      Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Been on the lake for my weekly trip every year. The fishing was the worst I can remember. The wind made it impossible to fish most of the areas I wanted to fish. I caught a few fish on drop-shot and had a couple of very good crankin days but nothing to brag about. Best fish went 4.9 all week until I switched to minnows in the calm areas of the lake and then the quality got much better. Best of luck guys cause I couldnt get on a pattern.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the middle pond and the main lake. Caught countless bass between 1-2 pounds. Both lakes produced a few nicer fish pushing 4 pounds. Threw jigs and robo's in the middle pond, and mostly drop shot in the main lake. As far as the main lake goes, fish are DEEP, ranging from about 15-25 feet deep. I had a question I hope someone could answer. What feeds the back lakes. If I am not mistaken, the back lakes are fed by delta water just as Del Valle is. If that is the case, then that is probably where that squaw fish came from. If that is true, could other species enter the back lakes as well, such as Stripers. Just a thought, what do y'all think?

Tips: Fish deep, stay after em!

      Water Temp: mid 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Back on the float tube w/ Jonny Blaze, and had a blast. Got 8LM biggest went 6lbs and smallest was 10inchs and it wieghed over a pound. Looks like the last group of spawners are up in the shallow flats the bigger ones are in post-spawn. Caught them on a drop shot, and dragging jigs. All were caught in less then 2ft of water all over the lake. Best success was way up in the creek.
      City: SAn Jose

Tips: Stay patiant and realy work your "confidence bait", I dont belive there is one bait better than the an other but color is a big factor here, black, reds and greens are by far the stand outs here. Also, drop down in line size. Good luck and better fishing.

Report: Overcast and mid 50's. Launch 7am with personal assistant (wife, Judy). Light ripple. Couldn't resist trying topwater Pop-R, Spook and Segoi. Worked shore from marina to outhouse pt toward dam. Jumping around. Saw 1 small fish caught on white spinnerbait. After 9am, threw leadheads with worms on wall around Bobcat. Nada! Drop shot on Santa Cruz point for a while. Early lunch and that was it.
      City: Santa Barbara

Tips: Grilled Ham and Cheese was best bet for the day!

Report: Fished a Police/Fire fund raiser event out of Russo's on Sat. Thurs pre-fish went well. Armed w a super spook, my first fish went 6.8 followed by another 6 and three more solid 4lb fish all in and around Franks. I didn't catch the seven keeprs I'd need on game day but w 25ish lb bag for 5 I was off to a good start. Fri went out with my girlfriend to new water from Franks to the Break. First fish again on the spook, she goes 6.2 then four hours without a bite. Made a few moves and switched over to kermit. Ribbit, ribbit, kawoosh! A solid 8.0lb and another 4. Picked up a few more 2's and a 3 tossin blades and pitching beavers at low tide on the weed lines inside Fanks giving us another mid 20's day this time for 7. And a nice pic.

Game day started off very frustrating. I dumped a 4 right at the boat when she jumped over the net. Had another 4 come completely out of the water w the spook in her mouth never touching a hook. Then I lost a pair a 3's and was about to call it quits, this just wasn't my day. Fortunately my girlfriend was on, putting a solid 3 1/2 in the boat and got the ball rolling. We stayed on top all day and just never got the big bite we needed, oh well still a fun day for about 16 1/2 lbs. Winners had 26lbs and a beautiful toad just a hair under 10lbs reportedly on a frog.

      Water Temp: 67-73

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Quency, Ryan and I got to the lake around 6:30pm for some nite fishing. Most of the boaters were gone. We started back in Rock Creek on that Island finding some spots with lizards. As the sun was going down the bite got better with top water and brown/green jigs with # 180 grub. Picking up a 4 lb smallie and 20 spots. As the sun turned into dark the bite went away. The gate close at 11pm so the nite was short.
      City: rocklin

Tips: jigs work for the biger fish and split shots work for most of the time.

Report: Tore my keel up pretty good. Tied off into slip for the night @ Blue Fish Cove. Wind hammered my boat. Just fished off the dock for bluegill so my two girls 7 & 9 would know what it would feel like to catch fish. Didn't want to fight the wind and have only been to clear lake one other time. I don't really know where to go and how to fish the lake. I don't know if it's worth going back there. Can someone give me a tip? It would be greatly appreciated.

      Water Temp: Forgot to look

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished my favorite spots in the south end and the wind was blowing like crazy, fish 6/11 from 11:00 to 2:00, I do not mind the wind I can make it happen but the fish would not cooperate. I Have not been skunked at Clear Lake for 2 years but I guess it was humbling time. I tossed senkos, purple /brown drop shot with not even touch.
      City: San Jose

Tips: I spoke to a local and he said you need to search and search until you find a school. He was using jibs but would not say where. His buddy got skunked but he did well.

      Water Temp: 66-68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I took my youngest daughter out and we fished the north end for three hours without a bite. I figured we needed to get away from the massive carp spawn so we headed south. We started drop shoting in deeper water and picked up two fish. It got rough so we headed into a cove and picked up two more, better fish, flipping heavy cover.

My goal for the day was for my daughter to start feeling the bite in her own, setting the hook and fighting her own fish.

We stayed with it. After heading north again, we started fishing docks. I found a large group of small fish that would bite anything you threw at them. My daughter started catching fish. Then she wanted to run the trolling motor.

If you can picture a four foot tall kid standing on the front of a TR-20 running the motor, setting the hook, deck flipping 10" ers. Needless to say my day was complete. She really wanted to catch one of the 30 lb. carp that were tailing all over the shallow cover, but she stayed with drop shotting 4" worms with her Zebco 33.

On this day Clear Lake was on fire with 10" fish and I can't remember when I had so much fun!
      City: Redwood Valley

Tips: 4" worms off the docks, or deep rocks for small fish. We must have caught no less than 50.

Report: I fished with my cousin Chad today from 6:40am to 4:30pm. Way too much time spent fishing for the results that we got! We started off around the boat ramp and Chad lost a dink on a senko, then caught one small one about 11inches. We fished our way to channel point dock and got a few bites on senkos and texas rigged worms. I caught a small bed fish on a jig near channel point dock. I went a little to the left of the dock and pitched my jig to some tules and a slammed it as soon as it hit the water. I set the hook, fought it a little, and swung it up on the bank. It weighed 3lbs. 14oz. Not too bad. We kept on fishing past there and towards the lagoon and got a few bites on jigs and senkos but no fish. I fished a frog in the grass but didn't get any blow-ups. We went to the back cove and I caught a 12incher on the jig. That was it for the day.
      City: Antioch

Tips: Watermelon black/red senkos around the grass. Brown jig on rocks and tules. Don't stay out fishing as long as I did when you're not catching anything.

      Water Temp: 66-71

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Good Day. Fished with the Paulboro Man from about 6-1, Clouds in the morning with sun popping out and not a lot of wind. Got numbers and some size. We got 1 smallie, 10-15 largemouth and 1 huge bluegill. Started with Topwater in open grass, close to tules, near deep water. Went to rip baits, blades and shaky head worms. When the sun popped out we went to pitchin Senko's to thick vegetation. Best 5 probably at 13lbs, biggest fish about 4+ so we had a fair size average. Quite a few boats out there but we could find good spots.
      City: San Carlos

Tips: We moved around a lot in the morning to find active fish. Hunkered down when it got slow and bright and started pitching deeper tules. We got multiple fish in the "good" areas almost as if they would keep moving into these sweet spots as the day moved along. Saw a good amount of bait fish and fry. Monster Bluegill on the shaky head had to be the highlight.

Report: Went out with two friends at 6am, headed up the North Fork finding some top water off of points. We draged a split shot with a lizards(4") and drop shot a leach. Only finding small spots and smallies. This is the fullest we have seen the lake. Most of the coves have grass or weeds, good for cranking or spinners. We got out of the lake by 11am befor the lake lice. Off to Camp far west for some late evening fishing.

      Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I did another guide trip - half day this time - looking for quality spots. We did find some quality fish, but nothing over about 2 1/4. I did help my clients learn how to find good fish at Oroville, and with a little luck, their bass might be bigger. We did catch 30 bass in the short trip with a limit of over 9 pounds. Split-shotting and shaking worms worked well as well as Yamamoto grubs.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: We saw lots of suspended bass that just wouldn't bite. I think many of the quality bass have moved deep even though the lake is full. There are lots of bass still very shallow and fun to catch on any worm you throw at them!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: We spent about 2 1/2 hours out on Oroville this Saturday in the middle of the Future Pro Tournament. We fished the areas just south of the bridge near Lime Saddle Marina. Kimberlee, my 7 year old caught 3 bass all about 1 pound on a watermelon Bitsy Tube in about 12 feet of water. My 10 year old Colin caught 7 fish, all on the same watermelon Bitsy Tube. I was able to put 7 in the boat all on a cinnamon twin tail Yamamoto grub on 1/2oz football head jig. Biggest fish was about 2 pounds. Overall a great day on the water with little or no sign of the Tournament fishermen up that far north! It sure was nice!
      City: Sacramento

Tips: All the fish were in the shade portions just off the main points near rock or wood. We fished slowly off the bottom about 8 feet off shore in 12 feet of water to pick up 17 fish in only a couple of hours. Take a kid fishing it will make your day!
