      Water Temp: 74 - 78

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Ran around the west central Delta lookin for some better fish than the ones last weekend, Bite was tough for me. The darn wind was blowin and had a slack tide early a.m., finally around 8:45 the water was movin and I happened on to a bank loaded with good fish got a good solid 15lb flippin with big fish at 6.2. That was the only place I caught fish all day could not duplicate the pattern anywhere else. I threw everything and thought with the wind the blade bite would pick up. Not for me, anyway last weekend lots of fish but no big ones this weekend and good solid bite of nice fish just not that many.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: I gotta beleive that you can get some fish shallow on blades or flippin sooner or later.

Caught all 4 on the shallow grassy point where the tree stumps are starting to show. When it got dark I started throwing a red/blk baby brush hog and picked up 4 more ish. Got 2 on that point and 2 at the mouth o mountain springs. Let the water at 12am. 2 3lb'ers and the rest were in the 1 1/2 range.

      Water Temp: 71-74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: American Bass Anglers launched 4 boats from B&W resort. 6 hr. tourn. The day was gorgeous as far as weather but the bite once again proved to be tough, I ran to franks tract again and threw the buzzbait(black & Red) and picked up a good 3+ with an incomming tide, Then picked up two more keepers on the craw crankbait which I lost at the end of the day, with a bunch of dinks inbetween, seems allot of 11-12 inch fish are biting. Phil Lopez was the only limit to return @ 11+ pounds and a nice 4+ for 1ST place and BIG FISH honors Phil said most of his fish came off rocks near moving water throwing the Bomber 6a crankbait in a gold glitter pattern and a red pattern. I myself took 2nd place with 6+ pounds and Ron Cormier finished 3RD with 3+ pounds.
      City: Martinez

Tips: Seems that the cosistant bite is the crankbait after the morning topwater simmers off. Good luck Pete

      Water Temp: 71-76

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Little Franks in the morning and caught a 9 for my first fish at 8:15 with a small blade. Fishing the edges of weedbeds next to moving water with the small double willow (#3 1/2 & 3 1/2oz with clear skirt) also produced 2 3's and a 2. Moved to Holland Tract and caught another nice 3 and several 2's on the small blade. Steped up to a large blade and caught 2 more 3's on the outside edge of the weedbeds. Finished the day using a 5" Kalin bluegill grub in moving water breaks and picked up several dinks and a nice 3.
      City: Vallejo

Tips: Small baitfish are abundant, match the hatch. Key areas are those ambush points near moving water. Fish slower when the sun is high.

      Water Temp: mid 70's-lower

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at Sugar Barge. Hit some topwater spots in Frank's but couldn't get bit. Ran south down Holland track and picked up a couple of fish on the Spook. With the high water I decided to throw topwater all morning. Worked the spook in open water, buzzed the grass and frogged the moss. Picked up 2 quality fish on buzzbaits (including a 4lbr) over grass beds. I threw the frog on any floating moss that appeared along the bank and caught 1 3lbr in tule pocket covered with cheeze. Of course I followed that with 2 clean misses, but thats frog fishin!! As the water dropped I went to flippin plastics on weed lines. Picked up a couple of 2lbrs and then ran to Mildred. Continued flippin outside weed lines and stuck a 6lbr! I used a variety of baits to put together a nice bag. Best 5 went 17lbs.
      City: Danville

Tips: Don't give up on topwater just because the sun is up. I did'nt get a topwater bite from until 8am (started at 5:30am). I just kept working water and presenting bait and finally got some good strikes. During low tide my fish were in current and I was using a 1/4 oz bullet weight on my woim. tight lines!

      Water Temp: 65 maybe?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: went out in my loat tube today with a buddy o mine. i took about three cast beore i had a ish o a lie time on. i did not see the ish bite but i just had a eeling it did. so i set it and it darted right by me i saw it good. it was a good 9 through 11 pounder. it went went deep and tangled me up on somethin and snapped me o. later we tried shaken crawdads on submerged structurein honker bay. we each lost a good ish like 3lbs each. no little ish lately
      City: castro valley

Tips: i would suggest trying something new. i have ound that the best thing or chabot is to just experiment. the may hit a spinnerbait one day but the next day they wont want anything to do with a spinnerbait. they might like crankbaits one day , but not the next. just keep trying new things

      Water Temp: 75-80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: only ished 2 hours but caught 5 bass all keepers and 4 trout all by split shotting 4 and a hal inche inesse worms. the biggest bass was a good 3 and a hal to 4 pounder, but most were 1 to 2 pounds. the trout i caught really surprised me, to catch 4 on a plastic worm is something i have never heard o. but split shotting worms and carolina rigging grubs is the way to go. i heard the topwater bite is decent in the morning and evening, just use small topwater plugs like little poppers. please catch and release
      City: Moraga

Tips: the key is to ish deep. the little ones are shallow but the good quality ish are deep, deep is the ticket. rocky bottoms are the best. good luck

      Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had a nice trip with a riend o mine in his boat - ished rom about 6pm to 1 am. His caught the biggest - a 4 pounder on a power worm in the evening. The heat slowed down the topwater bite, but I did manage to get a 3 3/4 and one nearly 3 on Chug Bugs. Lost two nice ones. Ater dark we did catch several nice bass on worms rom 1 to 2 1/2 lbs. Big thrill o the night was a terriic strike on a crankbait ater dark - a 5 lb catish!!!! Talked to guys that were catishing on a boat - they didn't catch anything. Leave it to the bass guys!!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: As has been mentioned beore - ish were right on the bank - but mostly smaller ones. Deeper ish would not bite. Some nights it's like that.

      Water Temp: n/a

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: With Striper action slow in the south bay, I felt it was time to fish Calero again, after giving it a break since March. Me and nutcase David C put in about 8:15 and fished till 3:30. We found an unusually tough bite for this time of year. We wound up with 6 small undersized fish, and 2 nice fish a little over 2lbs. We caught them on shallow cranks along outside weedlines, shaking small zipper shakin worms, and drifting reapers off points. Also gave topwater a shot early, and tried froggin without success. Moderate breeze the whole day, and really hot. Tough day.
      City: San Mateo

Tips: Crank outside weedlines and fish 20'-30' of water off rock.
