Water Temp: very warm. hig
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sunday with no one else on the water until around 11:00. Small taps to a senko were all the action. I don't know what's going on here, but the past two times I've been to Spring have been really unproductive. The fact that it was a beautiful day and no one else bothered to get on the water early leads me to think that perhaps there's a problem here that I'm just realizing.
Is anyone else sticking fish here???

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out on Spring about 7:30 A.M. We had several hits on soft plastics but could not pick up the bite. It is almost as if they are not taking the bait in.
City: Santa RosaTips: Be ready and set the hook on little bump.

Water Temp: warm
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I fished Spring Lake Friday. I got on the water at around 11:00 am and fished until around 3:00 pm. Two small strikes on topwater was all I was able to get for four hours. WEAK! I threw shallow cranks, chartreuse, white and red spinnerbaits, flukes, senkos, lizards and the beforementioned topwater baits. The wind kicked up at around 2:00 which I thought would correspond to a decent spinnerbait bite or some topwater action given the slight chop on the water. Nothing. Regardless, it was better than being at work! There was only one other guy on the water and he caught a nice one on a soft plastic (I think).
City: PetalumaTips: Given my lack of production, who the hell knows?!?

Water Temp: 70
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: went out at about 7:45 AM and went north off of the dock. Fished senkos off the first island in the channel and got nothing. Went to far north island and got one 3 pounder. Then went back to channel and got another one at about 2 pounds. Fished senkos all day up against cover.
City: santa rosaTips: Fish senkos up against cover and take it real slow, and they will hit it.

Water Temp: 65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got out on the water at 4. Went straight across the lake to the middle island and far shore with heavy cover, planned on flipping black with red flake brush hog to heavy cover in hopes of prespawn bass waiting for a streak of good weather to finally spawn. However when i got to the middle island i was already seeing just hatched bass fry, so i guess most of my prespawners had already spawned. after about the first 30 mins i got my one and only bite of the day, a 5 1/2, spawned out bass that i flipped out of dead coontails. after that i didnt get another hit, i flipped tules, swam brush hogs through the weedbeds, fished breaklines, fished a senko, and nothing.
City: WindsorTips: its real hard to find a pattern on this lake, just fish as much fish holding cover as possible to put together a limit.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished clear lake for a good 2 hrs. Flipped a brush hog, black w/ red flake and a spinnerbait all day. fished everything from wood, heavy grass, coontails, tules, shallow, deep, breaklines, rocks and got 1 fish for it, a prespawn 1 lber. Dont bother with this lake, its dying, almost dead with all the pressure that it gets now after that Tru story that everyone knows wasn't true at all.
City: windsorTips: go somewhere else.

Water Temp: about 60*?
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Did a snoop (just a snoop....not by choice) at Spring L. with the DFG (Day Fish Group) from the club (RRFF). We learned that they preferr you not FF from the beach at this lake, and knowing the conscious presence that most FF'ers give to the area of their back-cast, we fully understand their desires. We were NOT geared for tubing today (why?....the fish are ON the bank) and desired not to weild other than fly gear sooo.........
Anyway, we did a quick snoop around the lake finding it to be in VERY similar "stage" as the club pond, though the fish are more challenging to spot due to more turbid water. We DID eyeball in the neighborhood of 20-25pr in one pass around. There are far more "trail-ends" or pull-outs with fish present and visible than those without.
Most fish were from about 12" to 7lbs......most being 14"-20". Fishing should have been grand due to absolutely glorious weather and there should have even been a conciderable amount of catching going on today. :-)
What a beautiful little area you Santa Rosa people have there.

Water Temp: 52-56
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: got to the lake around 7:45am. Water was still pretty muddy missed one fish in the tules be the boat dock. Fished out toward the north side of the lake, saw a lot of movement in the tules as if bass were chasing bait fish but couldn't find the bite. Of the 6 boats and 4 belly boaters I spoke to only 2 had caught fish, one on a white spinner. Not sure what the other was caught on.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Sorry dude. I was the guy in the kayak that helped you with your fish. That fish was both fat and healthy but, I would estimate, was more like 5 or 6 lbs. Not 9 lbs and definitely not a 10 lb. This is not a put down on you, though. It was a great catch!

Water Temp: no idea
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sunday from a float tube. On the water by 8:30 and launched from the main parking lot. Fished right at the shoreline from about 30 yards away at 90 degree angles. Hooked a 4-5# on my fourth cast. Nothing for the next hour throwing the same spinnerbait. Switched to senkos, robo worms, grubs. Nothing. Went back to the 'bait and hooked a fatty, about 9-10#. Took a pic with the help of a kayaker and released it.
Both fish were caught in dirty 6' water. Slow, steady retrieve. Neither fought as hard as I would've expected, but it is still winter and the water hasn't really warmed up yet.
City: petalumaTips: Catch and Release.
