Report: Hey Tom, just a quick question. Which spot did you fish? can you please give me more tips to fish on this lake. I fish here twice, i did just okay both times with fish around 1lb to 2lb. But I heard that this lake should produce some big ones. Please give me more tips, i'll be really appreciated.

    Water Temp: Cold

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Very cold and windy...rained hard off and on but action seemed to pick up. 2 Bass (3 and 6 lbs.) and 1 Trout (massive 12 lbs). Bass came on chart/white spinner bait fished along shoreline. Trout nailed a 10" black worm on a dart head jig at weedline. Thought I hooked into a striper...stripped off a ton of line.
    City: Antioch

Tips: Based on previous years logs I've kept, Bass should be pressing against the shore 1st week in March. With these cold fronts coming through, they appear to still be holding just at the drop offs. Try slow rolling spinner baits and even swimbaits have produced a couple of fish over 8lbs for me recently. GOOD FISHIN !

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I fished here for 3 years before I bought my bass boat. I have caught fish bass to 8lbs, but many 3-6lbs on occassion. this lake has one problem and that is the people who keep the bass, I have seen people put 10lb bass on a stringer there, ugh!!@! two colors work real well, green and purple, after that black is my next choice. spinner baits white and chart/white
along the dam is a good choice this time of the year, use heavy tackle, the chance of a large 15lb+ striper is possible (I've witnessed this)
For plastics I always liked robo worms, yamamoto spider grubs (fished on a 3/8 oz football jig head) senkos (better in march-june)drop shotting can be good around the "hump" there is an underwater hump about 150 yds out from the ramp going towards the dam. I have one secret lure I never left home without, most people I ever told laughed and thought I was full of it, a chrome/blue kastmaster! when you see shad on the surface or any kind of surface action throw that kastmaster through it, I caught many, many bass on it, and still use it to this day to catch bass on the delta.

    Water Temp: 55-56

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Second time ever bass fishing Loma. I have to fish the small local lakes now since my bassin' buddy with the bass boat relocated to Boston! Ugh!!I recently Bought a little pontoon boat for the small waters. Pretty cool rig but you are very limited with some of your presentation techniques. Anyways, I ditched work and thought I would see if any bass are on the move with the warm weather we are having. Tried jigs, dropshot, and cranks with absolutley nothin'doin'. Water clarity was just awful and didn't even get a nibble! I'm 0 for 2 now at this place and I haven't been skunked in a long, long, time. Maybe third time's a charm?
    City: Concord

Tips: I'm Trying to figure out this place to see if it's even worth my time. Usually "powerbait" waters =spooky hard to catch bass. This place seems like it would be a nightmare to fish on the weekends with everyone trying to catch their dinner. I've seen some nice bass pics out of this place from last year so maybe some of you that are more familiar with the lake can give me some advice.

    Water Temp: ????

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I floated good old Contra Loma on Monday. Fished all morning with swimbaits with no takers. Gave in and broke out my drop shot rod and landed 15 in a couple of hours. I got one a hair under 4lb and the rest were a mix of 1-1.5. Paddled around the whole lake and hit all the main points. I did see a guy land a nice catfish maybe 6 or 7 pounds on what he claimed was catfish stinkbait. No other anglers that I could see on the lake today. The usual color(purple) was the ticket today as it has been lately. I am still waiting for the swimbait fish to come my way. I also caught a 21" rainbow in a rattletrap 12 inches off the shore right at the dam.

    Water Temp: unknown

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I started out at the corner of the dam on the west side of the lake @ about 12:45. I tried a chartreuse shad spinnerbait and got one hit. I switched to a 4.5" Prizm Shad Roboworm on a drop shot and caught a 2lb. 4oz. I got a few more bites on the drop shot, but didn't conect with any of them. I tried a jig, dart head Flirt, and hula grub too but didn't even get touched. I went down a bit towards the back cove and caught a 1lb trout on a spinnerbait. Once I got in the back cove I started throwing the spinnerbait again and caught a 1lber. I worked the back cove pretty thoroughly witha various baits but didn't catch anymore. I then went to the back dock and caught a 1.5lber on the Prizm Shad worm. I went to the swim lagoon rocks and a caught a 1lber on a Bevy Shad ripbait and a dink on a drop shot. That was it and I left around 7pm.
    City: Antioch

Tips: I don't have many tips to offer. I'm not really sure where the fish are or what they're doing. I can't seem to catch them as consistently as I have in the past few months. The fish are feeding on shad though, so use shad pattern baits.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well I just moved to Antioch about a mile or so from the lake. I floated it Wednesday morning. I had visions of swimbait fish but there were no takers. Went back to the car and got out the dropshot and caught 15 or so fish pretty much everywhere I went. No big ones best maybe a 1.5 or so. Threw a spook for a while with no takers. Fished from 7-11, the water was really nice. Any and all info would be appreciated. I plan on bringing my boat up to the house so I will pound this lake. I am always looking for hitchhikers so drop me a line if you wanna go.
