    Water Temp: 62.5

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished between 10AM and 2PM. Not a very good window of time, and the fishing reflected it. It was tough. Fished from 25 to 40ft of water. One sluggish bite and I missed him. Fished tubes, worms and reapers with nothing to show. Talked to one other "regular" and he had only one small 12" fish to speak of. Just a tough day. Blue skies, 75 deg, and no wind. Not a good combination for fishing, but a beautiful day to say the least.
    City: Clovis

Tips: Fish early or fish late, but don't try the middle of the day right now!

Report: Took my firlfriend fishing with me this day. We started off around 10AM, fishing plastics but only caught "dinks" in the shallows. Moved further out, tied on a couple of deep-diving crank baits (one blue & silver and the other shad colored). Both of us hooked up with several fish, on the points, in 20 to 25 foot depth. Called it a day around 4PM with a total of 5 fish in the 2 to 3 lb. range. Many other, smaller fish caught as well. Pictures taken & ALL WERE RELEASED. A great day!
    City: Fresno

Tips: Try a key your deep-diving cranks on the points holding bait fish in the 20 to 30 foot range......and hold on!

Report: After reading all the bad reports I had to give it a shot. Thursday on the lake about 4:45 am. Water about 76 and overcast skies. Had 3 fish about 2lbs before first light. Then they hit on buzz bates and top water poppers. At sun up -spinners and rattle traps. Fished until about 2pm. Boated about 25+ fish, most in the 2 to 4 pound size. Six I weighed and measured at 5 to 7 lbs. No Bull. just a lucky day. Saturday not so good - clear skies. Good hits early in the day, died off about 9am or so. About 15 fish - 1/2 to 4 pounders. Sunday good fishing early, 15 fish on crank baits and rattle traps.
    City: Fresno

Tips: Top water deep in the coves 3 feet of water early in the day. Medium to deep runners in the open water work good. If you're into plastic, purple Texas rigged worms work great. Crawdads do good, too.

    Water Temp: 65-67

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Thursday in the pouring rain from 2-7pm. Not a breath of wind, but boy did it come down hard. Let up about 5pm. Had another 20-25 fish day, with a little better quality this time. Had 5 or 6 fish over 3 pounds, but they all looked like they were spawned out. The fish has the bodies to be over 4 lbs but had no bellies what so ever. Fish were still relating to the brushy pockets. Caught most on flukes and senkos, but did have a couple of really cool fish hit a buzz bait and a spinner bait. Both of those fish came out of heavy cover and were very exciting to pull out of the cover and land. Bummer part was I couldn't duplicate that bite anywhere else. I think some fish are still spawning, but I feel at least one wave of fish has already spawned from evidence of the fish I caught and fry I saw in the bushes. Can't complain about 25 fish days, but have had much better days on Eastman during this time of year. The next few weeks should still be good especially with the top water bite taking off.
    City: Clovis

Tips: Still had to force myself to slow down to get bit. Most bites coming on the pause of the fluke. Just give it a couple of extra seconds between jerks.

    Water Temp: 67-70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The bite if finally picking up. Had a 25 fish day on Friday. Would have been better if I had figured things out a little sooner. Fished brushy pockets on the main lake. Flukes and senkos caught most of our fish. Saw some bedding activiy. Even had one small fish eat a white trash sweet beaver that I tossed on his bed. It should only get better. I didn't have much for quality. Best 3 fish went around 3lbs each. Did see a guy lose a 8 lber and talked to a couple of guys that caught 2 fish over 5lbs. I had just fished over that 8 lber. I think I needed to slow down a bit and fish that senko out a little deeper for those prespawn females.
    City: Clovis

Tips: Fish seemed to be on the outside edges of the pockets. Look for banks that have sand and rocks that do not have much of the sping weeds. Conditions are looking good. The lake is full and has been stable for a couple of weeks now. Fish should get real happy this week.
