Report: Fished South Lake and impoundment for 2 hours today. Tossed, slow rolled - and I do mean slow a white bleeding spinnerbait. Got a hit, but came unbuttoned. Also, threw a 4 inch Senko.

The water is pretty high and cold. Fishing was fine, although I didn't catch any. The cigar I smoked was even better.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Have been fishing on and off for a few days and catching has been hot and cold. One trip after work, under windy conditions, I tossed a small spinner bait and caught a couple of dinks, a couple of 1 to 1 1/2 lbrs and a 2lb short chunky fish. Next day - under calmer conditions, only one fish...on a weightless 4 inch purple senko wacky rigged. Tossed it around the tules for about an hour. On Sunday (Father's Day) - nada, zip, zilch. It was a beautiful day and I was out there for 3 hours having fun, so no complaints.
    City: Daly City

Tips: Pay attention to conditions and try different presentations. What works on one day, might not work the next...

Report: Fished the lake for a couple of hours. I spoke with a father and son team that caught and released a 5 pound LMB in North Lake this afternoon. I didn't catch today, but did see a couple of good size bass cruising around. Used Senko, RoboLeach. Fished 'em slowly...until the wind came up. Maybe tomorrow, after work.

Report: Out at the Lake for 2 hours - no bass. I did get a good look at some very large carp, koi and goldfish in the shallows at the bridge on the South Lake. Dozens of them. Rolling around, laying eggs, running in packs...These might be putting the bass off of the bite. Reminded me of Clear Lake in June.

The south lake level is up, almost to the same height as about May-June last year. It just needs to warm up for a few days.
