Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I guided a father-son team, new to bass fishing, on Sat. I agree with the previous report - fishing was surprisingly slow - I think we landed only 9 or 10 bass. One surprise was a near 4 lb largemouth that took a Senko in about 5 feet of water near a bush in the narrows. She was pretty skinny - not a good sign. Fishing is tough anyway on a weekend. My clients caught their bass split-shotting purple ghost worms and I caught a few drop-shotting a shad colored Yamamoto 4" Kut Tail worm. I think the lake had a north wind on Friday and that could have made the fishing a little tough.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I would like to thank another polite "bass boat captain" that came within 50-60 feet of our boat doing at least 65 mph. That guy set bass fishing back about 50 years in the eyes of the father in my boat. That seems to happen a lot at Berryessa - maybe just to me? I see bass boats breaking 5 mph speed limits all the time - it seems only at Berryessa. I hope we can clean up our act before it is too late!

Report: Fished in same tournament as Capt Jack. I started off on main lake points throwing super spook. Caught first 3 keepers first hour. Fished cracks in north fork and bridges rest of day. Ended up with 10 over 13 inchs. Was fishing for big bite all day . Jigs big worms and top water. Big bite never came but had a great time catching and releasing with culmright.
      City: orangevale

Tips: Fish seem to still be in summer pattern. I didn't catch 2 fish in the same spot. Top water and deep crank baits in shad pattern worked. Dart head worms off steep walls. Lots of bait and small bass in 40 foot of water use electronics. We would drop shot and find out they were little and move on. Never found big bite.

Report: Some water was clear and some had mud lines. Fished our club Tourament Basin Bass Masters from Loomis. Out at safe sun light and back in at 3:00pm. Most of our fish were 12 inches or less , dragging worms, lizards, leaches, cranking and dropshoted. Our one and only can dropshot at the bridge in 55 ft with a morning dawn. The winners were spinner bait and cranking in the windy points. Yes stay deep and slow.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the Elk Grove Bass Tournament on Saturday. We caught 25 or more fish all about 12 inches. Almost all of our fish came drop shotting 4" worms in 30 feet of water in the trees. We did find some fish with Hula grubs on rocky points. We ended up with only 4 fish to weigh in for 4th place. Robin and Joe took 1st place with 5 fish and big fish! Way to go!

Tips: Work the areas where you find wood cover near main lake points. 30 to 40 foot depths is where we found most of our fish. Go see the guy's at Phil's, they are a great help and really enjoy what they do!

      Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: launched out of capells @6:30a and was the only one there, i guess that was a sign..air temp was a very cool 52 with a cooler breeze..sun came out around 11, as it finally warmed up..fished til 3 with 11 fish total, including 3 dinky-dinks and 1 bluegill..the rest were bass of the 12-14" variety. fished about 8 different spots with 2 of them holding fish that were relating to bait. could only entice a few to bite in each spot, even tho' i know there were many below. keeper fish were on plastics in the 15-20ft depth. the smaller fish hit jerk and crank. only saw one other bass boat and he said it was a zero day for him...we both blamed the full moon.
      City: orinda

Tips: this definitely is a time to use your graph..fish will be plenty in some areas and other areas will = zero..didn't fish the main body, as it was too cold in the a.m.(i know, i'm a wuss) and when it got warmer, a strong southernly came out with the sun..but i think the cooler nights have prompted some of the fish to come up shallower than normal for this time of the year. hope this helps...good fishn

Report: Hey guys check out this link:
      https://www.rokbass.com

It is literally an untapped bass fishing country. YIIPPEEE!!!!!! Now I need to buy some gear to cover my 2 year tour here. What clued me in to investigate further was a fish market I walked by in Daegu. I saw live bass swimming around in a tank. Boy, did I get really excited. I found out there is a B.A.S.S. Federation Club right here at Camp Walker. I guess I'm not going to go nuts now waiting to go fishing again. When I'm able to I will send fishing reports soon. Cya for now.

Report: Fished the windy Future Pro Tournament on Sat with my partner and caught 5 keepers to bring to the weigh in. Had a little over 7 lbs with the winner bringing in a little over 11 lbs. We dropshotted on the main body most of the day in 30-45ft. I believe the winner dropshotted, dragged jigs, and ripped in creek channels. Had a great day all in all.
      City: Sac

Tips: Dropshot with shad colored roboworms or proworms in the main body and drag brown/purple jigs.

Report: Stained on most of the lake, found some fish at the dam on the rocks in 20-40 ft with light line on split shot and drop shot small worms or a leach. Found some 2.0 pounders in coves with rocks and trees near. Movered deep into 30-40 ft with a 1/2 oz JK jig in brown/brown on the main body off points. Jim Ryan was cranking a small black/silver rapala and picked up a nice smallie. Good Luck Future Pro on Saturday.

      Water Temp: 72-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Hope this helps someone looking for a last minute clue before the Future Pro Tour at Folsom. Fished Sept. 6,8,9,13 and 15 found most fish in 30-40 feet water but some up on the likely rockpiles. Even dropshotted a trout same spot I landed a 3.5-4 lb. spot. All the fish looked real healthy and well-fed as evidenced by their full conformation and wagasakis and threadfin all over the graph and my deck. The fish were mostly caught on drophot rigged worms on light test, but dartheaded worms caught fish, too. Even had a few misses on spook and buzz, early. Stick to the main lake for most consistent success, but I haven't been fishing the five mph zones so I can't advise.
      City: Citrus Heights

Tips: Let drophot worm fall on slack line. I'd give a color but all colors seemed to work. Light line. Move if you don't get bit quickly and don't graph bait. The spots I caught fish like fire last week had bait and fish but the bait moved this week and so did the fish so move frequently to a new likely area. Get after it early too, early last week when we had the thick marine layer, wind and the fish bit through the day, however the dead calm, bluebird days were best early and hit the skids, bigtime.

      Water Temp: 77

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Another "teach the lake" trip today (Wed) with beautiful weather conditions and dead calm or slight chop water conditions. The only problem was that the bass slept in today, but woke up about 8:30 am with a 3 1/4 and 5.0 in the boat. Good start! They both ate a 10" red shad Berkley Power Worm. My client started catching bass too, but they were all in nursery school!! His did start getting bigger ones and he worked up to almost 3 pounds. I'm sure he is saving the "pig" for an upcoming tournament! I havn't been having clients throw frogs much in the south end because of the lack of weeds. I missed one last week on a little lone weed patch I found, so I tried my green Snag Proof frog again on the patch. Nothing happened, but I kept working it out 'cause it was fun. I turned my head for a moment and suddenly felt a big tug. I heard and saw nothing (it takes guts to admit that)! I did work pretty hard landing her and she weighted in at 5 lbs 3 oz. That was fun! I showed him some different spots - explaining what was good about them. After a long run to a new area - as luck would have it, he starting sticking fish on the first cast with Kreature baits and jigs. By the way, that was good guiding - not luck, har!!! We ended the day a little after 3 pm with 27 bass and a nice 18 1/2 lb limit! I wish I could say more about the trip, but he is entitled to some "inside info" for his upcoming tournament.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The "green" lake is now the "brown" lake as some or most of the algae is dying - at least down south. One may need to move around more to locate bass because of increased pressure and changing water conditions. I am still amazed at how high the lake is for mid-Sept. There may be more fish in shallow cover this fall than normal. Remember, the bigger bass still will seek shallows that are near some deep water.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: After reading all the bad reports I had to give it a shot. Thursday on the lake about 4:45 am. Water about 76 and overcast skies. Had 3 fish about 2lbs before first light. Then they hit on buzz bates and top water poppers. At sun up -spinners and rattle traps. Fished until about 2pm. Boated about 25+ fish, most in the 2 to 4 pound size. Six I weighed and measured at 5 to 7 lbs. No Bull. just a lucky day. Saturday not so good - clear skies. Good hits early in the day, died off about 9am or so. About 15 fish - 1/2 to 4 pounders. Sunday good fishing early, 15 fish on crank baits and rattle traps.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Top water deep in the coves 3 feet of water early in the day. Medium to deep runners in the open water work good. If you're into plastic, purple Texas rigged worms work great. Crawdads do good, too.

      Water Temp: 71

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished up North today around Paradise Point Marina and had a pretty good day. Only threw top water. Started off with a prop bait in a fire tiger and did pretty well with it putting about 6 or so in the boat. Right at dark I tied on a white buzzer and got worked over to the tune of about 6 blow ups. Lost one in the weeds about 6-7 lbs. and missed a few more fish but did manage to get a nice 4 lb fish in the boat. Guess I'll blame it on not fishing a buzz bait for a while. They seemed to want it moving just fast enough to stay on top. Most hookups came on rock banks with tules, behind the weedline closest to the bank. On the water about 5pm off by 8:30
      City: Stockton

Tips: Topwater is still hot. I have done well lately on prop baits in open water.
