Water Temp: Cold
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Well I worked the lake for a few hours with my partners on our float tubes. Bite was really slow due to the cold water temp. I was the last one back and was re-working the tully line on my way back, when I hooked into a nice solid 5lb. fish while flipping a creature bait.
City: Daly CityTips: Water is still very cold. I caught that fish during the warmest part of the day.

Water Temp: Cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished for about 90 minutes. Senko and brushhawg jig along the tules. Fished Slow, but not a creature was stirring. The water is getting higher, due to the new water recycling plant in Daly City. They are not pumping the aquifer. If the water continues creeping up, we might have good spring fishing .
City: Daly CityTips: might want to wait a bit, till it gets warmer

Water Temp: Cold
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished for a few hours in the morning throwing small plastics and got nothing. I'll have to try the late afternoon / evening bite to see if it makes a difference. I concurr with Mike that it needs to be a little bit warmer and the lake looks prime for spring. Time to break out the float tube.

Water Temp: 60's
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the southwest shore of south lake from my pontoon midday last Sunday. Caught nothing in 3 hours while listening to the Giants lose another one on my radio.
Anyway, almost hooked up on the senko by the southern fishing pier, but I lost it.
I wonder if the City would let me plant some bass in this lake. It sure could use it.

Water Temp: NA
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Not a report; I am wondering how the fishing is at Lake Merced for bass? I have never fished it, usually spend my time at south bay lakes. Is it worth the effort? Do people nail some decent bass here? Pattern and lure suggestions, hot spots? Any info. would be most appreciated. Looks like the reports are very mixed: some people catch bass here, others say it is the worst lake around. If you can clear the water (no pun intended), let me know.
Thanks

Report: Fished the lake for about 3 hrs yesterday in some windy and rainy conditions. But managed to fool about 8 fish into biting. All were about 1/2LB to 1LB in range and were holding in about 2 to 4 feet of water. I did hook into one nice fish that I couldn't turn around on the hook set as it headed for the tulles and spit out my lure. I'll get'em next time as all fished were released to fight another day.
Tips: Fish it slow. Crank it slow.

Report: Worked the lake on the evening bite coming off the full moon phase on the 28th with my partner. We ended up with about 8 fish in the 1/2lb. to 1lb. range. My partner took big fish honors and stuck a solid fish weighing in at about 6lbs. All in all it was a good night of fishing with spending a couple hours out there. Also all fish were released to go and fight another day for someone else or maybe us again!
City: Daly CityTips: Worked it slow and cranked slow.

Report: Fished North and South Lake for a couple of hours. Stuck a large (5lb)LMB on a black/blue 3/8 oz jig with purple ribbontail trailer. Caught and released immediately. The fish are here - just have to be patient.
Did see one gentleman with a 12 lb catfish at one of the piers along the South Lake...
City: Daly City, CATips: Fish baits deep off of tule points and drop offs. Look for spots along the bank away from the trout fishermen. Fish slowly and downsize when they don't bite.
