Report: Got on the lake too late to exploit any topwater action but we hammered 'em on deep diving shad crankbaits, senkos and drop shotting- all day long! Too much excitement on the way home though;a tire on the trailer came loose and proceeded to break off the studs when it came off.Luckily Kragen was still open and I was able to get the 3/8" Allen wrench to change out the studs(in 90 degree heat!!)Could have been so much worse.I will be talking to the tire shop that just put that tire on a month or two ago!! Anyone out there ever have a problem with trailer wheel lug nuts loosening??

      Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: On tuesday I had the chance to talk with some o the board members or the parks commission. I had hoped to have some support but I did what I had to do. I explained exactly what was going on and what we needed to do to correct this problem. As o now there will not be any more bass transported to the quarry lakes. I explained the problem with chabot is not the abundance o mature bass but the lack o cover or the smaller ones. With the publics help and knowledge about the cover problem maybe we can make the dirrerence. We have not won this battle but we have shown a pressence that will not go away. I mysel will be aboard the next time the biologists go and do the shock to eliminate carp and will see irst hand how they do it. I also mentioned that when trees all in and around the lake the parks Dept should not pay to have the brush removed that there was a great place or it and thats in the lake. Overall It was a good meeting and things are looking up. By the way I went ishing today caught 1 ish ater 5 hours. A basic day o bassin at ChabotDonald C. Osbonre

Tips: Please practice CPR Catch Pic Release

Report: I like ishing Turlock lake the best. The lake recieves almost no bass ishing pressure and the ish pull harder than any bass around including Delta bass. When I was ishing out o my 12' aluminum boat we had a 2 1/2 pounder pull the boat. Woodward isn't worth ishing right now because o all the boaters but early and late in the year the lake is very good. The Stanislaus river is un to loat down or stripers. The Toulumne River used to be excellent or bass and stripers above Waterord. I you ever plan on going to one o these places e-mail me and I will let you know what I know.

Report: Spent the day trying new water in the South Delta. I threw cranks, spinnerbaits, Zippers, and Senkos. All produced. Caught 20+ ish with the best ive going 12lbs. Fished structure...lay down trees...and the typical Delta garbage. Best two ish came on crank o the same rock wall in the deep South Delta. Fished in Disco and caught the entire 'dink' population and decided to call it a day.
      City: discovery bay

Tips: Fish the trough between rock and weed line at high tide and the edge at low tide. The only pattern I've igured out is the best ish come rom rock or lay down structure. Likely the result o shade and crawdad habitat.

Several ish to 1.5 lbs and one hen at 3.5. My best this year. She came o a red bank near a rock line. Rest rom points and rocky banks, larger rock better.

Tips: Hula poppers and jitterbugs early and late. Both blue and yellow skirts worked with spinnerbaits. Ater morning bite, areas with some color in water, not too much, worked best.
