Report: Well senko's are the top choice here for bass to 4 pounds and they are shallow and on beds now watermelon red/black flake and junebug are good colors to throw now wacky worm or texas rig it dosent matter. Blades are also a good choice gold and silver combo willow leaf in char and white or char/blue in 3/8 oz work in 3 to 8 feet of water. 5mph area and also the east side or camper side of the lake are hold nice bass in the coves and on flats in shallow water. Traffic is lite on weekdays and heavier on weekends. Jig fishing is on but my choice is senko's the bite is on and you cant lose on throwin this bait. Lizards and brushogs are good also.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Today all are fishing were in shallow water and black & blue jigs in 1/4 & 3/8 oz with are trailer (179) smoked double tail w/ black & blue flake grub ( yamamoto ) are bass were in 8 to 14 feet of water and most were tight to brush piles and around the base of rock piles. We had 14 bass in 6 hours to 4 pounds. Not many angler trying because of water clarity dont be fooled by the color because the bass are still there you just have to change up to darker colors. Brown & purple or junebug are still good colors now and you dont have to get there a day break. The senko bite is also good peg the nose with nail weight & hook wacky worm. Think shallow these fish are there and well bite with some patience. Traffic is light on the week days. The 5mph area is a very good area to fish now with the water leval high lots of brush piles under water now and long flat points are holding really nice bass.

Report: Bass fishing was hit and miss over the weekend here.Theres a few swimbait fish being caught nothing over 7 pounds and senko's are still picking up bass too 4 pounds colors are watermelon red/black flake ( 208 ) wacky worm style with nail weight works best to fish in 8 too 15 feet of water. right now i would be hiting the long points with deeper water on both sides and also the backs of coves as the water warms faster as it shallows up brush piles will start holding fish as they get ready to spawn they well find the first available cover for protection. You can bet there going to be some more action on swimbaits as it starts to warm up in the next weeks ahead.
    City: kerman ca.

Tips: Topwater going to play a part here in the comming weeks as well as the senko bite sweet beavers are starting to work also. Get ready for more action because it going to start heating up with the water levae as high as it is. GOOD LUCK KEEP A TIGHT LINE.

    Water Temp: 53 to 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well another week of fishing out of the way and there still a good bite on 2 to 4 pounds bass in the 5mp area on jig in green pumpkin 1/4 & 3/8 oz with yamamoto 208 watermelon red/black flake single tail grubs as the trailer. Also brushogs are still good carolina rigged and senkos in watermelon or watermelon red/black flake work also. The bite slowed through the storm and some swimbait fish are still showing up but most bass are in the 2 to 4 pound range. There been no problem putting 10 to 12 nice bass in the boat in 2 to 3 hours of fishing these bass are shallow from 8 to 15 feet and are pretty much staying in that range now. GET READY FOR ROUND TWO IT COMMING SOON. I fish this lake over 150 time a year and this lakes not hard to figure out you throw the basic tackle here and you will catch nice bass. Cover now is a big part of the bass now as it get closer to spawn and the big bass as in 10 to 12 pound range are setting in 12 to 20 feet of water now and wont move up much more now. The dam area and swim area going to play a major part in some swimbait action here in the next two months. Also as it warms the nite fishing here going to be outstand with the water level up. The east side of the lake or camper side those major coves and humps on the east side are hold bass now.
    City: kerman ca.

Tips: Fishing here will pick up as the weather warms the bass are shallow and here to stay and pretty much everything you throw from jigs to brushogs, lizards, senko's they all work and it not hard too put 10 to12 fish in the boat in a half day of fishing. Any questions e mail me here.

    Water Temp: 53 to 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well the bass here are still in the shallows and brushogs and senko's and jigs are still taking most of the bass to 4 pounds. This weekends storms didnt keep the bass from hitting and it not to hard to put together a pattern to catch them.Right now it rock piles and flats brush piles and around trees take your pick it pretty wide open now and will stay that way till after the spawn. carloina rig brushogs and even lizards in junebug or watermelon red/black flake work well. Also lite green pumpkin jigs in 1/4 or 3/8 football head with a yamamoto single tail watermelon red/black flake grub works well also. traffic has been on the lite side because of the weather.
    City: kerman ca.

Tips: More storm are on the way so keep and eye on the day with sunshine and fish areas that are close to deeper water east bank from ranger station to east ramp is a very good area right now. Good luck and any questions e mail me at markinman50@aol.com

    Water Temp: 53 to 56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The big bass are still hold up and there are more than a good share of 3 to 4 pounders still been caught with swimbaits taking most of the bigger fish. Brushogs and senko's are a close second by many anglers with jigs arounding out the selection of baits used this weekend.Bass are still holding in 8 to 25 feet of water flats and rock piles are good areas to fish now as the bass are starting to move and hold more to these areas. Lake is coming slowly and no water is been released at this time traffic was lighter this weekend.
    City: kerman ca

Tips: Right now as we get closer to spring this lake going to get even better. The baits you use such as senko's brushogs swimbaits spinnerbaits topwater and rip baits will be a good choice here. If the lake level hold we should have a very good spawn. Still the major points from the dam area from the east bank to theeast ramp are still a good area also the 5mph are going to be major areas to hold some of the bigger bass. Any questions e mail me at markinman50@aol.com

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well guys i didnt do very well this weekend i had 5 bass in 7 1/2 hour and biggest was around 3 1/2 pounds and i even caught one about 7 inches long he fought like he own the lake. i use a new jig today it was a lite pumpkin and rust color and a 208 yamamoto watermelon red/black single tail grub. The bass were in 10 to 30 feet of water and the lake has come up 7 to 8 feet from last week. There was a tournament on the lake saturday the sierra bass club from clovis ca. but i didnt get to the weigh in so i hope to have some info on there tournament at next writing im sure there were some nice baas caught saturday traffic was heavy as they closed the day use side to parking around 10am.Brushhogs still should be a good choice to fish and yamamoto ( senko's )and there 5" kreature baits are a good choice to fish this lake with. stick with rock piles fish around the bases of the rocks and also flats with deep water near by. Also try brush piles as some bass are starting to move up and hold in these areas. The islands on the east side of the lake are holding some nice bass in 10 to 25 feet of water. Big storm front coming this week starting sunday night and last till thursday may stain the water even more if water is going to be released.Call ahead to ckeck lake clarity at 559-689-3255
    ranger station.
    City: kerman ca.

Tips: I still think the east side of the lake hold the best fish. Brushogs,senko's,5"kreature baits are going too be good baits to fish in the coming weeks. Also spinnerbaits and swimbait action will pick up again. swimbaits ( ABT ) are leading the way as the bait of choice here at this lake.Im trying new color of jigs in my line that i make and so far there working well. Im trying to put colors together for eastman & hensley as well as millerton & pineflat & mclure. Good luck any questions e mail me here at markinman50@aol.com

Report: Sierra Bass Club fished last Saturday with some sorry limits brought in. 15.14 took home the goodies, Brian Orange was the lucky angler with 2 fish over 5lbs. Big Fish went to Clayton Cope over 7lbs they were fishing in the same boat. we were fishing for 4 fish and seemed like the limits were hard to come up with. Seems like the cold front and the lake coming up moved the fish all over. My boater was catching fish in 50' but the top 3 of the tournament were 15' and up. 23 boats and the lake was full.
    City: Clovis

Tips: better fish came off the humps. lots of fish in the rocks 0-10' Jigs in black/blue and jigs in brown/purple and solid brown. trailers were yamamoto and sweet beaver.
    Spawn should start any day.
