when the water warms the senko, worm and swimbait bite should bust wide open.
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: The Redwood Empire Bass Club is welcoming new members both boaters and non boaters to fish our tournaments with us. Please join us at our next meeting On April 9th at 7p.m. at the Rohnert Park Community Center at the corner of Rohnert Park Expressway and Snyder Lane. Our guest speaker will be Pat Wilson from Penngrove. Pat has fished over 30 Tournaments as a co-angler in the FLW Series and has won five tournaments and over $116,000 in career earnings since 2000. He will be sharing all his winning techniques he has used fishing as a backseater. Our next Tournament will be at Clear Lake on April 19th and I expect someone will weigh in a 30lb. limit. Water Temp: 58-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: All the reports ive been reading have been keepin me away from here.Cold muddy no visibility etc. MY buddy and I just wanted to get the boat in the water so we really were expecting the worse. As soon as we drove over the bridge I could tell the water was clear. dropped in ran the boat to warm her up and headed for main lake across from the marina. A tuber said he was cathchin smallies on a shad rap. We crancked ratte traps and misc.cranckbaits. Broke a nice one off on a bluegill DT 16 it was a strong fish. Followed with a senko and pulled a 2lb smallie. we tried alot of different stuff in the same area but nothing .my partner lost one on a 3/8 jig in shallow water. We went to warm spring side to try some feeder creeks. One lost fish all the way back in the creek that was a senko fish I had hooked and reeled and then nothing. Didnt even feel it shake off. We decided to try some rock piles that have done well in the past. I immediately hooked up on strike king #3 bleeding shad. My partner hooked up a4lber on a flat DT-10 shad pattern his first good fish of the year. High fives were in the air. Wished we had more time but the trolling motor battery wasnt charged fully oops. We had a good time but cut short I think we coulg of had a pattern goin but when a battery is dead what do ya do.

      Water Temp: 49-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the Sac arm, Pitt, and main body points this past Saturday and Sunday. Hard to find a group of fish, they still seem to be scattered. Did find a few groups, but not all of them were feeding. Very few fish at the shore, most were in 30 to 40 feet of water and just off the bottom. We caught approx 45 fish between two of us and largest was 2.5 lbs. on a spinnerbait. The fish don't seem to be in a reaction mode, except for a few fish every so often.
      City: Rough and Ready, Ca

Tips: We used spinnerbaits, wacky rigged senko's, hula grubs, money minnows, jerk baits, and drifted live minnows. The senko's probably worked the best followed by the minnows and then the spinnerbait.

      Water Temp: 58 thru 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Easter weekend was just perfect at the lake. The weather was great, the water
was clear and the fish were biting. Friday I headed out to the vineyards at 11:30
with my wife. We had a limit by 1:00. We were both using brass and glass with a
5' senko (I keep telling you it works!!!). After she brought in her second fish, I
figured why should I be stubborn I switched to her color senko and sure enough I
started to catch fish. The conditions were perfect and I followed my own advice.
On Saturday I took Tom and Tony out for the day. We trolled from the ranch
house to the vineyards with no success. We fished the vineyards for over two
hours with no bites. No matter what bait we tried..........zilch!! What a difference
a day makes. I decided to try my favorite cove. I had Tom and Tony start by
bouncing a split-shot and minnow on the bottom. The first two fish that were
caught were under size. You should have seen their faces when I let those two
fish go. The bite picked up and we began to enjoy ourselves. They landed two
good size crappies and a limit of bass (see photos). At about 1:30 I threw a brass
and glass with my wife's favorite color senko into a recess in the rocks and was hit
immediately by this five pound four ounce bass (see photo). After taking two
pictures, I released the fish and I thought Tom and Tony were going to jump over
board to grab it. They were happy with all the fish that they were going to take
home. Sunday my wife and I went to my favorite cove for a couple of hours. We
both used the brass and glass with the senko and landed a few nice fish no size to
speak of. All in all it was a good fishing weekend and I hope it continues to get
better and better. 'ti next week......................................good fishing!!!!!!!!

Report: Finally got a chance to get out and decided on the Delta. Started at Franks at 7:30am hit a few spots for nada. Started fishing Old River and found some clearer water. We ended the day with 7 fish all were about in the 2#s. Fished mostly rock with sparse tulles on them and all looked like males. All were caught on Dark colored Senkos but lost a few on Pitching jigs. We tried spinnerbaits, Plugs and some top water stuff but got nada. We only fished the Outgoing tide. Beautiful Day!
      City: So San Francisco

Tips: All I can say is find a difference in water color and have some patients. Fish were hitting light. The last four fish were caught in the last two hours of the tide. I lost a few pitching jigs in Black and Blue color. Add a little weight when the tide moving fast.

      Water Temp: Hi 50's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Somedays you do good, somedays you can't buy a fish. My fishing buddy went out on Tuesday with another friend. He fished Frank's and caught 5 bass in less than an hour - 8+, 6, 4, 2, and 2. Like my previous report, the stretch that he fished was less than a 100 yards.
      City: Dixon

Tips: I keep seeing people criticizing other people's fishing reports over the years. That's why many people don't post their reports. I use to post all my trips but only post occassionally now and then because I don't want to be called a liar when I have an exceptional day and someone has a s*(@^* day. If you don't like what you read, go to another site.
