Anderson Lake
-
Water Temp: 72-74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: One o my better days on Anderson. Got a late start - in the water at 1130 and out at 1530 (orced o by wind). Caught 20 ish to 2.5 lbs, all on texas-rig 6" worm (brown/ghost with red lake). All ish were caught in 5-15' pretty much o any point. Bigger ish were on rocky points in the main lake. Lake is down and continuing to drop in prep. or the boat ramp repairs in Sept. I was surprised by the amount o ski boat traic or a Monday - summer must be getting close.
City: San JoseTips: Drop a 6 in. worm in 5-15' o water pretty much o any point. I suspect anything with red lake will work. Get it deep - the ish are hugging the bottom.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I took three fellows to Berryessa Saturday during the 38th cold front of the year. the wind calmed down a bit from 7 to 10 AM but then got very gusty during the rest of the trip. With that problem and all the boating activity, my guys had trouble feeling all the bites and missed several fish, but we still managed to put 15 in the boat with one of the fellows landed a spot a shade over two pounds and a 2 pound largemouth. One of the guys hung a good fish but lost it. Five of our bass were largemouth and three were smallies. We fished the narrows and Wragg Canyon. Because of the cool weather I guess, the fish really didn't move into the mudlines that were forming. They might have after we left. I tried to see if a topwater bite would happen, but only had one boil. We found some fish still in the backs of coves and some on main lake points. The green pumpkin 4" Berkley Pulse Worm was our best bait - the morning dawn Magic worm worked too. Could not get a decent bite on Senkos.
City: Yuba CityTips: Since there were so many in the boat, we didn't try crankbaits. Jigs didn't work either, just worms - at least on Saturday. All of our bass were tournament keepers except three. Did find a few fish already relating to ledges - beginning of summer pattern!!

Report: The lake was closed Thurs & Fri or algeatreatment. There was still copper sulphateloating on the water. We started out by the boat docks limiting out with worms catching planters, we dropped live crawlwers down to the thermal and bam. Then, about 9am we headed around the lake casting or BASS.Tough day or bass, only landed 2. First was a 2lber, Second was a 4.2 lber. We tried all patterns,(spinners, jigs, cranks, jerks, popers, drop shot....)Caught the 4lber on a pumpkin/green 5"senko weightless with a 3/0 ewg gama hook. The other bass was on a 6" watermelon wormcarolina rigged. This Lake is beautiul. No gas motors allowed. They rent row boatsor $5.00 per hour,(bring your trolling motor and battery).Nice break or the other area lakes that are polluted with annoyingskiers, jet skies, skim boards and those idiots with thier 1000 watt stereo's blastingwhile they cruise around the lake.

City: san ranciscoTips: ish rom shore using #10 bait hook with split shot 1.5' above hook and bobber 1.5' above split shot. make sure no part o hook is showing or they won't even pay attention. i you get a bite check the hook to make sure its not showing. they are also hitting on small cranks and even rat-l-traps. spoons in the 1" to 2" range in trout patterns also produced. ish a ew hours beore sundown to sundown.
