Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: A friend and I got to Calero around 7pm and hiked around to Miners Cove. We fished spinnerbaits, plastics, and crankbaits. Each of us got a hit on a plastic worm, but that was about it. Water was really warm and there were no boaters out there, so it was nice and quiet. Saw a couple of other guys catch a couple on plastics.
City: SaratogaTips: One guy caught a decent one on a black worm with an orange curly tail. My friend and I were using june bug colors, so maybe that's the difference.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at about 7:45am today (Friday). Went south throwing topwater (chug bug). Landed three. A 2.7, a 2.4, and a 1.7. Topwater bite then disappeared. Started throwing a spidergrub on a standup head. Landed five more fish all between 1.0 and 1.8. Not a bad day. Was windy. Get off the lake around noon otherwise it gets rough with all of the skiers.

Water Temp: 71 all day
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Took a fella out I met the other weekend at the WCB tourny. Rained in the morning and was a little breezy. Perfect for top water. Caught two 3's and a 4.6 on the scale. Partner forgot the rain gear and had to go home and get it. Of course when he left the water glassed out and the rain stopped. Went to the big island in the Northern section and started seeing a lot of shad getting the crap knocked out of them on the surface. Bass were hungry cause every fish I caught was healthy and starting to look more like a happy none spawned out fish. Well some of the surface feeders were decent sized but I knew there would more likely be big fish near by so I started fishing the bottom in about 20-30ft. Bingo back to back 5# fish without a hook mark in them. Slow steady retrive working for them. Partner got back picked him up and showed him the two 5's in the well for pictures he was a little bumbed he wasn't there for the action. The wind started up again. Bye bye topwater fish hello bottom. Caught some more 1-2.5 pounds mostly. Decided to see if the crank bite was happening yet and whamo were on them again. Crank bite slowed switch to a blade and on the third cast hooked a toad. A very spawned out 6.5, easy eight with anykind of weight. Tail almost completely gone and looking pretty sad, felt sorry for her wish the blade could have been a baby duck, would have been a lot better for that poor girl. Oh well she'll get a snack, shes hungry.
City: Mountain ViewTips: Senkos, topwater, cranks, blades and plastics all working just fine. Fish are grouped up so don't leave the area unless you feel the fish have moved.

Water Temp: 74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched on Saturday around 11:30am. Caught 2 right away on a C-rig. Then the bite was gone until about 3pm. A buddy met me at 3pm. While he was standing on the dock he tossed a spider grub right next to the dock and landed about 1.8lb. We continued around the lake throwing spider grubs, worked slowly on the bottom in about 17ft. water. We landed 11 fish and lost four. Nothing bigger than two pounds. Still was a fun day. We had doubles twice during the day.

Report: Went tubing, with a friend, Sunday. I hooked a 2lber just left of the damn on a white spinner bait. A little while later, my partner got another on a white spinnerbait. I snapppedped my spinner bait off, so I switch to a purple worm, didn't wont to re-thread my rod ;) About that time several water skiers came very close to us. I would say within 20 feet. One guy actual went between me and the shore. I caught one more on a worm and called it a day.
City: San JoseTips: Get there early fish fast and get off the lake by 10:00.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Here are two reports: First off, launched at 7:30am, first boat off on Friday. Decided to work my way south throwing a buzzbait. Third cast caught 2.7lbr. continued throwing the buzzbait down the bank and had zippo the rest of the way. Went towards the north end and fished deep (18ft-20ft.) with a C-rig plastics. Caught four more fish, and lost two (trying to do business while fishing isn't effective for either). All hell was breaking loose at the office so I had to head in at 11am. On my way out, five pleasure boats were coming in. Perfect timing. Finally, for all of you golfers, be sure to keep a rod in your golf bag. If not you are missing some great action and big fish. I was in Palm Springs last week for a bach. party. Played PGA West, Stadium Course. Caught five bass, up to about 3.5 lbs., on about a total of twelve casts. Golf course ponds are loaded with fish that see zero pressure. That was a perfect day. Threw a grub on a lead head.
