Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Could not stay away from Amador after my trip last week. Did not think it could get any better, but it did. Caught 73 bass today, all on a dropshot rig with Robo worms. Did not catch anything larger than 4 pounds but did catch more 3 and 4 pounders today. Many more bed fish this week and with the clear water it made for a fun day. Found one bank with 10 bed fish on it. Did see some large fish in the coves.
      City: Rancho Cordova

Tips: I have fished this lake for 25 years and have never caught this many fish. Only saw one other bass boat all day. Caught fish on rock and clay banks from shore to 10 feet deep. Hit this lake now before it gets busy.

Report: Went our with Floor Guy my side kick. We were just having fun. Hit the out going tide in the afternoon and fished for 2 plus hours. Not really being real serious and caught five fish. Five minutes before we were done landed a 12.5 lbs. It was my p.b. and I have only been fishing for 6 months in the delta.

Tips: Used speed trap crank bait and stuck with it.

      Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 3 times in the last 2 weeks. We did alright on the reaction early. Last time out was the most useful. We caught 3 rippin early on rock piles in about 5 feet of water. Shad pattern seemed to work best. The rest of the day was much slower than we anticipated. Caughht just a handful draging worms. All in all not the numbers I expected.
      City: Sactown

Tips: All the reaction fish were actually decent and up to 3.0 pounds. The worm fish, as expected were much smaller. Shad reaction pattern and green worms.

      Water Temp: 61

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Tough, Tough, Tough. Eastman rarely lets me down. This trip... she let me down. Water temp was good, lots of algea, and zero fish. Fished both shallow and deeper water. Fished some structure but didn't get anything. Talked to many guys that were saying it was real slow. Still a taste early not to mention cold front passed through. Fished for 2 1/2 days! Hey, this thing is about to break loose at any moment! And when she does, Eastman is the best!
      City: Monterey

Tips: I caught nothing... do you really want a tip from me? Although Senkos, grubs and jigs all work GREAT at this lake.

      Water Temp: 62.3

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: At 3:00,I looked around for warmer water and found it at Ski Cove (a smaller version..but the water is rising). Way in the back...I fished along the tree tops in 20' of water, and nailed 2 4 pounders and a couple of slot sized bass. The two larger ones had mangled tails, and were fattened up. I caught them on Natural Shad Senkos-5"..and they crushed them!!! I cruised all the way in and never saw any holes or nests as of yet. Later I fished along the rocky ank of the dam..and took 8 more fish..including a 12 inch Silver Salmon...6 on a Natural Shad Senko, and 2 on a smoke and blake flake Senko...I never saw any fish shallow, but lots of baitfish. ALL fish were caught on shelves leading from 10-12 foot water to 25-30' water.
      City: Merced, CA

Tips: Look for pockets of warm water. Fish are definitely suspending near structure. I saw lots of fish jumping, and allalong cottonwood, ski cove, and the banks from the dam all the way to Cottonwood have trees and submerged structure. It was nice to see some normal fishing, and the fish look healthy and fat. Water is rising. This is getting to be Senko Time..and I fish wacky style. Get some O-Rings..cause you're going to lose quite a few!!

Watch out for the Sheriff's Patrol. They pulled us over for going too fast near the house boats. We were outside the bouys, but were still within 150 feet from the houseboats, coming out of the McClure Boat Launch.

My buddy and I fished the Franks Track area all day because of the wind. In the morning, there was an outgoing tide. The water is still muddy but the temperature was up to 58

Tips: We could see other fisherman having success with other techniques. One person said, he fished a reaction bait all day with good success (I don

      Water Temp: low 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: On the water at 7:00A. Was trying to fish the Mokelumne but it was windy. By 10:30A, my fishing buddy had caught 1 keeper size fish and a bunch of small ones while I didn't get one bite. Decided to hide out in Hog Slough. Within 90 minutes, we caught 12 keeper size bass. Best 5 - 20+ lbs. One of the 5- lbers looked like she has just fished spawning while the other 5+ lber was still full of eggs.
      City: Dixon

Tips: Fished 1/2 oz Rat L Trap in the weeds. Bites were light. Pay full attention when casting with the wind -- lost 3 lures on levee rocks yesterday because I was b'sing and not paying full attention.

Ran up Victoria way fished the low tide red crank on out side weed line produced five 2lb. rats .

Off the water at 5:00pm I did not see one crusier or bed fish most water down south is still muddy but I did find clear water up old river back behind the island out of the current spot looks prim but no takers.

      City: Tracy

Tips: I have no clue been fishing this river for a few years n ow and I am no expert but I tried my tried and tested true tricks today and just could not get on the bigger fish. Water Temp: cold

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: decided to hit up collins again, as i heard the water was clearing up. it cleared up a little but not as much as i would have like. Stained, 4-5 feet vis. Water is still really cold. As their was a little bit of a north wind in the morning i decided to fish an area where i thought the wind might push some baitfish into. I started my day fishing the dam at about 7. Using a stacy 90, ripped one on my second cast. Had 7 in the boat within first 30 minutes. Most small, biggest 2.5. For some reason we decided to move off of the damn (buddy in back of boat didnt have same model rip bait, fish only interested in stacy). Fished rubber on entire east side and rock walls, (senkos, grub, worm). Not even one bite on rubber the entire day, fished shallow, deep, slow, fast, etc. Tried other reaction baites, spinner and crank bait, but no hits. Every once in a while id pick up the rod with the stacy and wham, another fish, why i didnt throw it all day i dont know. Caught between 15-20 fish overall, nothing over 2.5. most around 1.5. , mostly spots a few largemouth. Buddy in back of boat caught O.
      City: davis

Tips: Buy a stacy model 90. shad color or clear. Bite was on all day, not just typical morning rip bait. Fish damn, points, and areas with large boulders.
