Water Temp: 62-72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Putah creek resort at 7:30 am and fished baby bass zoom fluke got one on by the third cast then nothing for about 2hrs. Switched to everything I could think of to use in a situation like this. Then I changed areas and began site fishing found a few fish on beds but nothing to write home about, stayed on one bass until she got tired of my worm pounding her in the head and bam hook set. Set out for the north end of putah creek, hadn't been since March so I figured it was about time. I started again with the fluke and nail a nice 2 1/2 lb smallmouth then hit another but alittle smaller most of the bass were dinks but as the sun was just about right I made a switch to a Chug Bug and here's where I started having some fun just about every cast I had a hook up and the bass were nice 3 and 4 pounds and some others were small also but what a kick. I ended my day with 23 large and smallmouth bass.
City: FairfieldTips: Zoom flukes, Chug Bugs shad pattern, splash-it's, rico's or whatever you like to throw.

Water Temp: 58-59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I had 2 aternoon-night guided trips - The irst (Tues) ound weather cold and windy and great ishing, Wed was warmer and less wind and slower ishing????? First trip produced 5 ish to 3 1/2 lbs on various worms in tules south o Buckingham. Ater dark, the zipper worm bite was good, considering ishing is generally tough lately, We caught 7 more, with one client sticking a ootball 9-2 that had not even thought about spawning. She looked like a late winter ish. These night ish were 10 - 15 eet deep. I caught a couple on Weapon jigs w/ Yamamoto grubs. Wed., Client and I caught 2 just beore dark - he caught a 4 pounder on a jig in Konocti Bay and I caught a 3 on a power worm. Very slow ishing. Ater dark, we missed a couple o good ones - we caught 3 more - one being a 5 1/4. Tule bite was slow, so we ished rocks on west side o Clear Lake arm.
City: Yuba CityTips: Try another lake - just kiddin'! AS was reported by C. Hinckley and others, ronts and ishing pressure and made conditions a bit tough. Water temp has dropped. Lake will not warm up with wind this cold. Maybe try smaller baits and look or ish back on staging areas.

Report: Read a report about how to catch stripers right now. Well i took a 1/2 hr break to go for some of those dudes on Tuesday and found a 20+ in Franks on the north end. Fish was in about 8 feet of water. Caught ripping like a made man(needed a workout). That fish had a friend with her that must have been grandma my buddy could'nt get her to go. About the largemouth there all over the place rock walls for numbers, tules and wood for size. Caught 30+ fish in about an hour on plastics. Caught the big ones on floating stuff. Have fun out there tiss the season to be hooking.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: The report of the 19 and the 15 is pure BS. I did catch a bunch of 1 to 3#er's in the south delta on Saturday.
City: Discovery Bay -
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I think the person who posted the message of their 19 pounder is full of crap. I think this because that would break the delta record and i haven't herd anything about. This guy might have broke the scale with his tournament weigh in bag full of 34pounds of B.S. including his 15 pounder too.
City: LiarstonTips: This is just my 2 cents

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Who ever posted that message about catching the 19 pounder is full of crap because that would be the new delta record. I think he broke the scale because when he through his tournament bag up on it it had 34 pounds of B.S. in it. that is what it wieghs when you add his 15 pounder to it to.
Tips: That is my 2 cents

Camanche Lake

Water Temp: 60s
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Extremely slow day. The only activity came rom hundreds o carp rollicking in the bays--the lake is FULL o them... I wonder where the 7,000 lbs. o Florida strain bass went that were supposedly stocked last October! Did't see anyone catch anything during 9 hours on the lake... covered it rom end-to-end... My son Nate managed to ind and land a single 10" bass that was swimming in a herd o 5+ pound bottom-eeders... Never even saw any baitish... bad sign... weather was great, though...
City: Wallace, CATips: Don't know i the bass are on the beds or what... nothing worked... slow, ast, bright, dark, shallow, deep, brush, rocks, lats, drop-os ... nothing even produced a ollow... Clueless as to what to try...

Oroville Lake

Water Temp: 60 to 67
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: All I have to say is Oroville is on! Thursday and Friday o last week, we caught 60+ and 90+ ish with 20 to 30 over slot each day. We caught most on a Carolina rigged morning dawn 4" worm. The warmer the weather got, the better the ishing got. Although we caught ish everywhere we ished, wind blown points, ishing the trailing mud line on the down wind side o the point was the ticket. Banks with resh submerged growth held ish also. Primarily in the lower north ork and the middle ork. North ork was warmer and held a lot o ish. The trees held a lot ish. It was really pretty much wide open. I can't say enough. My thumb started to bleed by the end o the day, Friday due to the numbers o ish I lipped. When i came home and was asked how I did, I just gave them a bloody thumbs up. Go get 'em.
City: DanvilleTips: Most o the good ish were in 10 to 25 eet o water with exceptions where there is muddied water, trees up close, and early and late in the day.

Water Temp: mid 60`s
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished on sunday all day with little action. Got subtle strikes using a split shotted worm and a baby brush hog. Caught one on the worm, about 1.5 pounds. Went to the back o mountain springs and threw a white tandem spinnerbait and cought a ish that weighed about 4.5 pounds. Fish are very scattered. Some are one the rocky walls, others are in the brush. No one was catching them o the points or other deep water structure. Weather is still a little cold and had some thunderstorms, but mostly sunny. When the weather stabilizes, so should the ishing.
City: hal moon bayTips: Try the split shotted worm around the rocky walls and drop os. throw a spinnnerbait around the brush in coves and work it slowly.
