Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: lAUNCHED AT GRANITE BAY THIS MORNING. LAUNCH RAMP IS IN TERRIBLE SHAPE! 15-20 FEET OF WOOD DEBRIE HUGGING THE SHORE LINE! STILL MANAGED TO LAUNCH. FROM THE LAUNCH RAMP TO ALMOST THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE THEIR WAS A WALL OF DEBRIE ABOUT 10 FEET THICK, BY THE END OF THE DAY IT ALL WASHED UP TO THE SHORELINE. O.K. NOW LETS GET DOWN TO BUSINESS-FISHED BETWEEN 8:00AM- 3:30. NO MONSTERS TO REPORT-2.4 LARGEST FISH. CAUGHT THE WHOLE GRAB BAG, LARGEMOUTHS, SPOTS, AND SMALLIES. ALL OF OUR FISH CAME FROM SURMERGED TREES, EXCEPT ONE ON A WHITE SPINNERBAIT ALONG A STEEP ROCK WALL. 5 INCH SENKOS IN WATERMELON RIGGED WACKY SHORTENED 1 INCH. WE FOUND THAT WE HAD TO MAKE OUR BAITS SMALLER TO ACTUALY HOOK THE FISH. MISSED ABOUT 7-8 FISH BEFORE I made this adjustment and ended up with about a 80% SUCCESS RATE. WE FOUND SOME CURRENT(THATS RIGHT CURRENT)AND LET IT PUSH OUR SENKOS UNDER THE TREES. When the fish grabbed it, IT IMMEDIATELY DARTED AWAY FROM THE TREES(15-25 FEET)AND YOU HAD TO BE CAREFUL ON THE HOOKSET BECAUSE THE FISH ONLY SEEMED TO BE MOVING THE BAIT AWAY FROM THEIR BEDS, AND NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN EATING. ALL FISH WERE LIP HOOKED. CAUGHT AROUND 30+ FISH BETWEEN 2 PEOPLE. PUT ON SEVERAL COATS OF 50 SUNBLOCK BUT i DONT THINK IT HELPED BECAUSE IM GLOWING RED RIGHT NOW.

    Water Temp: 63-66

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Moved around a bit and found myself & the kids on the Main Body throwing dartheads on trees. In about an hour we hooked about 15-18 2 lb. Spots. There was even a 5lb. Smally that I plucked off of a bed with my darthead. Kids had a blast and even got to swim a little.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Main body is kinda murky right now and I had a hard time locating beds, but the fish are in every tree that you come to. Darthead, dropshot or senko, they will eat it. Couldn't get a reaction or swimmmer bite.

Report: CARP-O-RAMA!! Carp are up in force right now jumpin and splashin everywhere. Still manage to get some bass with plastics on beds. Tossed on a spoon and started catching carp up to 20lbs! They're fun to catch but not to release! Don't like touchin carp or catfish much.
    City: folsom

Tips: Both species are up into 1 inch of water (literally) Just look for the fish without the forked tail and throw plastics at it...OR...look for the fish with a forked tail and throw anything silver and shiny at it and some will turn on it and hit it.

Report: First time on this lake in about a year. Spent 3 hours with a friend starting around 4:30 pm just after a tournament finished up. In spite of the fish being pounded, we (my friend) managed 4 or so fish up to 2.5 pounds. There was a jig bite (black jig and Hemphill Special) and a split shot bite - tried other baits with no hits. Main body was surprisingly cold (49.6) but sheltered coves went as high as 66 degrees. Our usual spots weren't so good - probably a good idea not to go right after a tournament.
    City: Folsom

Tips: Our fish were evenly split between shallow (6') and deeper (18').

Report: Started north fork on reaction no takers in the 48 degree water, back off to 52 degree tossing jigs and found servearl a 2.5 and 1 at 3.11 and one almost 5 all spots. Went up the South fork found a few on jigs most were in the 2 pound range. Total fish around 15-17 best 5 around 17 lbs. Threw spinner, jerks, cranks, jigs nothing else. All fish came from 8-15 feet.
    City: Licoln

Tips: on the jib bite don't set the hook when you feel the tick, give it a couple of seconds then pull up until you feel the load and then just lift. the hook will still be just inside the upper lip. if you set to soon they will drop it.

    Water Temp: unknown

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out today in my tiny 10 foot boat. Launched at Granite Bay and fished up the shoreline heading north. Fish were staging and caught them on literally every point I came across. All fish came on dartheads, talked to another boat throwing blades that said the reaction fish were hitting. It was my second time out at Folsom so I just stayed small to build some confidence. Great day on the water, 20 fish caught at the end of the day.

    City: Lincoln

Tips: Fish seemed to be holding around 8-10 feet on points leading up to flats. Good luck.

Report: Fished all over the lake today & no matter where we were we just couldn't catch a fish over 3 lbs. Must have caught 25 fish in the 2-3 lb. range. Guess it's a bunch of bucks up hunting for females. All of our fish came on spinnerbaits on the side of any point. Was beautiful weather though.

Report: A few fish caught in main lake body, but good size. Threw soft plastics shallow on rip-rap near dam. Penisula trees were muddy and unproductive. Water a little warmer there though. Got one smallie on broken rock bank on So. Fork on plastic crawdad. Water was colder than expected. Should go nuts when the sun comes out for a week---maybe in August? HA! Was still posted 5 mph on Sunday, but gate attendent said no one is observing it. I saw no debris, and no skiiers and only one water flea that of course had to come buzz me. What's with them???

Report: The lake was still a 5 mph, but most of the boaters were not. Fished in the main body in 15-20 ft finding some small spots and smallies. We then move to shallow water in 5-10 ft find our bigger fish 2-4 lbs. Quency , Dennie and I were crankin , jigin and split shot, the bits were soft and very light. Cranking in weeds with rocks. They should pull the 5 mph limit, the lake clean.
    City: rocklin

Tips: Fish slow, shallow look for flats. the fish are moving up for food not bedding yet.
