Water Temp: 70+
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I stopped by Calero for about 30 mins before the park closed and wanted to throw spinnerbaits initially. Way too many weeds and I had to go with a weightless 6" senko. Worked the shallows left of the parking lot and landed a 1.5lber.
Earlier this weekend I got a 4-4.5lber near the middle of the large cove. Also on a weightless senko. My friend also landed a similar sized one with a texas rig 6" powerworm.
City: san joseTips: Orange/watermelon colors. If you are fishing during the day, look for muddy waters or shade.

Report: Wow!
There are so many grammatical and typographical errors in these posts I suggest your time be spent attending school rather than fishing.

City: santa claraTips: any advice, like ppl who are doin the melcottons tourney, for this type of weather and lake pattern, please email me..im just thinkin look deeper until they get back to spawning...

Report: Calero is used as a transfer lake as it connects with the reservoirs to the south (anderson, coyote, uvas & chesbro). water is then pumped to perc ponds and other water storage areas.

Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My buddy and i got on the water at 8:40am and he landed a small one almost immediately on a 4" black senko. I caught one about the same size 20 mins. later dropshotting with an Aarons magic robo. Soon after that I caught about a 2.5 pounder with same technique. We couldn't catch a cold after that though! I threw swimbaits, spinners, cranks, buzzbaits, basically the box. Fish are a lot deeper than you might imagine for this time of year. We were off he water by noon. Very slow day today.
City: Willow GlenTips: Fish off points in 10-17 feet of water, I saw no fish on the banks at all. If you are short on patience then don't bother, go to the beach instead! We asked others how they did and it was much of the same, with all catches(or lack there of) coming on plastics.

Water Temp: 65-68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: All in all not to bad a day considering the conidtions. I was able to catch 11 keepers with the best 5 going at 18lbs. 10oz. with a 6.2 kicker. I was hoping to do some sight fishing but with the lake dropping some 6'to 8' and the water warm and stained this made things real difficult. Most of the better fish I caught including the 6.2 were full of eggs. This left me scratching my head. I feel that most of the spawn is over but with the water dropping this puts the fish on edge, so maybe there is still a wave to spawn. I caught most of my fish in or around spawning areas mostly coves. no real pattern, I caught fish on senkos ( green pumpkin), drop shot baby brush hog ( watermelon/red) and pointer 100 ( baby bass). I tried spinnerbait, buzzbait, rattletrap with the best bite coming from the top three baits. I hope this helps out the bite should get better with the weather improving and if they stop letting water out. Good luck and remember catch, photo and release.
City: San JoseTips: I caught most of my fish from 2' to 4' of water but it seems like the most fish are out alittle deeper waiting for things to settle down. (ie. weather and dropping water). Concerntrate in or around back of coves and spawning areas there are still good fish back to be caught.

Water Temp: 58-62
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Great weather, there was a lot of traffic though. Fishing was tough for me today, most fish were suspended around 13-17 feet, and pretty much inactive. Tried drop-shotting, rip/crankbaits, spinnerbaits etc. Caught one 3 pounder off a purple senko. Saw several huge females, probably 8-10 pounders at the very back of Cherry Cove, in about 1 1/2 feet of water, not taking anything though.
City: Los GatosTips: Personally, I think this place is overrated...

Water Temp: Didn't Check
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: On water from 2pm thru 7pm, caught five on watermelon baby brush hog, all in Bailey's Cove except one. Largest was 3.5, others averaged 1.5 with one smaller. Hopes were high when I landed first four fish before 3pm. Then the fast action turned to no action at all for the next three hours. Finally boated last fish in the small cove between Bailey's and the dam. Tried other baits to no avail, i.e., Senkos, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, cranks, Stacees, and even a frog. All fish released.
City: Santa ClaraTips: I fished weedline edges and all my bites occurred on the fall as soon as bait hit the water. Be alert. Saw other folks landing a few fish, mostly on plastics, too. I'm still waiting for the rip bite to happen. Hope I'm there when it does.

Water Temp: 65-98.1
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Calero today from 8 to 3:15. Started slow had two fish by 12:30. One on a trap and one on a senko. Then it happened. I saw a couple bluegills swirl around a tree across from the inlet. Decided to split shot an Aarons magic worm because it looks like a bluegill. Started picking up More and better fish. Last 8 were on this rig. Tight to wood. 3 3lbers and the rest good solid 1.5 to 2. 1 dink thrown in as well.
City: San JoseTips: Pay attention to what is going on around you. It may help you key in on a bite.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Took the family out for a day on the lake. The 2 teenagers caught a couple og nice LM's 3.2# and 6.5#. Both were caught on live minnows. Personally I was throwing everthing(senko, brushhog, spinnerbait, crank) and could not get bit.
City: Morgan HillTips: The klive minnows seemed to be working real well. Was the first trip to Claero so any tips would be appreciated.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Managed to scrape up two nice sized crappie on a small crank. Bass bite was tough, landed nothing - threw senkos, beavers, lizards and spinners. Had some nice bites though, at least thats what I like to think they were. What the hell, it beats working.
City: san joseTips: senkos, lizards, and spinners have always worked for me here.
