Water Temp: 53-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Ditto to Jan Wilson's report. We fished Monday and Tuesday and had the same fishing conditions. We fished the Pit Arm and Squaw Creek.
Tips: We used dart heads and split shot. More fish came on the dart heads. Any color that included some Blue.
-
Water Temp: 49-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Sac arm, Pitt, and main body points this past Saturday and Sunday. Hard to find a group of fish, they still seem to be scattered. Did find a few groups, but not all of them were feeding. Very few fish at the shore, most were in 30 to 40 feet of water and just off the bottom. We caught approx 45 fish between two of us and largest was 2.5 lbs. on a spinnerbait. The fish don't seem to be in a reaction mode, except for a few fish every so often.
City: Rough and Ready, CaTips: We used spinnerbaits, wacky rigged senko's, hula grubs, money minnows, jerk baits, and drifted live minnows. The senko's probably worked the best followed by the minnows and then the spinnerbait.

Water Temp: 58 thru 60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Easter weekend was just perfect at the lake. The weather was great, the water
was clear and the fish were biting. Friday I headed out to the vineyards at 11:30
with my wife. We had a limit by 1:00. We were both using brass and glass with a
5' senko (I keep telling you it works!!!). After she brought in her second fish, I
figured why should I be stubborn I switched to her color senko and sure enough I
started to catch fish. The conditions were perfect and I followed my own advice.
On Saturday I took Tom and Tony out for the day. We trolled from the ranch
house to the vineyards with no success. We fished the vineyards for over two
hours with no bites. No matter what bait we tried..........zilch!! What a difference
a day makes. I decided to try my favorite cove. I had Tom and Tony start by
bouncing a split-shot and minnow on the bottom. The first two fish that were
caught were under size. You should have seen their faces when I let those two
fish go. The bite picked up and we began to enjoy ourselves. They landed two
good size crappies and a limit of bass (see photos). At about 1:30 I threw a brass
and glass with my wife's favorite color senko into a recess in the rocks and was hit
immediately by this five pound four ounce bass (see photo). After taking two
pictures, I released the fish and I thought Tom and Tony were going to jump over
board to grab it. They were happy with all the fish that they were going to take
home. Sunday my wife and I went to my favorite cove for a couple of hours. We
both used the brass and glass with the senko and landed a few nice fish no size to
speak of. All in all it was a good fishing weekend and I hope it continues to get
better and better. 'ti next week......................................good fishing!!!!!!!!

California Delta

Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Finally got a chance to get out and decided on the Delta. Started at Franks at 7:30am hit a few spots for nada. Started fishing Old River and found some clearer water. We ended the day with 7 fish all were about in the 2#s. Fished mostly rock with sparse tulles on them and all looked like males. All were caught on Dark colored Senkos but lost a few on Pitching jigs. We tried spinnerbaits, Plugs and some top water stuff but got nada. We only fished the Outgoing tide. Beautiful Day!
City: So San FranciscoTips: All I can say is find a difference in water color and have some patients. Fish were hitting light. The last four fish were caught in the last two hours of the tide. I lost a few pitching jigs in Black and Blue color. Add a little weight when the tide moving fast.

Water Temp: Hi 50's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Somedays you do good, somedays you can't buy a fish. My fishing buddy went out on Tuesday with another friend. He fished Frank's and caught 5 bass in less than an hour - 8+, 6, 4, 2, and 2. Like my previous report, the stretch that he fished was less than a 100 yards.
City: DixonTips: I keep seeing people criticizing other people's fishing reports over the years. That's why many people don't post their reports. I use to post all my trips but only post occassionally now and then because I don't want to be called a liar when I have an exceptional day and someone has a s*(@^* day. If you don't like what you read, go to another site.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Well, this is what you go to the delta for. Started in the tract and picked up 3 fish up to 5 pounds on the jig, but the bite was pretty slow overall. So, we moved to the Venice area and my buddy hits an 11 even on a rip rap bank with scattered weeds. Then we start pitching the jig and it was lights out. My buddy Chris at Fishin Magician Tackle is working on a jig and I was throwing the prototype Sat. This jig is gonna be huge when he markets it. I just hope it's not too soon as I want it to be a secret for the spring bite. Between this and the VooDoo, he will have the best jig and chatter type bait on the market. As a favor to him, I'll let you know that the black VooDoo with a black trailer is awesome in the low light conditions, night fishing and stained water. We finished up in the tract and nailed another dozen or so in the last hour. Best 5 went 29'6.
Tips: Just about what ever you have confidence in right now will work. Just throw it. Don't be afraid to slow down a little for the bigger fish. Big fish don't tend to move as much as the smaller fish, but they are more terratorial. Thus, they really don't like a big bait hanging out in their space for a long period of time.

Report: My brotherand I got out at Lads and finally left late between noon and 1. I got 3 for the day a 2, a 1, and 1 that was <1. Tried crankin a speed trap shallow with no luck, finally went to a Senko and caught all three in the same area within 30min of each other off a point. After that we saw someone land at least a 5 pounder with a spinner in a marina so my brother switched drom the lizzard he was throwin to a spinner but we could'nt find them after that. Did'nt go where I wanted to go but I caught a few so it was a great day!

Report: With no disrespect meant by this post to Plastic Man 1 but I have to break the news to you. Plastic Man 1, my report is not "b.s.", it is the "real deal", it is absolutely "true as they happen". In fact, the lady at Holland took a picture of my 9er. You just had a bad day on the Delta. I am sorry you had a bad day but we all have had many ourselves but I never assume that I am the master of fishing. And no one else can do better than I. :) I was on the water by 2:00 and had my limit by 4:00. Four of the fish came off of one bank. The nine pounder came off of another bank and one tule on that bank. Not many bites but boy were they quality! The two larger fish were my personal best. It was a great day!
Tips: Again, they are still staging. This is a chance to get a very large fish or two or three. :)

Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well here's the skinny on my trip out of Ladd's today. Worked the 14 mile slough area and it was SLOW, and SLOWER as the day wore on. Couldn't come up with any kind of pattern. Had 7 bites and managed only 4 fish, the biggest was only 2.5 and down from there. Tried senkos, spinnerbaits, tubes, and jigs and just couldn't make anything happen. Tried all my favorite spots but they avoided me like the plague. The senko was the only bait that worked.
City: Stkn.Tips: Not today
