Report: Well the cold weather didnt much slow the bass down there still in 10 to 20 feet of water and the east side of the lake from the ranger station to the east dock produced some nice bass to 4 pounds. Brushogs in watermelon and watermelon red/black flake worked on carolina rigged 18 inch leader. Most bass were in the 10 to 20 foot range and are still holding off rock plies and are starting to lay out on the flats. As the weather warms this week the bass will move up again. As we move into the last part of feb and the first part of march there should be some big fish been caught and swimbaits are going to be even more the favorite of angles how know how to use them.Ill stay with jigs and start change up colors now as the weather starts warming up. senko's ( yamamoto ) will be a bait to throw also watermelon is my favroite & watermelon red/black flake hooked texas style and as weather warms move to wacky style will start to catch fish shallow.
    City: kerman ca.

Tips: Better and warmer weather should start a mini boom again here there is lots of pressure on the weekends so if you can get to the lake durning the weekdays that is your best bet. Good luck and any questions E-mail me here.

Also it time to get the baby brushogs and lizards out for some carolina rig fishing. and 18" leader is good to statr with as you want to keep the bait closer to the bottom. Report: Will the bass are still on a good bite with fish going up to 4 pounds. The bass are in 8 to 25 feet of water and jigs in pumpkin green are still working well. Now that the weather is warming up get the lizards and brushogs & spinnerbaits out because the bass are moving up shallow. traffic was heavy on saturday because of superbowl sunday and the bite slowed in the afternoon saturday with that quick little front that came through. Sunday it pick up again with the bass back up as shallow as 5 feet in some areas. the east side of the lake from ranger station to the keep out byous are still the areas to hit. also the swimming area on the day use side is holding fish. The 5 mph area is also holding bass in 8 to 25 feet of water as some bigger fish are shallowing up and there still some swim bait action going on. The weather should really be good this week and some bigger fish should come up shallow so pick and area and work it slowly.

Report: I've been getting alot of e mails from different fisherman on the best places to catch fish and what areas of the lake to fish. The east side banks from the dam to the keep out area is one of the best spots to start also in mid jan to mid feb the dam is my favorite also the ledge of the swimming area it run out about 150to 200 yards towards the tower. rock piles all over the lake hold fish as do drop offs.In the 5 mph area in 30 to 40 feet of water work towards the main island point as there is very good structer the fish will hold to trees in this area are good also. that is a big bay and bass well lay there up is shallower water i like to fish in 15 to 50 feet of water this time of year . these storms we have be having in the past few weeks have been warm so some bass have been in less than 10 feet of water. basic lures like bass jigs brown or brown & purple also pumpkin green have been working for me i have my own lure company (bass jigs)ive excess to a variety of colors & yamamoto grubs are my favorite grubs.I fish jigs year round ripbait & swimbaits work towards spring as do senkos also drop shotting. remember though you only need the basic a few worms & jigs & grubs and you can have alot of fun at this lake oh yes a camera is a must.
