Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took o rom work at the satellite station around 2:30 and walked in to the back side o the lake to see i anyone was biting. Water looked really good, and there is grass in places it has not been beore. That is good news or this lake. Picked up a 3 and a dink on a blade on the way to the back. Not a bad start. As soon as I got to the end o the lake, I got a pair o twin 4's o o a ence line on a jig. Got to the very back corner where the creek comes in, and caught ish just about every other cast on the blade. Size anywhere rom incerdibly dinky to about 3 lbs. Mostly dinks though. Got tired o throwing the blade(literally) ater probably 20 ish, and started in with the brush hog. Kept catching, but the brush hog was producing less bites, although they were generally bigger with a ew in the 2 lb range. Probably had in the neighborhood o 30-35 ish total, but most were dinky. I let the ish biting at about dark since the lions and coyotes own this place at night.I wish I had a kid to take with me and get him/her hooked on bass. That was the kind o aternoon to do it.
      City: middletown

Tips: I you can ind a concentration o ish on this lake, you can catch them until your arm alls o. Just about any bait will do it. Don't use expensive plastics, because those little ish will break the bank with the way they tear them up. Fish any cover you can ind and you should be severely rewarded, because this lake has very little in the way o good solid cover. Fish this aternoon were on submerged ence posts, and creek channels.

Report: its senko not sinko.....crank baits and senkos are both a drag to ish to me...i cant think o anything more boring than deadsticking a senko but it catches ish and ill do it i its the only way and cranking is almost as boring but it sometimes is the only way to go....to me ishing a good ol texas rigged worm gives me what i want....that bump....the eel o worm ishing is what i love....buzzbaits are close but i love the eel o worm ishing...just some thoughts...im going out tommorrow and ill start with a worm and probably end up cranking, throwing a jig or deadsticking a senko because i need to catch some.last year i was getting like 20-30 stripers a trip on white jigging spoons but this year i cant get much on the spoon...wondering i others have had the same experience
      City: union city

Tips: the only tip i have is to enjoy ishing and im wishing you tournament anglers would make sight ishing illegal in tournaments just as trolling is...personally i dont and never will ish tournaments and i i see a big ish spawning i leave it be and i i happen to catch a big spawning emale i release it right back near its bed...good luck to all

      Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I had several ideas I wanted to try in the last week, but none worked! First, with the warm weather, I went looking or some early largemouths in Jones Valley. They may be there, but none were on my line. Then I tried jig/pig on shallow points, and caught one close to 3#. But to be a pattern , one needs to repeat the eat. Nope. Well, how about suspended ish on pilings? Again, nope. Although my techniques on that may need improvement. To catch ish, I did what has been working or me- steep rock banks using dart-head plastics. Depth 10-30 eet, Mother's Finest #1, #2, (green weenie with more chartreuse), Rainbow #6 (blue ghost), baby brush hog watermelon. About 30 ish Monday or two anglers.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Put on a warm shirt, grabed two sets o rain gear and made my very irst trip ever to this pint size lake or some ish'n and a turkey scout(got a draw or end o a month). Got out o the truck,(rain all day) asked a guy which way i should go he pointed to what i believed to be north? Fished or about an hour nothing. Then, about 8am got bit, and it never really let up, no big'uns, just one every 10-15 minutes or so. Jigs worked best(brown) brushhogs also(pumk).Carolina (4 inch worm) would get bit every time but too many dinks. Fish were rom 1 oot to 20 eet must 5-10 oot area. Look or rocks, muddy banks had no ish grass areas OK. Had no luck on hard baits or spinnerbaits. Didn't put a senko in the water. why? Don't know.(to much wind. thats my story) Quit at 2 or so with 15+ 1/2 to 2.5. Gonna take an extra day during turkey season to ish this lake again. Hope to see better ish then. Other wise, what a cool little lake, so don't tell any one.

      Water Temp: 56ish

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The lake is on right now. It's not diicult to get a limit....or two or three. By the looks o other reports, just about anything will work i you're in the right areas. As or me, I've been tossing reaction baits on main lake points and pre-spawn staging areas and having a great time. Lots o smallies in the mix, some o decent size (2-3lbs).
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: Make hay while the sun shines. You can't get ish i you don't get out there. Grab a kid or someone without access to a boat and go get 'em!

Report: To all youguys that can't ish I would deinenly stick w/ the sinko as it will produce. Everyone else that wants to learn to catch a ish and be sucessul on all water experiment and try and learn how ish reacts to dierent baits. I have been catching a good sacks 20lbs plus evrytime out or the last 2 weeks. The outgoing tde in staging areas either rippin or crankin is easy right now. The jig also is a good choice a little slower than I like but good choice or quality. Bites are very strange right now as posted below. I have switched to a huge pork trailer and they are hanging on to i better. For everyother prto be through that sinko as your lucky it came along.

      Water Temp: 53-57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: In response to the question concerning water clarity in the North end - CLEAR! The nagging question that remains or me, however, is where have all the quality ish gone? Ater seeing some heavy tournament weights the past several weeks, the tournament this past Sunday had surprisingly low weights or some pretty darn good anglers. And we ared no better on Monday. A buddy and I ished rom sunrise to 4:00 PM, with only 8 keepers to show or the day -6 o those in the last hour. We stayed North all day and ished basically the west side, Lakeport, and Rodman. We began throwing blades, swimbaits and rippin' on the west side. Had one quality bass roll on the blade, but missed it completely. Targeted the mouths o deeper canals with the swimbaits, but no takers. Boated one small keeper on a Senko about 9:00 AM, then decided to move to Lakeport. Caught a 3 lber. on a Senko and missed a Fluke ish at Rocky Point. We then headed or Rodman in the hopes o inding a blade or lip bite. MUCH more color in Rodman, but not a bite ater 2 ruitless hours. Moving back to the west side about 2:30 PM, we pulled out the light stu in an attempt to salvage the day. Targeting a major bay, we backed out into about 10' o water and (oh, the horror!) proceeded to dropshot 6 keeper buck bass in the last hour. Bucks are actively cruising, but wouldn't touch any o the reaction baits we oered. So, again I ask -Where have all the ladies gone?
      City: Elk Grove

Tips: With water temps. hitting 57+ in the aternoon and a small ront moving through, we had all the makings o a great day. Well... Lots o small keeper buck bass or the taking - i you're willing to play lightly. Still scratching my head, I'm araid.
