Water Temp: 58-62
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The warm weather has pushed some o the 1-3lb. male ish up on the bank, 1-3eet. The larger emale ish I ound were out in the 6-15 eet o water. I threw a hal ounce shad colored spinnerbait and slow-rolled it rom the bank down to about 15 eet. I cought ish all day doing this. I also used a carolina rig with a "caliornia worm" in the 082 color. the 082 is a purple worm with a neon blue vain in it. The bigger ish came on this worm at about 9:30 in the morning. This is when the bight really started. I ished a grub in the smoke shad color and just killed the spots, most about 1lb. but they were un. I ished up river adout hal way between horseshoe and bagby. The bigger ish were on steep, rocky banks. goodluck on your next outing...
City: mercedTips: Use plastics, I preer the "caliornia worm" in the 082 color, also try the greenweenie colors, they are always good. I also cought ish on a shad colored spinnerbait. A salt and pepper grub will catch a lot o ish, mainly spots and about 1 pound, but they were plentiul and on.

Water Temp: 50-55
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: While both striper and cat fishing at the delta(Bacon Island), I caught a fish that did not resist period. Until, I reeled it close to the bank then all of the sudden it started taking off as it approached to bank. At first I thought it was a sturgean or a huge striper. I fought the fish for approximately 15 minutes until I was finally reeled it to the bank. It's not either a sturgean nor a striper, but instead it's a huge channel cat fish. The fish is enormous and it has a spooky looks on it. I weigh the fish and it weights 30 lbs and it's length is 40". Instead of keeping it, I gave it to a black male who is always fishing for cat fish. This person repeatedly thank me and drove away thanking God as well. It feels good to see someone appreciate me so something so little like this.
